Our Overlord is self-admittedly shit....but if a ship capable of carrying attack aircraft is in a game mode which is supposed to be attack aircraft free.....then....it isn't "whinging"....it's "making a valid point"

I want to sincerely thank you Jingles. For almost 8 years you've been my comfort youtuber as I grew into a young man and one of my favorite youtubers on the site. Your videos have always helped me through tough times and right now I cannot be any more thankful to hear your voice. A few days ago my father passed away from a sudden and massive heart attack and I am in desperate need of comfort. So Jingles, sincerely and from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for just doing what you do. It has been a major help over the last few days.

Best wishes to you fella - my Dad died suddenly about 5 years ago - heart gave out - he was a decent age, but nothing prepares you for a sudden loss. I hope you have friends and family for support. It's tough and a shock, but day by day, try to take it a step at a time. It's fine to let your emotions go, and help relieve the pain.
I'm glad my Dad went quickly, as he'd have been miserable in a severely incapacitated state, but every situation is different, and I don't pretend to know how you are feeling right now. But best wishes to you.
the main reason why the shikishima is different from the mighty yamato when it comes to brawling is because the shikishima has harugumos strapped to its sides, and if you're a person who actually likes having "fun" and go in a division of 3 secondary build shikishimas, you'll win (providing the enemy team are a bunch of asshats who'll get close enough to get killed and there's no subs and carriers with 60% WRs)
Musashi have decent secondaries too , 12 155mm is a cruiser size , for a while I have run secondary mod on Musashi with 19p then 21p Yamamoto and I had large number of secondary kills at the time when i started to use it I had 800 Battles on Musashi I did that build for Ranked and as I was poor in commander xp and db I used that longer that I should , and in 522 battles I had 56 secondary kills so , in 1 on 10 battles I got seconday kill is not so great in compare to German ships , but it work against dd as they dont expect secondary attack from Musashi and there where loot of dd that when relize they got shoot by secondaries that take chunk of their HP , just stayed away , for like 3 years I dont use that build ... but now I am ritch in commander xp ... so yup I going to reset yamamoto for that ranked , worst case I loose 600k commander xp for nothing , but maybe I will have some fun playing wows :)
(edit: I have did secondary build on Musashi ... and suck right now , funny I remember secondaries beeing better , oh tho my only secondary ships that I play are GK , Pommren & schieffen with 21p Lutjens , so yeah all good memories with secondary Musashi are gone for me , I reverted to my previous buils , that experimeny have cost me 420k commander xp and 3.5 mil credits & 25db btw)

Shikishima and Schlieffen are probably the 2 most fun brawlers in high tier. Bismarck and Tirp are close seconds.
Superships are allowed this season. They have a list of ship types AND specific ships that are restricted(St.Vincent isn't allowed, etc,etc.) The hybrid BB planes aren't as useful in Clans as they are in Randoms though. Sure, you can spot the whole enemy, but the flip side is the more you are in your planes, the less DPM you are doing. Less DPM, the longer ships stay alive. We have seen them launch one plane and that's it. If you pressure them with fire, they will HAVE to leave the planes to combat the threat. I am not for them. They are just not as big a threat as they are being made out to be from what my clan have seen in CBs. To quote Jingles, "Your mileage may vary."
It's funny, Riga is also the one ship in Shiki's matchmaking spread with 35mm plating which it can uniquely overmatch over Yamato.
I appreciate the Fat Electrician reference, "warheads on foreheads" is a great line.
Dear Jingles, You would not believe how short the games are in WoT now. Especially on the weekends. The average weekend game is between 3 and 5 minutes long. Most of them seriously towards 3 minutes time. It's Yolo party. In a slow tank, you lose mostly. Working days, the games are just minute or two longer. Sometimes, you get an exceptionally long 10-minute game, but it's an exception that is just confirming the rule.
Secondary spec Shikishima is hilarious. It has 30mm pen on its 100mm guns before equipping IFHE and a 3 second reload.
Sounds like Jingles has been watching the Fat Electrician with that Warheads on Foreheads statement...

I have Musashi , Shikishima and Yamato and all have G-spot = cheek armor issue , but 90% of player base dont know about it , and from 10% that know 90% dont know how to find it ... I Turret is very slow in raked I have removed aiming mod and replaced it with main batter mod as in quick battles is goot to have guns on ship that you want to shoot , I love all 3 ships but biggest issue with Musashi is ASW 5km is just pathetic and need to buffen in my opinion every ship by tier should have equal range of ASW .

Isn't the louisianna now no longer allowed in clan battles? Also from my experience, the regular battleships are much better than these hybrids, purely because you can push in with regular battleships rather than be forced to stay in the back sniping and being a poor man's aircraft carrier, and for some reason, the dive bombers here have even worse accuracy than the regular ones, it really is a slot machine if you're going to get a hit or not.
The Yamato hull has another big weakness: the boat hanger doors (on either side of the hull toward the stern), when the ship is sailing away at an angle or directly, can lead to citadels for the same reason as the front cheek armor.
I brawl in my Yamato and Satsuma and love it. Yes I can get taken down fast, but I've had the Yamato for around 6 years and she's still my favorite BB.

the Napoli is NOT a BC, 10" guns are nowhere near Italian BB guns, unless you count early predreadnoughts but Naploli is a 1930s design, when Italy was looking at 15" guns for BBs, outside of the 2" max limit on caliber limit all the undisputed BCs have with their nearest contemporary BBs,
Also WG did get around to banning the LA, as well as the Ushakov (because Kremlin was banned but super Kremlin wasn't for some reason), and a team can bring one T11, as long as its not Conde or [now] Ushakov,

3X and BONKZ are Hurricane level clans on NA (or at least high typhoon), but in the lower leagues like STORM and below they often are more like clown battles

I play operations more than pvp but I almost routinely take on the Yamato/Musashi in one of the ops in my North Carolina. Found it best to jump them from the flank as it’s going past some islands. Always aim for that cheek. That is of course assuming I’m both alive at that time and the others on the team haven’t lobbed torpedoes at it.

I love Jingles talking about the size of Ship guns, when the biggest guns the UK Royal Navy currently has are like 114 mm (4.5 inch) guns on your destroyers. And yes most all Navies have under gunned their ships and are relying on "Missiles". Except the ONLY Navy that can bring out of mothballs and put into service (if needed) are the US Battleships (NJ, IA, MO) with 16 inch guns AND missiles. 😁
All three are striken from the navy register and have been made into museum ships. Despite your fanboi fantasies they will never fire their main armament or their non existent missiles again and are more likely to be made into razor blades than surface combatants.

If you use the armor to its fullest you can get away with a lot(I use it fairly often)

Never thought I'd hear jingles use the line "warheads on foreheads" but hey what a pleasant surprise.
Don't see many seciondary spec Japanese battleships nowadays. (Other than the Kii that is) Suprised it works that well on a Shikishima!
It has the 30mm pen on the 100mm guns but the accuracy is sub-par.
Play silver ranked, you will regularly see Iwami.
Some people seem to spec Daisen for secondaries, which I don't think is a good investment, but they seem to find it fun.
Shikishima has the best secondaries Japan has to offer, the 100mm Akizuki turrets, and the 155mm Mogami turrets.
My feline overlord was pleased to hear the Lady Akizuki in the first few minutes. Her insights are always pithy and spot on. Your comments were as salty as we have all come to expect, but you're ex-navy, so that's Not a surprise.

11 Carriers jingles? Hmmm, 5 tech tree, 3 premiums (Enterprise, Saipan, Hornet), where do the rest come from? Also theirs the Support carrier line that will EVENTUALLY come out which will reintroduce the other CVs they removed from the game. Yaeh, remember when CVs went from tier 4 to tier 10? I do.

This Happens every season : clans try to find the optimal recipe in ships vs. maps and last night we saw 6 Stalingrad and a kremlin 😖 terrifying but also challenging as we worked together as a team and won the match on points baiting the "grads" out of capture zones and distracting them with juicy DDs and CA's with our Montana catching them exposed or melting them with our Annapolis in cross fires 🔥 the team that works together better wins vs. any ship combination strategy

Hey Jingles, I recently re-watched a video you did on 'Destroyer : The U boat hunter.' I'm curious, it got a massively positive response and hundreds of people pleading for you to do a series on it. Me among them. How come you've not revisited it? Its quiet surprising because you said you loved the game and its right up your alley, serving on destroyers and all. Could you elaborate on the next mingles with jingles please? As I say, I find it bizarre we haven't seen a follow up yet. Best regards

No superships mh zorky and ushankov in the round but yes no SUPERSHIPs....
I'm still not a good player by any means but have been taking less torp hits in my BBs simply by sailing half speed everywhere. Even without rudder shift mod I usally have plent of time to turn when I detect them.

to be fair it was Addi from Bonkz in the LA.
The shiki player didn't play well. He dove into a central cap that, if the other team was competent, would have dumpstered him with torps and crossfire. The majority of his damage came from the Ai gunners and fires set by them. And then he got more by having a paid actor/bot sit broadside to him in a Riga at the end.
In the moment the petro and Vincent together should've been able to defeat me but the Vincent clearly has to be new to the game, the yamato cheek if hit properly would have turned this encounter south, petro had bad rng trying to hit it, ngl I wonder was Riga was even thinking. Sometimes shenanigans reward extremely questionable tactics, thats the best way I'd put it

We had a game last week where we won but lost all ships (enemy killed our last ship 1 second after the timer ran out). Decent game for me 3k base XP but nothing out of the ordinary. Interested in the replay?
For a second the first game scared me because it looked scarily like a game in which an enemy Georgia (who was part of a three-man division) picked up a kraken
I do get a sneaky suspicion that Jingles does not like aircraft carriers because he's always praising them to the hilt of his knife, especially when one of them is on the enemy team.
The front and side armour plate are not connected, there is a gap, that's the vulnerability. Not the flat armour, although it can be over matched.
Boy, Akazuki was certainly quite vocal at the start of this video.
Havent played WoT in over a year reinstalled just to see what it was like, lagged so hard that i gave up and uninstalled after one round

There is something about the way Dabom drives that makes him notorious in my clan. It's almost like there's something different about the way his ship moves such that he gets away with things he shouldn't. That combined with how he baits and times salvos without even looking and this is the result when the average player isn't very good enough at the game to punish him properly
