Thank you KiunB for documenting such amazing people! People like this really are a testament to the human spirit.
I am struggling to understand how are reindeers capable of consuming enough calories to sustain themselves in that frozen land. Not only it is a order of magnitude harder, slower and more calorie-intensive to dig out the feed in cold, but it is also a lot more demanding to maintain the temperature. Do they lose a lot of weight during the winter?
As an optician I feel it would be life changing to introduce UV sunglasses at young ages. Notice how the eye cavities pull outward. That's UV poisoning. Easily avoided with sunglasses. I realize how bright snow is and it's very damaging in these habitats. I hope they all are well
Not sure if you are aware, but the "Asian" people of the Arctic, developed their eye folds to protect from UV... If you notice, the one boy who likes the sweets, is a much more traditional look for past Indigenous people. Thick, deep eye folds.
I rarely comment on UA-cam but I have to. The drone photography, the incredible music, your calming voiceover, the gratitude and unity this amazing family has - wow. Never stop posting Kiun! This is the kind of content we need and lack so much of!
Remarkable people and environment. A lot of the day is really just devoted to tasks to ensure survival and everyone contributes. These reindeer herders are so adapted and close to their environment they don't want to live anywhere else. I've been to some cold places but I can't imagine -70C...
This is how humans should live imo. Living off the land, respect for nature and others. They’ve got respect for life. This looks like a hard life but simple and beautiful.
I always look forward to your stories Kiun. There’s something really comforting about knowing about people who live in the coldest place on earth. Keep it up!
−71°C is an exaggeration made for clicks. i can confirm it's actually -45°C on the most colder days here, it barely gets colder than that in the winter
Your work is amazing, Kiun. I’m from Vietnam, a tropical country with a lot of sun and rain. I cant even imagine how to live in a city of -70 degree Celcius….truly amazing and delightful to watch

Last winter my fiance and I watched all your videos, something like "movie nights" 😊 wish there were more new videos. They are amazing. Thank you
How do we get that young man some sweets? 😊
Keep it up!
thank you so much 🙏🏻
By the way, I'm curious about the Yakut language, is there a particular dialect in every districts or it has no dialects at all ?
The ending surprised me. Looks like we got a rock star in the tundra, everybody gather round! 🎸
How is doing Samuil?😢 it's has been a while
It helps us to reflect to value things more and as there are no people happier than many who have a lot of money, blessings
1:30 “None of the signs of modern life” >> 8 walkie talkies and batteries hanging in tent 😂
yeah modern life version of that are mobile phones
−71°C is an exaggeration made for clicks. i can confirm it's actually -45°C on the most colder days here, it barely gets colder than that in the winter
It's a relief. lol
Your work is amazing, Kiun.
I’m from Vietnam, a tropical country with a lot of sun and rain. I cant even imagine how to live in a city of -70 degree Celcius….truly amazing and delightful to watch
Despite of too many difficulties they are living happily. The video is so heartwarming.. Much love to them❤
I am so glad that I clicked on this. I have been watching you for years. I feel so privileged to glimpse this life and these majestic animals. Your videos are masterpieces.
