I usually use pens that dry pretty quickly. I also wait a bit for everything to dry just to be on the safe side. :)

In a graditude log, you're writing what you're grateful for every day, for example for having a home or whatever you're grateful for. It basically helps you to become aware of what you are already having and makes you appreciate those things more.
With a mood tracker you obviously track your mood. There are different types of mood trackers, for example you can track your mood through color coding (each color stands for a mood and you choose the color every day based on how you are feeling that day)
