- A Song from a CD that Tommy Burned off his Computer for me. The Southern Rock All Stars did a version.. But to me this is one of the best Southern Rock Songs ever.. And with Billy Crain playing on this one also makes it all the better Enjoy. :-)
R.I.P.
I love Tommy crane and Charlie daniels
Tommy is one of my all-time favorite guitarists!!
Same here. Love Tommy . Cumberland Mtn.# 9
@@jamesmalamute7874 Charlie Daniels knew how great he was and tried to get him in the spotlight to give credit where credit is due. It's in his book. He said he was as gifted a picker as Duane Allman. Rip Tommy. Gone too soon.
From Saddle Tramp on, Mr. Crain gave us all lessons for free. The man will never know the number of young guitar players that were floored by him and attempted his licks until the album was too scratched and we had to buy another one.
No better player could you find.
Rest in Picking Peace. Gone but never forgotten.
The best second guitar player in any band. Floyd Radford was close playing with Johnny Winter, but Tom Crain was the total package player. Blues, rock, jazz, swing...you got it all from him and sometimes in a single tune.
Yes sir!!
He was lightening in a bottle, His brother Billy Crain carries the torch now.
Somehow this great Southern song ended up om my hard drive some time ago as "Track 18". Finally today I found out who it is.
Excellent photo collage in tribute to TC. This song was recorded by The Whooping Crains with Tommy and Billy, of course, and was never commercially released.
great artist and friend TC!! Bless you and Mel!
You are CORRECT there my friend, freemone233! And what a fine tune it t'is!
