  • Vivekananda Samiti, IIT Kanpur was privileged to organize a very unique 3 days
    Seminar on
    "Vivekananda and Modern Science: Intuition, Innovation and Imagination"
    by two very eminent Indian scientists, Dr. TGK Murthy and Dr. H C Vema, on 10th-12th August, 2013.
    Dr. TGK Murthy, Former Director,ISRO, is a distinguished scientist who has
    been involved in the design of various electro-optical systems which have
    been successfully implemented in several satellites. Some of his research
    papers were adjudged as the best in the world literature. Dr. Murthy
    received six times the NRDC(Govt. of India) awards, WISTEX award, AFCCI,
    FICCI, IETE gold medals for his significant research contributions in
    Optical, Thin Film and Instrumentation areas. He is deeply interested in
    science and philosophy and has written a book: Swami Vivekananda - An
    Intuitive Scientist, being greatly inspired by the scientific thoughts and
    insights of Swamiji. He is keenly interested in reaching out to the
    younger generation by means of Indian spirituality and science.

    Bcoz there were many Indians in the hall.... If there were Hindustani's inside the hall then they would have known how to respond to the oration
