Easy to sound as if he is managing well. He is the one who ignored the established organs of state and gave contracts to his supporters even though they were not qualified for the contracts. Now with a high failure rate and, elections around the corner, he comes out swinging. You guys don’t live in Guyana. If you did you would sing a different tune.
This is the kind of leadership we need we need in trinidad and some other caribbean islands, people who get political appointments and can't do their job, well done mr Irfan ali.
This is one of the most powerful documentaries that I have seen in a long while. First we see the courage of a "politician" to speak the Truth, the Truth without fancy language, and legalese to distort and minimize the picture. We see his caring for the people who suffer under the governments that WE have been left with. I am not Guyanese and I am from the Caribbean. How many can look at this and see our own countries, the ministers, public officers, technical people and contractors and the less than exemplary behavior toward their own people and their own country and their own selves? How many of us have listened with pride when we hear of how hard working our people are when they go a-foreign? And yet, in our own place next to our ancestors, grannies and fathers, mothers, cousins and siblings, we cannot produce the same level of responsibility? Actions, like this one taken by His Excellency President Ali, need to happen regularly everywhere throughout the Caribbean. We need courage, we need leadership, we need wisdom and we need hope. This was the evidence I saw in this presentation. No excuses!! You DO or you DON'T.
I watched it and I am pleased. Let them know that Guyanese voted for you and you hired them. So when they fail, the country don't hold them responsible, the country blame the president. So Bravo Mr President for this master class session in ethics with these employees.
I am well pleased with this. Though it’s not something a president would concern themselves with to this degree, he has taken this on PERSONALLY and I love this.
