Come along and I hope you enjoy the video!

Outfit 2 - Abu Garcia Roxani Reel - Abu Garcia Rayrex 741ML Rod

Great video mate! Caught a couple reddies off the bank last week. I didn't know they stocked it with Cod! Only gold and silver perch.

Thanks mate, nice work on the reddies. Keen to get back out once the water levels get up a bit. Plenty of Cod have been stocked and just recently Rainbow Trout!

Thanks Larry, Myponga is a picturesque reservoir hey! Was great to see the native species doing well and give us something else to target instead of Redfin 🎣

Hi Karl. I certainly enjoyed watching your video. The Myponga Dam is certainly a great fishery. I do miss fishing the dams around the Adelaide region.

Hey mate, glad you enjoyed! Was good to target something other than Redfin down at Myponga! The ressies seem to be getting better and better every year. Looks like some carpark upgrades in store for south para and Myponga so they should be bigger and better next time you come down to fish them 👍

@@Karl_Wild_Fishing yeah I heard they are adding better facilities for South Para.

Yeah, was hoping for another carpark / Launch are but looks like they are just expanding the existing. If the water drops it will still be a fair hike for the kayak fishos

@@Karl_Wild_Fishing really…. I was hoping for a better Lauch site and a wider gate.

Are you allowed to keep the pirch from Myponga?

Depending on what perch species you are referring too… first of all you will need to purchase a permit from Reservoir SA to fish Myponga. The PIRSA website has all the take limits & photos to identify the different fish species for reservoir fishing.
Currently the limit is 2 Golden Perch or Silver Perch & Redfin cannot be returned to the water. Be sure to check the PIRSA website as take limits ad regulations may change.

Hey mate, got it awhile ago from a random website. Doesn’t look like they sell them anymore… I know Hobie do a good one otherwise maybe have a search around online & see what you can find.

its actually disappointing to see the govts doing so much for these lakes all the while completely neglecting the murray river. reservoir stocking needs to cease asap.

Great day out Karl, enjoyed the the longer form content, how long did this one take to edit?

Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed the vid 👌 glad I managed to find some fish after not being down that way for sometime!
This one took about a week to edit chipping away with a couple hours after work each day. Which is actually pretty quick for me as I normally spend a lot of time trying to condense my videos which is what I procrastinate on 😂
