Man we need snow here in Socal! My only real snow climb was Baldy in early winter 2013. Was hoping we would have over 5 feet above 10,000 by now in the high southern ranges. Bummer ;(
I think it took us 5-6 hours to summit. Yes, there are some major slide paths on this route--you can see us crossing downed trees on one of them. As for skiing down--it never takes long enough :)
Not exactely going dwn Mammoth cornice run (groomed), but not too many can claim what you accomplished, in virgin, record snow from the winter of 2010. Gorgonio is an oasis above so much human development, that when you're there, you feel a thousand miles away from civilization. Good JOB!!
@@Electrozap6001Gaming-fun They almost did in the 1960s, however people feared the damage it would do to the environment. People feared the sprawling modern resorts that we see today on many mountains. I feel a place like San G could really benefit from a ski resort where they don't clear cut runs and instead only put one or two lifts up and leave the skiing as natural as possible.
Great video. How long does it taking you to hike up to that ridge? How long to ski down? Does that slope ever avalanche? Forgive my ignorance - I don't ski.
I always go back to this video to see what the forest looked like before the 2015 fire. Still a very magical place
It’s hot as hell down here in San Bernardino , I can see the snow on the mountain. Now I can imagine what it’s like while I look up at it in the heat.
👏....just awesome....thanks!
One of the most amazing hidden spots man. Great job guys.
Didn't except you here, well.. I guess I did.
I've summited Gorgonio in the summer. Great views. Skiing it looked epic!
2010 was a great snow year. Thanks for posting.
Got to snowboard it back in 95...epic!! scetchy blue ice on the top, once past that- it was magic.

This is absolutely priceless! Must do...
Great footage of the Berdu range. Love the shot @ 5:23 of the "10,000 ft Ridge". How I miss the high country.....
That is awesome been going to Big Bear since I was a kid and wondered if anyone had ever skied down that face way to go!

Also, really dig the "Couloir to Nowhere". It was on my to-do list, for climbing.

This is a dream of mine! San G would make an awesome ski resort haha. Any explanation for all of those fallen trees? Thanks for sharing
I believe it was an avalanche.
tell me about it. and its higher than mammoth and the acreage is unbelievable
would've been a perfect ski resort, too bad it will never happen :(
Fuck yeah! ✌️😎👍🍁🇺🇸
Looks like fun my brotha Stay blessed
It would have been a Mammoth-quality resort less than two hours from downtown...
They almost built a resort? It would of been possible if they built a wind- protected gondola starting at highway 38
