One of the things i love about classic cars/trucks is the simplicity. Look at the motor, for example. No wires and clutter of what you will find under the hood of a newer model. It's just a motor, thats it. And thats just fine with me!
Awesome truck. You won't win any races but one hell of a cool ride. Love the engine too. I'm guessing parts may not be too easy to get but chances are no one else at your local will have the same setup.
I had a 66 GMC 8 foot fleetside, had the same drivetrain. The column shift hung up too many times and put in a Hurst Master shifter on the floor, so much better.
1 st of all you need double clutch this pick up, old stile, hit the gas pedal and rive up the r's and then shift in be twine shits and you will see the old ways of life. Love you bro and things will come to you in sure time.
Near mint 66 GMC Stepside would change that little 305 powerplant replace with a 355 or 427 GM crate motor be tough choice between 66 GMC & 67 D100 Gasser truck .
A 3 speed. My ex bought a 87 Chevy truck had 3 on tree. But I'd already drove a Chevy truck with 3 on tree. So no biggie for me. My step dad had a 66 Chevy truck that had 3 on tree. He insisted I drive it,seeing as I had drove standards in eastern Tennessee at 17. Living in Ohio since fall of 82, and 61 yrs old- still drive standards. Except it's not so sweet. A 2010 Kia soul 5 speed. The GMC is tougher looking.
Nice truck my father had a yellow truck and he use to bring everyone to school on the yellow truck great memories 👍with a truck like that we never used first because is not loaded with cargo , so we use second guear for everything unless is loaded so second is the norm for this truck 👍
between 10 to 15k all day but great video as always. Big block v6 gas drinker all day. It would take another 10k for motor/transmission plus rear end to make this a great truck and move that gas tank.
I would love to have that truck. I wish I was in the market to buy. The price is good I would have to change that transmission to automatic. & Add air conditioning.
Id love to take a magnet around the lower sides of this truck they always have bondo in them but a complete V-6 stepside GMC truck where you gonna find that?
There’s nothing wrong with that column gearshift that guy can’t drive it that’s what I learned on, and I didn’t drive it like that my grandfather would’ve kill me

That's a great engine. GMC used that motor in the bigger farm trucks too. Plenty of power in a loaded truck. That's a great pickup
Oh yes, the 305 Big block V6. GMC also made a 12 cyl .version of this engine . Basically two of these put together.
The v12 was a single block with 4 cylinder heads, 2 intakes, 2 carbs, and a bizarre distributor
12 cyl. My ass they never made a 12 cyl. For these trucks and a 305 is a small block v8
@@catfish24but there really is a 305 v6 lol
I had one of those 305 V6 motors in my old 67 GMC and that motor was a good strong running runner 👍
As always thank you Nick for showing these cars I really appreciate it from you
Glad you like them! Thank you

Love the wood bed and look how clean that engine bay is!!! Holy crap!!
Best sounding v6 I ever heard.
Cool so im not the only one who knows abot the 305 v6 lol thanks

The V6 was popular with GMC it made for an economical little low rpm work horse.
Today an LS5 and 4l60 hell yeah
Beautiful truck, plus that legendary
V-6 engine. Nice! 👍😎

Bushings on the shift rods get worn very comin you will get use to it. They were farm trucks not made for the drag strip. Very nice little truck
Nice truck. Simple as they come. A truck the average joe can still work on in the garage.
5:37 I thought he was gonna say the kick down wasn’t hooked up 😂😂

The shape of these valve covers remind of 348-409 Chevy valve covers.
Cool C10 👍👍👍👍
Big block 305 V6. Powerhouse motor. Best gas mileage is 8-10 MPG. Also 700+ pounds
Try 850#. Very heavy engine.
@Thomas Thurston hmm, I cruise at 75+ with my 305v6, but I have an overdrive behind mine.
This truck is well in side of the raft of money. So lets go there. Nice truck, so lets go there. Old Master Gunnery SGT USMC.
Super rare truck . Maple Motors 👍
My 305e has been nothing but reliable for the 8 years I've owned it.

Sweet lil unit..
Good Stuffs

You have to dubble cluch those old 3 speeds. give the sincros time to catch up most all are like that
love it
Yo that intro audio sounded amazing with the left and right fading in and out..
Thank you
That three speed on the column would have to go lol. But other than that i love everything about the truck. Would eventually need a/c though.
3 on the tree haven't heard that in many moons.
Yeah we had one of those old trucks Dad used it to haul firewood it was a mule you couldn't slow it down with weight she was a workhorse
Love that truck awesome 👌
Thanks 👍
THE 292 IN -LINE 6 WAS A GOOD PULLER AT ALMOST 300 C.I. , SOME HAD THE 283 , 327 ‘S !!!! LIKE A EOCK & BUILT TOUGH !!!!

Big block v6 sounds sweet 👌
It's got armstrong steering.
👍🔥😎🔥👍
I love it. I don't think that rear bumper is correct though.
Nice ride there Nick!
Yep, I agree Bryan!
Thanks!
I would love to see testimony of buyers from you
I thought about doing that , we do have reviews everywhere online.
Are you doing a test drive on the black custom Mustang if so ❤to see thanks
20K?? I'm sure someone will go that far for it...
Year old video, today this truck would be 22grand.
Needs a 4speed with a compound grear
Title says Chevrolet C10 instead of GMC 1000 series
I had a Malibu that had a 305 V8
Drop spindles on this truck?
More pickup truck videos
Nick - I want to hear you cover "Through Glass" by Stone Sour. I think it would be great!
These dam commercials I would not buy a dam thing they advertised on here.
Is this still available?
This would sell like HOT CAKES down here in Texas!!
Needs a V8 swap
Chevy?
Ford

I know those V-6 are rare, but that truck is screaming for an LS swap & relocated tank.
You may want to retitle the video. It's not a Chevy
