    It’s interesting how the styles are designed. Dual sword seems to have a much fuller move set compared to the others. The dagger and great sword styles also return in their entirety in the later games.

      IRL Musashi’s specialty or signature was dual-wielding the two swords samurai were allowed to carry. Basically “we all got them , why not use them?”. Though his most infamous duel was won with a boat oar, which is a heavy weapon in the game.

      @@MemeLordCthulhu It’s all because of bad marketing. Like, They really want to advertise this game to look as american as possible instead of trying to show what game truly feel like. That’s why this game wasn’t even popular in the west. But with new producer like Yokoyama, I think he might have some sort of ability to help this game truly shine in the west, Man.

Kamuros do eventually become Courtesans when they become old enough, but Haruka is only temporarily a Kamuro to pay off Musashi. Ishin is like a million times more popular than Kenzan is, so it got the remake treatment first. Plus, a lot of Kenzan's content is 100% original and never used again, so unlike the first two Kiwami games which could use a bunch of the assets from later games when being made, and Ishin which effectively just got a remaster and could keep a bunch of it's original stuff, to remake Kenzan would require either 1. A ton of time and money, 2. a regular remaster, or 3. a half and half remake that keeps some things from the original and takes a ton of stuff from Ishin.

    • @yakuzaarchivechannel2530
      @yakuzaarchivechannel2530  Рік тому +15

      Kenzan not being released in the West is more due to it's obscurity than story reason. People have misconstrued that it has to do with Haruka's counterpart in the game working as a prostitute at a brothel, but in reality she works as a maid and indentured servant in one, which was normal at the time. Ishin was newer so it came over first. Kenzan hasn't come over because most people forget it exists or think the wrong things about the story.

      @yakuzaarchivechannel2530  Рік тому +4

      It's similar, but I wouldn't really compare the two. It's like comparing Yakuza 0 to Yakuza 6. They may share systems, characters, or ideas, but they are not at all alike. Kenzan, for example, has only a few characters from the main series play character in it's story with the rest taken up by new characters, meanwhile Ishin is almost entirely made up of faces from the main series with very few new faces.
      On the question to whether Kenzan is better than Ishin, that's really up to the player to decide. I personally find Kenzan to have more things I like it in than Ishin, but I also know people who hate Kenzan and love Ishin. There are completely legitimate arguments to be had both ways. If you're more a fan of the Y0-era of Yakuza games, Ishin is for you. Meanwhile if you like the Y3-4-era of Yakuza games, Kenzan would be more your speed.
