This video is about the Rules & Regulations for fossicking, applying for a Fossicking Licence online and finding out the areas you can gold detect legally in Queensland. I hope you find it answers any questions you may have had. (The audio is not perfect as I had difficulty with my microphone that has been returned to be replaced).

Thanks Annie .There are many differences between states. Great to just have a voice to go through this with. and I might say a lovely face to finally put to the voice many thanks again.
Greg
You're gold Annie!
So you can pay for a license but you basically can’t do it anywhere ?? Wow what a scam
Super helpful thank you 😊
thank you
Thank you 👍🏾🤎
Thank you again Ms Annie, ...takecare
Thanks Ooh Geeze. 😀⛏⛏👍
Good info mate, thx 4 sharing 👍
Thanks for feedback, Mr Mum. 😀⛏⛏
Thanks Annie, really enjoyed this informative video, and my sentiments are much the same as Greg ( below ) with a big thankyou for this video. Brad :)
Thanks Ma'am. If you're ever in central/northish Queensland around Townsville region I've got several quite large properties in the general area that you could prosoect if you wanted.
Some especially one I'd say exceptionally gold rich actually, and largely unworked.
Anyway it's an option I ever interested.
I don't suppose you'd have any videos or info on like the geology of the general Queensland region and the sort of things to look out for when searching an area?
It's been quite difficult for me to find much of that sort of thing online which is kinda suprising seeing it's known as gold country which a rich gold mining history.
Anyway thanks.
Hi Shredder, Thank you for your kind offer. I used to be in Townsville MDC until recently. I’ve detected in the Georgetown Q on Flat Creek Station, Western Creek Station and on Dells Hole (closed at present). It’s hard to find ground in Qld where property owners will permit you on.
With respect to videos on geology you could go to my channel and look under Playlists ‘How To’. There’s one there on How to Use GeoResGlobe that you might find helpful. Also one in how to use AusGIN for geology maps.
Cheers 😀⛏⛏
Hi @Iamshredder3587 I live a couple hours away from Townsville and would love to prospect any land you have I’d be happy to help you with geological information/mining info on the property
Hi Annie
I note the laws say fossicking is allowed on beaches but does this apply to beaches which border national parks eg Noosa?
Ahh Mike, that’s a curley one. I don’t actually know. I suspect the beach is part of NP, so no. You could ring Noosa Council and see what they say.
No sluices etc - would you require a mining claim for this?
S P, well for fossicking no ‘machinery’ Is permitted and, to my knowledge, a sluice is considered machinery. On a mining lease ‘machinery’ is permitted. Available water is more the issue. The ones I’ve seen use mechanical dry blowers. 😀⛏️⛏️
Hopefully many fortune hunters have read it.
Protecting the environment comes first 🤠🇩🇪👍
Agree mate, but in Queensland it’s ‘over the top’ restrictions compared to say NSW (permit) & VIC (Miners Right) where you can detect anywhere is a State Forest. They allow bush walking, bird watching, mountain bike riding but not recreational prospecting on State ( belongs to the people) land.😀⛏⛏
@@GoldNuggetDetecting - I agree. It's sadly becoming a damn Socialist Nanny/Police State more and more lately.
Every thing we try to do there seems we find out the gov and other bureaucrats and such have their damn grubby paws all over it trying to stifle is and rob us and control us and micromanage every last little detail of our whole day to day lives. Which must have our ancestors rolling in heir graves considering everything they worked and sweat and fought and shed blood and died for to keep is free from all that. 😒
With regards to prospecting it seems even commie Victoria, dictator dan country and ccp vassal state appears almost free and generous and unstifled compared to QLD.
Not to mention the disgraceful government and lobbyists doing all these secret backroom deals with mainly the ccp and selling off our lands and mines and mineral rights and us and our families futures everything off to commie china behind our backs for their own personal selfish gain.
While locking us in and down like dogs when we're attacked like with covid.
Yet people keep on supporting and voting for them and cheering them on like suicidal fools so... 🙄
The latter especially has got me seriously considering just packing and selling off everything taking all my business and life and family elsewhere, while we yet can. Hopefully. Which they took away even our ability to do that (for all practical purposes) away these last couple years while locking us in and up.... which is one of the most disgraceful and un-Australian things I've ever seen here to be honest.
Yet people just turn a blind eye and forget and keep cheering on their oppressors. 🙄
Anyway don't get me started haha.
Can’t find any information for us indigenous prospectors of course 🙄
I'd like to see a ranger try and confiscate a firearm off me hahahaha
