Hello! Regarding your question, the size of the sound source will affect the sound pickup. Normally, it will be better within 1 meter. As for the sound quality, there is no difference between far and near.
Love the videos, but......I didn't upgrade to the R series. I still have my M6 mark 2 and my Tamron lenses, lol. There are still many thousands of m6 and m50 cameras out there. Way more I suspect than the new cameras. If you want more audience look at the numbers and don't forget us. Peace.
