What a joy it is to watch Carlitos play tennis! The kid plays with the audacity to think he’s going to win and it shows in his incredibly intuitive style. At this point I think it’s fair to say he doesn’t ‘play like Federer/Nadal/Djokovic/etc’ - he plays like Alcaraz.

At this point, it's hard to make a top 10 points list for Alcaraz this tournament; he had way more than that. But number 1 truly was the best of the bunch.

He's amazing to see. The style of play, the type of shots he chooses, draw in a real crowd.
I do think he's getting overrated though, i think he has issues with concentration similar to Zverev sometimes just dropping sets/games randomly. Like the second set in the final his intensity was suddenly gone.
Also it is not like he won the tournament convincingly like Nadal did his first Roland Garros. Sinner massively choked and basically had him beat. The flair of his style makes him get overrated i think while players like Sinner, Medvedev and Zverev are comparable level i think. Djokovic and Nadal on gravel are still a class above.
But it's nice to see a new number 1 even though it's tainted by the absence of Djokovic and Wimbledon not counting this year.

Yes he gets his feet ready and recovers his footwork so quickly. Bounces around the court on his feet. Seems very efficient movement? Though he plays over-long points but being young that is not a problem.
Impressive control and range of shots (drop, lob, push shot, placement shot).

Pure talent, no matter the amount of trophy's but it's a joy to watch him play, like Federer. Other can get more titles but there are many factors like competency when you are at your highest point, the number of trophy's don't make the best player. If Alcaraz goes on like this, he will be one of the best together with Sinner.

Roger's retirement, though completely understandable, has made me sad. Alcaraz gives me hope. There is a Federer-like finesse to his game. Also, he hasn't nearly reached his top level yet. It would sure be nice to have another Baryshnikov carry the torch!

@@selcukcilek555 your grandsons would tell that much more guys can achieve 5-6 WINBLEDON AO …it’s possible
Less people who can achieve all slams in a year
Much less two years in a row
BUT one guy with 14 SAME GRAND SLAM it would be a record that probably in 2320 will scored or in 2800
      Who knows….
      After this point
      Federer is tennis 100%
Nadal NOW is the 23 GSLAM guy but will be always the 14 RGarros
      No clock for that
Djokovic is the best competitor, the talent with bodyshape and strong, poblaby we will see him matching Nadals and surpassing…but need to be written yet
14 ROLAND GARROS is the stronger statement to be considered also in 2350 or in 2765
For sure having special consideration that all 14 RG were achieved in Mr Federer and Mr Djokovic era.
