Well, I still use a CRT TV to this day because of some units having a built-in VCR. By 2006-2014, getting my hands on a VCR can be very tricky unless I had the time, money, and resources to search for some in secondhand stores. Jump to today, and with most thrift stores no longer accepting these kinds of displays, I started to feel confident in myself. I realize the advantages VCRs and CRTs have compared to today's tech.
I don't mind LCD's, but I'd only use them when necessary. The most common widescreen TVs are LCDs, and I mainly use them for retro games with widescreen options. beatmania IIDX is a good example of this since the games were designed for 16:9 displays in mind, but an LCD with no noticeable lag is ideal for music-based games like this one.

this video gave me another reason for why I wish MKDD was more popular. this was a great video and I wish my crt was able to travel for MKDD events instead of me just grinding solo in my room. at least theres discord but not the same as having a third place.
