    Hiya Marie 😃 ✈️
"Back in America Right back where I belong" 🎶
What you went through with those delays was frustrating & disappointing but no matter what you always prove that having an easy going & tenacious attitude wins through & a extra day in Paris didn't seem so bad , turning lemons into lemonade , some cool pics & a cute 🐈 with a wicker basket that my cats would also really like.
Yay!!! It must have felt great to finally be your way , with some scrumptious truffles 😋 , it looked like you flew over my neck of the woods ,the yellow windows are kinda unusual , it's a colour that's usually avoided maybe they reduce the UV so you don't have to pull down the shutters & they can't afford the adjustable tainted ones. We could have tell you that O'Hare airport would be that hectic it doesn't have the best reputation , why does it have cost so more just to fly directly to St Louis . Anyway it's awesome you experienced another side of the states your unfamiliar with , it's always been known as the gateway to the West going back to the pioneers. I wonder if anything took you by surprise & found any favourite places . Looking forward along with y'all to finding out soon.
Merci beaucoup bon weekend 💗 🖐️✨

The delays is something I’m hearing a lot since 2020, I can’t imagine. I’ve never had a delay but never flew after 2020. Glad you made it through their nonsense. I have been enjoying your Quebec videos. I’m from Texas and in college when I lived up north me and my friends went to Montreal 4 times but Quebec City 0 times 😭 it looks so beautiful.

Sorry about the delays.... I'm a long time aircraft technician (36 years) of United, glad you finally made it . There are many issues today with traveling, too many to address them all but " technical issues" must be addressed for flight safety, frustrating for sure and delays only make it worse and throws everything off. Looking forward to this latest adventure of yours.

As an air traffic controller that guy blaming air traffic control pissed me off by blaming us and saying "it's not the airlines fault" yes it is. We don't dictate when planes want to takeoff and land, the operators do. Do you think I want to drink from a firehose and deal with a ton of planes landing at the same time? No. The airlines make their schedules and they set when they want planes to takeoff and land.
Sometimes we do have to delay a plane's takeoff by a short amount of time but that's only so they can fit in line in the sky, not so they all can just show up at the same airport at the same time.

Hi Marie!!! 🥰🥰 So, you were back in the U.S., but only after the worst trip experience you've ever gone through 😥😥!! I saw that RED Cancelled, and thought oh no! And for technical reasons - boo!!! I liked your little preview of the train, the Westin, traffic, O'Hare (more bad), the yellow Mustang 1981 Coupe Ghia (optional T Top) - fun to see all. 🤗 You had some bread in your hand as you showed us the plane route over the British Isles, lol 😉. You also showed pretty yellow and green fields with planes flying in the background here, wishing you were on one! And, finally, at 8:48 pm that same day, you were recording your thoughts of the "BIG MESS STEP 1!" 😵😵 You had a literal "so bright" start to your hotel room recording, and your first words about the cancellation, followed by a resigned Marie SIGH, made me sad for you and that start 😳😥. I am very glad you were able to get an early Friday morning flight (your message probably was supposed to say instead of Thursday, you would arrive on Friday - such a sad start Marie! And again you needed to book a room, to keep your sweet caring Mom from being too upset and worried about you trying to sleep at CDG! (P.S. I am glad to hear you say "I don't lie to my parents" 😉💕) So, you were then stuck for 2 more nights in Paris. What a huge disappointment and let down after all your excitement had built up, only to fall in front of you 😥😥- I am so sorry that happened to you, Marie 😥. I can understand the pure excitement of returning to the place where you are "very fond of this North American environment" 🥰🥰. I liked that you showed us the barbells , the treadmill, the bicycle machine, and those red boxing bags (😂🤣) - you could have really taken out all your frustrations there, lol, and I assume you did use up some pent up energy ❗Sorry there was no pool, which would have relaxed you. I am so glad you were able to go and see your friend in Paris, first back to CDG, and then the best way on the RER B for 11.45 and a 30-minute trip! 🥰🥰 I truly LOVE that you had a GREAT Thursday (yummy looking cheesecake and other food, and pretty floral light. You even got to see street musicians, and that crazy looking artwork on the street corner, and what was that big woven basket - hmmmm!!? AND, now to Friday the 27th, back to CDG, heading to your gate past Laduree, up the moving sidewalk, past Hermes (Lauduree, Estee Lauder, Clarins, and Lancome?). I really love ❤ the Mustang Magazine you found. When you showed the plane being pushed out to the taxi-way, it was raining (also on your plane's window), and you experienced an hour and a half delay still leaving CDG late. Finally boarding (YAY!!!) United to Chicago and then on to St. Louis. Finally, a "Happy Marie" and a grateful smile (so nice to see after all that) 🥰🥰! What a weird yellow tint on the airplane windows 😲. Your flight above the clouds had some nice views, and you were cruising nicely at 11, 582 m, flying at 878 kph with a 72 kph headwind against you, and an outside temp of -43 degrees C - unreal temperature!!! So, you are heading to your destination as you showed us Chicago, or Chi-Town, from the air next to the lake above that yellow town 🤣🤣, and then you posted "hectic trip was back" 😵😥😳!! What a truly complete mess all those people were, heading through a single door for passport entrance into the country (at least the guy helping was cool), and all this at the busiest airport in the United States ❗That guy said "you may miss your flight", and sure enough, Marie DID MISS her flight AGAIN, in Chicago this time 😵😥😥 ("worst experience ever" you said, and I understand!). Your happy look suddently turned to resignation when you heard that Marie 😥. So you attempted a "Stand By" strategy next (Marie, you are so nicely persistent and hopeful 🥰🥰 - please come with me on my next trip and rub some of that off onto me) 😂! You did show us St. Louis finally from the air, and then your hotel (where you learned that you forgot your tripod). You went through CDG cancellation, then are 1st to check in the next flight, watched a movie before taking off, saw a one-hour thousand people delay at the passport checking station in O'Hare, then the 1.5 hour delay there, and MISSED YOUR FLIGHT again and had to REBOOK a flight (You did a truly cool job of turning the video into back and white every time a terrible part of the BIG MESS popped up and landed on you!! 😉. You then waited an hour to rebook, and found yourself behind Kevyn for the first seat (OH NO!!!)! All those seats were full, and look at that, a person missed the flight and actually allowed Marie onto a flight to St. Louis!!!!!!! I love it that you RAN to that plane Marie ❤🥰 YAY!! That is so nice your friend got you a nice Turkey sandwish and potato puffs when you were picked up and taken to your hotel at 3-4 am France time (almost one full day after you got to CDG - WOW 😲😵😴!!) You are really the epitome of an amazing Trooper and good sport to go through all that complete disaster or two or three, and come out smiling as beautifully and sweetly as ever Marie! 🥰🥰🤗❤ I loved the final FrenchTastic plane flying over the St. Louis Arch! Oh Marie, thank you for a super intriguing tale of woe in this excellent video, and for sharing your disappointment and triumphs. 💕 Now, please have the most wonderful weekend of your traveling life today and tomorrow, and TAKE CARE of my sweet friend, Marie 🥰🥰🥰🥰

My last airplane trip was also chaotic....a passenger became belligerent and the pilot threatened that if he did not settle down, he would fly us not to Phoenix but to Nashville! Because we were late to Phoenix, we had five minutes to race to another gate to get to the next connecting gate across the concourse. Then the next plane had air conditioning issues so we sat on the plane for 45 minutes while it was trying to be fixed. No luck. We had to deplane for a different plane, delaying us even more. Arrival at home was at 3 am...four hours after expected. Nightmare trip also! Love to you, welcome back! ❤

So the windows were yellow because you were flying on a Boeing 787 Dreamliner that has windows that electronically dim. You can use the window setting to choose between I believe 5 options of darkness. Sometimes the flight crew can prevent you from changing the color/dimness as well. On my recent British Airways flight they kept them fully dim the entire flight. IDK if yellow is correct or if that may have just been an issue with the dimming feature in your specific window.

Hmm...I know the feeling. My wife and I and twin sons had a delayed connecting flight to CDG and were repeatedly told we would make our connection. Wrong! We missed our return Air France flight to the U.S. Unfortunately, our luggage did NOT miss the flight. So we spent an August night at an airport hotel room with no air conditioning, and located right next to an active runway, with no change of clothes. We've had better trips.

Chicago is building a new international terminal, but it won't be ready before 2028. Once it's built, there will be direct walkways to Terminals 1 and 3 for United and American after security. But, until then, connecting through Chicago will be a mess. It might have been easier to connect through Toronto, as you can clear US customs in several Canadian cities, but you might need to clear Canadian customs.

That happened to me one August at CDG going to Los Angeles. Air France just booked me into a hotel on the airport property. Got a 1st class seat the next day no additional charge. Always liked Air France.

I wishTWA hadn’t imploded after the 9/11 attacks. St. Louis was its world headquarters, and had direct international flights to many European destinations, including Paris. You’d have had none of those headaches. Glad you experienced my home town.

Flying anywhere in the world is a pain these days. Too many people flying, ticket prices too low, strikes in Europe, not enough air traffic controllers, pilots, etc. With global warming, so many people flying need to re-evaluate how much unnecessary air travel contributes to that problem. Until we have electric airplanes with really long extension cords we need to stop.
