Agreed. All the other races look 10x cooler and as a zerg player, i'm a sad lil boi :(
I'm ShaPowLow It's a true shame, the original primal zerg were all unique designs specific to campaign enemies, which they couldn't use since they differed in design from normal zerg units, therefore being possibly confusing to everyone
but I still thought they had some primal variants of zerg units, I wonder if the hydra is still the same as the campaign design?
yeah i understand that, but like you said, some units can at least be primal like hydralisk, mutas (zerg only has 1 winged air unit, so this won't be confusing), and roaches. I understand we can't use primal ultras (they're totally different).
It's a real shame. :(
The purifiers skins are so beautiful!
This is pretty awesome, we have the option of supporting blizzard while getting some cosmetics, which may not be purely custom but still carry weight non the less, i.e. if you like Miras, fenixs, or dahakas army skins in the coop you now have the option to sport them on the ladder. Very nice additions, loved season 1! Maintain a true source for genuine gaming👍
The only unit that has only some visible relation to its standart skin is the purifier warpprism, all other units are clealy disringuishable from each other.
They also patched the icons to have the standart look

Protoss it is. You can't choose white as your MP color, so this will be a nice substitute.

Probably variants. The collectors ones will likely be renamed.
Nope, they're different. The back piece of the Purifier vs CE Adept are different.
They gave out a Tal'darim Colossus some time ago, which is basically a Wrathwalker (Tal'darim version of the Colossus) and the Forged Colossus on the first warchest (which is again, supposed to be Tal'darim) but still looks different than the first Ta'darim Colossus.
I believe the Colossus CE is the one from the campaign where as Purifier Colossus is based on the Co-op by Fenix
I kinda feel ripped off, one of the main reasons I preordered it is because of the skins...

sadly they retain their orig voices. ive got purifier zealot and adept now. same voice.
Ill only buy this if it funds tournaments like the last one did.
Thats the only reason i bought the last one, otherwise im very much against microtransactions.

I dont mind the fact that you have to pay for it so much... but do you really have to grind out the EXP? If i pay for something then i feel that it is my right to get what i've paid for.
DreaMeRHoLic the point of this chest is to play and get rewards which is much better cuz you don't get bored. You can gain exp for your war chest by playing coop, versus, or vs ai. Also you get a stim pack for coop which doubles the exp you get for a month
I think it's more to offset the discount you'll be getting than actually buying them individually.
Though I agree there shouldn't be an offset at all, hope they experiment.
They should try to make it so every skin is unlockable day 1 rather than trickling it in.

I don't really like skins in StarCraft. But, as long as they don't affect the ladder (e.g. skins that makes units harder to identify), and as long as they support the game to keep it alive, it's not that bad.
I seriously doubt they could ever add a skin that makes a unit hard to identify... Which units look similar enough for that to happen?
I'm more worried about zerg units and their "swarm behavior". Skins with lots of spikes on different units, for example, may affect this a bit (not if you look closely, but in a fast match where every second counts). Still, like i said, if that doesn't happen, i think the skins are ok.

What we really need (and pay for)
A ton of building skins
More console skins (Tal'Darim)
A ton of more coop commanders (maybe even from other eras, so that we could get for example tassadar as coop commander)
3player coop mission, maybe even 4 player coop mission
alex if you did your research you would know that you also get a new console skin for each of the 3 new war chests if you choose to buy them

Honestly makes me wonder what happened to the Primal Roach and Mutas in HotS campaign. Those skins look really nice the way they are imho. It's the same with Leviathan Brood as well, just add in a ton of spikes
On the other hand, half the units aren't carbon copies of each other except at different sizes, so that's an improvement, I guess.
Likely to avoid confusion on the ladder when your opponent tries to identify units. An Primal "Ultralisk" looks nothing like an Swarmborn sort, and it is barely half as durable.

I don't think people will play for skins... unless they change the 3D models much more and still we need something maybe another reward not just experience...

Showcase is missing some things, no Purifier Phoenix or Primal Overseer, less important: no Junker Liberator Morph or Junker Thor Morph or Purifier Mothership Core (removed from MP 4.0). Also there are 2 Primal Roaches and Primal Overlords but I suppose it's likely to be a Primal Igniter and Primal Overlord w/ Ventral Sac, I mean they are using the Creeper Host model for Primal Swarm Host so I guess anything goes.
Purifiers look so good, will probably buy it. (I was tempted to buy the Forged set of season 1 but didn't).
- (And I hope that there will be a season 3... And if there is, I hope we get Nerazim everything :3)
About Terrans... I don't really care much...
And for Zerg... I'm OK? with the Leviathan skins.. I mean, now almost everything has fins XD, but I'm not so sure about Primals... It doesn't looks much different for me comparing it to normal units... It's just that they now have bigger spikes and horns... I will consider it, but I'm not totally sure about buying it.
I hope you´ll add building skins too soon would be even better if them come with these warchest skins. Also an idea for the future: Add in glowing parts on on the edge of armor. For example lemongreen on Zerg Red on Terran and Blue or orange on toss.
We don't need lootboxes in SC2.
there is a MASSIVE difference between a lootbox and this.

Does the money torward this war chest fund anything in particular?
I think all of the war chests are supposed to fund prize pools for tournaments.
25% goes to eSports, the rest to continuing to developing the game.
Parts of the eSports funds goes to smaller tournaments like Totalbiscuits King of the Hill.
