Best thing those slimy Tories ever introduced was the benefit cap on more than 2 children. Why should having children you cannot support be incentivised?
Unfortunately we now live in a country where at one point people could afford more kids, but now there is no such thing as a job for life. Everyone's circumstances have changed
Having children is a lifestyle choice. Why should anyone be paid anything , at all, for doing something that they decided to do as a lifestyle choice? For those who have no self control - contraceptives are available.
They chose to ha e more than 2 kids. Why should tax payers with no kids subsidise them. That is not fair or right. If they want lots of kids then they should pay for them. This country is too soft on scroungers.

While it is true that the cost of child benefit would be hed by the state, it would be much much MUCH more expensive for us to lose potentially happy, well adjusted members of the workforce to mental health issues or possible criminality. Around 30% of our prison capacity is people under the age of 30 - people who were either born into or who were affect by the austerity cuts of the last 14 years at an early age. It costs the tax payer £40,000 a year to house a prison Inmate, that is in addition to the loss of a tax paying worker. I would argue that paying for child benefits and childrens services (like the 1300 Sure Start centres that were closed from 2010) is an investment by the public purse that saves the taxpayer money in the long run and leads to and overall happer society. Then Tories austerity programme was imposed and we all know were we stand economically. When we spend for the benefit of our nationals and humanity we prosper, when we spend billions on unnecessary wars around the World for our egoism and supremacy we as a nation go into decline as the money spent on Wars lines pocket of arms Manufacturing corporations, lobbies, Bankers and corupt politicians. Money spent on alleviating poverty goes back into national economy and stays in Country creating more jobs too. The choice is clear for everyone to see, but for the centre to right Tories guised as Labour party.

Besides, with over 8 billion people in the world and counting the last thing any government should be doing is encouraging people to have more children. There is a very good case for getting rid of child benefit altogether.
@@matthewphoenix6372You paying for it? If you have kids you shouldn't rely on the state, it's you're responsibly not taxpayers.

It's like saying , have another child and we will pay for it .
With £16 per week?, seriously?
same to Migration,Also like saying we leave the gates wide open and pay for more migrants Thats higher costs now days for tax payers,Never go on about them do you
This is typical Labour without a braincell between them all.
Why should we pay for others to have children. It's bad enough for those of us without children having to support other people's personal choice for two children let alone more
Best thing those slimy Tories ever introduced was the benefit cap on more than 2 children. Why should having children you cannot support be incentivised?
This would be very helpful and beneficial for people with 4 wives and 20 children ! And their faith doesn’t allow to use contraceptives!
Unfortunately we now live in a country where at one point people could afford more kids, but now there is no such thing as a job for life. Everyone's circumstances have changed
Why should children be punished for decisions they did not make?
Lots of uk family's don't breed like some people that are like rabbits
Having children is a lifestyle choice.
Why should anyone be paid anything , at all, for doing something that they decided to do as a lifestyle choice?

They chose to ha e more than 2 kids. Why should tax payers with no kids subsidise them. That is not fair or right. If they want lots of kids then they should pay for them. This country is too soft on scroungers.
scrap all benefits for anyone who hasn't paid into the system for min 10yrs
@@idaknowman180 10 would be better.
😂 thank God you're not an mp. I suppose those with disabilities will have to just figure it out.
I've been a carer for my mum since the age of 10, so I couldn't work, what should I do...
So you're saying, you don't mind if 54.2% of our country fails to eat, and dies, because they have to work for 10 years before they can receive help?
Your opinion is flawed, I don't know why you want disabled people to starve and die, or babies/children with health problems. (they won't be able to work for 10yrs before applying for help so they will perish under your rule)
Maybe move out of England? You clearly haven't paid into the system for 10yrs with that logic.
The Migrants never paid nothing in the system have they ???
They need to sort out social services 🙄
_They+ need to sort out society.
Since Thatcher said that there is No Such Thing As Society, why would we need such services?
No! I'd go further and say that it should only be available to parents born in Britain.
Seriously? What about the rest that work here and pay their taxes?
what about those 12 year olds, who become mothers, by diverisity, religion and fathers have never paid a penny into the country?
Why should I pay to be replaced.. ?
Only for those in work, genuinely seeking work, or unable to work. I resent supporting the children of those who don’t fall into one of those categories
REMOVE IT ALL. STOP PAYING FOR PEOPLE TO HAVE KIDS.
Naturally, Labour don't wish to be seen punching down upon their core voting base.
Yes it’s stran its isn’t it? They only won 1/3 of the vote and they are spitting in the faces of their base. Doesn’t seem like a good strategy 😂
No why should working people pay for other people’s kids if you can’t afford them don’t have them.
well we can easly afford to have Migrants in every day,Do you want to pay for migrants ???
Im a single mum working full time with one child i barely get by i wouldnt dream of having another child. What about offering more support to working parents? What about making work pay?
Having a two income household can assist with supporting children, as two incomes coming into the one household to pay bills, would be higher than one.
Cant afford to raise them, dont have them. Learn to be responsible for your own actions and choices.... No to scrapping it
I don't know many working people who can even afford one child let alone more than two.
I no people who have 8 kids. Should I pay for them.

How about having multiple wives? Can we scrap that too?

Parents need to be paying for their own kids, this government needs shutting down
Its true dough. The country needs to be able to do it. Ppl shouldn't just b popping out children
lol it will only help a certain breed of people. If you decide to have 10...15....20 kids then YOU effing pay for them!!!!!!!!! 2 kids child benefit support is more than generous, the other 18 kids youve got either try keeping your legs closed, contraception, or pay for them YOURSELF!!!!!!!!
What about the parents responsibility, how is it the payer responsibilitiy
This would be very helpful and beneficial for people with 4 wives and 20 children ! And their faith doesn’t allow to use contraceptives!
It is thoroughly irresponsible to have more children than you can afford and expect others to pay for them. The two child benefit should be retained.
It would be so much better for the country if they helped parents with childcare costs than to remove the cap on child benefits.

Fair enough really

Reform need to do a census when they get in to find out which families have left the country and still claiming benefits while living a luxury life abroad in their own countries?

It will not fair for working couple with one or to kids don’t get child benefit because of their earnings. People with few kids gets everything without paying any taxes
No it is not time to scrap this cap, their needs to be deterrents
Should stop child benefit altogether, if you can't afford to support your own children then don't have them and expect the taxpayer to pay for them.
Should get tougher on pensioners.. the biggest drain on the tax payer going. Why should I pay tax for winter fuel allowances, free TV licenses and bus passes when most are sat on £500k of assets and raking in more a month with half the outgoings?
Because they have paid taxes for 50 years working hard saving for their pensions.
@user-co2xf1su2l so you are saying that despite being wealthy, if you pay into the system, you should milk it, but if you pay into the system and struggle, then you should not receive anything.. well, that's a very interesting take... 🤔
If you can't afford to bring up YOUR kids without state handouts, then don't have them.
Edit: 1300 not 13000
I don't remember being paid not to be a criminal 😅 have I missed out somewhere ?
@@lawrenceholden5716 What you missed was that a just society should give it's children the best oppourtunities it can and it is in it's own interests to do so. If you want to characterize that as 'being paid to not be a criminal'...well you are free to be wrong.
All we ever hear about is a housing crisis and climate issues, so in what way does encouraging people to have more children help this?

You would not have any money if you didn't have access to the systems and society that tax revenue pays for.
No, if you choose to have more than 2 children, you support them. Why should other hard-working people's taxes be used because you want more children.
There should be no child benefit. If you can’t afford to feed your offspring then don’t have them.
What about scrapping the no help for a single man/woman benefit cap. oh wait.... We only socially engineer and reward people who get married and have kids.
Totally agree with that and it even extends to after death, check out the IHT rules, about double can be passed to dependents than what a single person can leave to loved ones of their choosing. We're the most discriminated against section of society.
Just look at her mouth. You can tell that she is lying.
If you can't afford to have more than two kids, don't have more than two kids. Stabilising population (keeping to two children or less) will solve most of the worlds issues right now.
Societal problems arise when political dictators start dabbling with law of nature. We have an example of disastrous Chinese one child policy. Law of nature is designed as means follow the need and not the other way round. NHS was created right after the war when we had no means to sustain it but, need was created so people got thier heads together, economy improved and Britain became envy of the world.

So if do not want a civil society - don't pay taxes and let everything fall apart.
Funny, the black guy argues the government is responsible to find solutions how to fund the children born out of cap. What about parents responsibility. Sorry, I know I am not able to have more than 2 children, so I did everything to prevent it.
My aunt and uncle got caught 87k benefit fraud around 2006 didnt have to pay a penny back my aunt was claiming to be single with 7 kids claiming mulitple dads when she was married with 7 kids to 1 guy the same aunt ended up on the jeremy kyle show in 2014 but i still dont understand why they didnt have to pay a penny tho they literally got a slap on the wrist and a dont do it again
And didn't go to prison?
I think if you have 2+ children you were supporting and something unexpected happens like you lose your job then yes. If you already have 2 children you claim for and can't afford then choose to have more then no. Only citizens with children in the country should be able to apply in the first place.

Benifits should be capped at 2 children. Dont have more kids if you can't afford to support them.
I used to think this. I now think the whole benefit should be scrapped.
Imported families should get nothing. The cap must remain to deter breeding machines. It is the parents responsibility to look after THEIR children - not mine as a tax payer. Can't afford to look after them, then don't have them. It is the parents putting them into poverty - not the state.
How can your policies be fully costed if you're still consulting with experts to figure out what you're going to do?
Definitely No leave the cap in place but would not surprise me they decide to remove the limit eventually and take money from the genuinely sick and disabled people
