Only when it had already lost, And at that point there's no battle, So no Icon xD "It WOULD have been awesome to see the Icon on the HP Bar break apart and show Girlfriend's Icon un-corrupted in real time though, I kind of hope PhantomFear remakes this in the future at some point and does that, That would be really cool!"
Now that the pico week has been released, pico also has no loosing icon so, ur point might be debunked. And they might be added later on when the mod is actually released.
What we see here basically confirms that Day 2 was Corrupted GF’s last chance at winning. From the overall extremely hopeful motif of the song, BF just being able to completely pop off in some parts of the song with the corruption offering little to no resistance, to the fact that the hallucination that the corruption conjured at 1:06 barely lasted 10 seconds and only succeeded in mildly phasing BF, this entire song is essentially the showcase of the complete defeat of GF’s corruption. The real battle ended the second BF broke out of the corruptions hallucination on Day 2.
Yeah. And now that BF has GF back, he's gonna go to the ends of the earth to protect her. You really get the feeling here that Pico may have some surprises, but we know he's not going to stand too much chance. Corrupted Girlfriend was the only person who could defeat BF and now that she's free, BF basically has won this as long as he doesn't do something stupid.
BF and GF reconciling and cuddling has go be the most wholesome thing ever. Besides, its a clever nod to the Week 7 Stress cutscene where GF falls on BF.
The corruption had one last ditch effort to try and trick BF into giving up (Around 1:07), but now that Soul gave him the determination to go on, he persevered and broke through the corruption. Excited to see what's next with Pico now that GF is on BF's side! Maybe the corruption will focus more on killing BF (since Pico is STRAPPED) than trying to make him give up, since it didn't work with GF.

I personally think Day 2 was the corruptions last-ditch effort, this song is basically akin to the corruption desperately clawing at the edge of a cliff whilst falling off.
I’m surprised nobody is talking about the fact that gf is just staring directly at you instead of bf throughout the whole fight like it’s some personal battle between us and her.
It's because she's failing, and it's your fault. If you miss as Corrupted Boyfriend, he reaches his hand out and stares towards the screen. Because you are making him fail his mission. And in this song, you're making Corrupted Girlfriend fail her mission by not losing, so she stares at you.
It's been said before but I feel the need to say it again. At this point, Corruption has evolved from a mere Mod Game to a full-on AU Movie. It's amazing how far they've come and how much effort Phantom and the others put into what was initially meant to be a rhythm game. This is definitely one of the best FNF Mods out there. And I can't wait for the next episode.
The corruption stares at the player the entire time during the song showing that it could actually know about the player. If this is true then the sentence “you will regret this betrayal” takes on a different light
Ok important detail to note: the corruption only needs the entire head of a host to claim it however the control the corruption has over said host increases with surface area coverage (this is true for all functions of the host regardless of where exactly there is corruption on them)
yeah that makes sense as the corruption takes over from the brain the rest of a victims body can be uncorrupted but as long as the head of the victim is corrupted it still has power although probably not as much

Honestly, It's really hard to think that just a skin for bf and gf that wasn't even a song or a character, being almost as old as Whitty has been evolving since day 1 to turn into this masterpiece. Seeing the development of this project makes all the wait and the effort of the developers worth it. Amazing work as always!

4:48 I love this part, I feel like too many people forget Pico’s gun is a Mac-10, a Submachine, so many mods portray Pico taking only a few shots instead of a full mag-dump, what also adds to this is that Pico has 2 shown here, and Phantom made sure to perfectly make that work, god you put so much faith into your work, can’t wait for the next chapter. Edit: I know i’m late as hell, but better sooner than later for someone to actually point that out.
You're right man, I honestly forget about that at times lmao, But I suppose outside of spamming you wouldn't be able to dodge a legitimate Machine Gun's worth of Notes flying at you lol, Literally like 20-30 Notes per second y'know? Heck probably even faster then that :P So yeah, They had to make his shots more "1-per" if they ever wanted it to fit in with a Mechanic xD But Phantom Fear is DEFINITELY the most faithful Modder that's for sure!
This week is amazing. BF adapting to the corruption's tricks and pressure over time and the whole thing feeling like the finale, before it pulls the rug under your feet with a "congratulations, BF! You got one. Now get this one!"
It's incredible how far this mod has come since it's inception. Absolutely fantastic work, Phantom Fear. Been following since day 1, can't wait for the mod release.
Can we talk how the composers, the animators and the writers absolutely KILLED it?! Absolute kudos to everyone working so hard for this mindblowing mod ✨
Theory Time: BF was one of the first to get corrupted in this, most likely due to the corruption of GF and the corruption itself. However, it was probably a situation where the corruption knew that BF was very strong, resorting to keeping him comatose in his own body and feeling hopeless so they couldn’t fight. Then, when Soul BF woke them up, BF was still vulnerable in his own mind and the corruption tried to break his spirits again to keep thing under control. It evidently didn’t work, as Soul BF broke them out and gave (and is still giving) him the determination to move forward. Now, with this fight against Corrupt GF, the corruption is getting frustrated and desperate as they resort to illusions and manipulation to try and break him again in the first and second song. It nearly succeeded in the second, but Soul came in for the save. I think during the second song and after this third- and this is my theory- the corruption has realized that controlling BF is no longer an option. Now that he has saved one person, he knows it’s possible to save the rest, guaranteeing that they won’t be hopeless again. So, the corruption has now settled on just killing BF and GF and saving itself the trouble. And who better to do that than the one corrupted WITH A GUN 😂.
I mean it's hinted at pretty strongly that Boyfriend was just a by-product of Girlfriend being Corrupted, He's the second ever person to become Corrupted, And he had a special bond with Girlfriend herself, So as a "Pair" Evil Boyfriend and Evil Girlfriend were basically invincible. It had nothing to do with Boyfriend being strong or anything like that. After-all remember that Pico un-corrupted Boyfriend a bit in his Week. So Evil Boyfriend himself isn't anything TOO special. It was mainly his bond with Evil Girlfriend that made him so powerful. "Mind you, He ALSO needed to use the Spooky Kids, Pico, And Mommy Mearest in order to beat Daddy Dearest, Evil Boyfriend is a conniving coward lmao"
Corruption is the only part of the fnf community that I still keep watch on. The songs here have proven they aren’t afraid to be bangers, and there’s some semblance of an actual story that isn’t in many other mods that I’ve seen.

If the Corruption wasn't in trouble before, it definitely is now. Boyfriend and Girlfriend give each other the support they need to take on anything, and now that they are both free again they are basically unstoppable, or at least uncorruptable for as long as they are together. This mod has been absolutely stellar so far and I know that it will continue to be so. Great job!
pretty sure that was the plan for why GF was sent after him first... she's his greatest strength... but also his biggest weakness. unfortunately, that strength was underestimated
Pico is probably the only other Corrupted even remotely strong enough to stand up to Boyfriend honestly, He's got "MC" Powers in the same way Boyfriend does, And he was in the original set of Corrupted people in the Story, If Boyfriend was the Vanguard of the Corruption, Then Pico is like a Knight or something. Remember that we DO get too play as him to Corrupt Mommy Mearest, Earlier in the Mod, He's a "Playable Character" to the Corruption, That means something in my eyes.
@@Joshuamiller19570 this might be extremely wrong, but I feel like evil daddy dearest might be more than strong enough to take bf on. Reason being, I feel like the uncorruption weeks might play out as a reverse to the corruption weeks. Using evil gf vs bf as an example, it plays out similar to evil bf vs pico. Day one is kinda even, day two the opponent starts winning( bf being partially uncorrupted, and bf almost giving up) and then boyfriend recovers and the day three is a extremely one-sided fight for boyfriend. Also, this uncorruption pico week will be the reverse of the corruption one, instead of evil bf and evil gf vs pico, it's bf and gf vs evil pico.
@@Alivekuso The only reason I think Daddy Dearest is gonna be on the easier side of things, Is because he's the only one who has the ability to Reverse Corruption "Which is different even then how Boyfriend does it right now" DD's power is temporary while Boyfriend's is full-on cleansing. That if Boyfriend even knocks a SLIVER of the Corruption off of Daddy Dearest, DD will take care of the rest himself, It's not going to be a hard fight like Evil Girlfriend was, And definitely won't be as hard as Pico who has a freaking Gun lmao I think he is going to be paired up with his Wife though that's for sure, In the same way Evil Girlfriend and Evil Boyfriend were paired up, That may make it harder to beat them, But I still think DD can save himself if Boyfriend even helps him just a little. The order is basically going to be backwards now though, I think you're right about that, Girlfriend first, Then Pico, Then the Spooky Kids, Then Mommy Mearest, And then finally Daddy Dearest.
@@Joshuamiller19570 yeah that makes sense, though I think it would take more than a little uncorruption for dd to have enough control to use his power. I was thinking that evil dd might have inherited that reverse the corruption power for himself to make it harder to uncorrupt him instead, because there's some mystery to what he's capable of since he's the only evil character we haven't seen yet, and if he's going to be the final boss of the corruption like how dd was the final boss to the corruption, a reverse deathmatch would be a possible way to do that, though the corruption dev team will probably take a different approach since that's really predictable.
And just like how it started we're back to the main man Pico, it's interesting to think about how all of this is circling right back to where the corruption was first spread. That ending with BF and GF holding each other was sweet. Let's hope they're able to save Pico too!
I think I have an idea for what might happen with Mommy Mearest and Daddy Dearest I think that they might show up in the Mall where the Corruption started with then teaming up like in week 5 with Lemon Demon showing up after Mommy Mearest and Daddy Dearest get saved starting the Battle Against Lemon Demon.
1. The way Gf hangs there and sways is creepy af 2. This song goes harder than it has any right to (and I love that) 3. Can we just talk about Bf's reflexes for a moment? Also, it really seems like those first three shots went a little too wide, which I like to think means Pico is still somewhere in there also fighting, but just having a worse time of it.
It is possible. We actually don't know if anyone is able to keep fighting after being taken over. Even BF required Soul to wake him up, and it didn't seem like GF was really conscious during her corrupted time. You can tell she was probably unconscious until being freed (you can see that she's still really groggy as Pico is attacking them, almost like she was forced awake from a nap). But Pico (at least in most of the Corruption mods) has been shown to be one of the stronger people in the FNF universe when it comes to fighting the corruption. I know the other mods aren't really canon to this one, but Pico put up much more resistance. Pico and MM were the ones that didn't really break before they were fully corrupted, nor show much fear at all during their battles. We saw DD sorta break down the moment he see Corrupted MM and never really recovered, and Skid was in tears after Pump got corrupted. Now that BF and GF are free, Pico may be the strongest person the corruption has right now to take on BF.
@@Hei_Darkfire also bf only needs to uncorrupt DD just enough for him to regain consciousness, then DD can uncorrupt fully, provided MM is uncorrupted first.
Oh my god... This one hit me right in the feels. I can't believe how powerful you can tell a story through the rap battles alone. But it's not often someone comes along with that kind of storywriting talent. In this mod, the story is always in the battle, while the cutscenes are just to add context here and there. This mod is a great example of what people should aspire when making games. Telling a story without needing an endless amount of words to explain it. Not many people could make a game that has the gameplay giving the story, rather than the cutscenes. But you have mastered the art beautifully.
He's just being VERY true to the source material, Fnf told it's Story through Rap Battles as well, It's just that it's a Demo, So we won't see the amazing stuff the game has too offer until the Full-Ass Game releases. PhantomFear has basically just slowly been making his own Full-Ass Game overtime, And I respect him IMMENSELY for that o/
@@Joshuamiller19570 There was very little story in the original FNF. It was just pretty much rap battle DDR with a menu to choose songs. That was pretty much it. But I get what you're saying though. And yeah, Phantomfear did a great job with the game. I'm personally surprised he's still working on it. Usually with projects this big, they almost never get this much done before abandoning it.

It's only become so Lore-driven by having nearly twice as many Songs as the Demo, It's taken over a year for it to become as amazing as it has. Even for Daddy Dearest's section "When the Mod really hit it's peak and started becoming amazing" That took a LONG TIME to run it's course. I view the Corruption Mod as the best Mod out there because of just how similar it is to the Original in this slow-making aspect, It being faithful to Fnf Characters, And having banger Music and Story-driven stuff is just a bonus imo. It's got the "Soul" that the Original Friday Night Funkin' has, I've personally never seen any Mod come as close as this one has when it comes to that, It's truly amazing.
My theory is right. The corruption preserves the head/brain for last because it basically controls the entire body. Well, basically because the other parts also contribute to the body, and when the body is de-corrupted, the brain starts running haywire (in the corruption's perspective) but not entirely because the brain is the big control centre.

I know this comment can get dismissed by anyone but I just wanted to say that it’s impressive to see how much the mod developed into something way bigger than anyone could have thought going from just a simple reskin mod, to the first two and a half week having remixes(The Skid and Pump weeks has Chiller and the Mommy Mearest week has original songs) , to the beautiful Senpai and Daddy Dearest weeks to finally coming to the incredible Soul BF and Evil Gf weeks, this will always be my favorite FNF mod and it makes me excited for anything that PhantomFear and his amazing team will release, they all deserve a huge ovation for the all the time and effort they’ve done on it.
I swear that pico scene was more clean than a new toy outta the box, i been here for the corruption mod since day 1 but this just brings my soul to power.
1 year ago this was a small project with reskins of the Friday night funkin characters but now it’s turned into a full on movie. I’m so impressed on how much can be done within a year the music have changed to from remixes to its own songs.cant wait to play this if it comes out
This is probably the greatest ongoing mod series i've ever seen for fnf. and it started with just a simple reskin from week 5, then somehow expanded into a whole overarching story, of which i've never seen before.
I love how it looks like bf has adapted to and grown resistant to the corruption’s tricks. Bf is only shooken up by the darkness section and it only lasts around ten seconds. But I’m honestly not quite sure if bf can get out of a fight with Corrupted Pico without getting some corruption on him. After all, it was stated he was the most out of control. Maybe Pico has some tricks that the others don’t?
I hope they don't screw it up, because I want to see some mechanics. Although perhaps and this mod wants to be faithful to the original game without mechanics.
That part where GF breaks the Corruption and falls into BF's arms is the cutest, most precious thing ever. I hope she has a singing part in the final battle against Pico.
something that nobody has pointed out is... boyfriend hasn't been corrupted at ALL during this week, I'm starting to think he's grown some sort of immunity to the corruption?
This is one of those mods unique to the game that actually has a story of its own to tell. A lot of mods have been releasing in updated versions of themselves, usually going off on their own as spin of some other material with ensemble guests thrown into the mix. This is one of disease and despair, but offers some degree of hope after initial misfortunes and setbacks. A sense of triumph. A sense of overcoming it after being given the mental rigamarole. But, viruses tend to put up a fight. Granted they don't have devilish origins in reality, though the emotionless cruelty is enough reason to keep fighting. It's a matter of resolve in the end.
Okay WOW. This did NOT disappoint. I absolutely love these kind of mods that have a genuine story going on and tell it during the song and have reactions, so to speak. It's just an extra level of geniune feeling to it. To those that say they're unstoppable. I wouldn't bet on it, it's only going to get harder as it refortifies itself within each of the remaining victims it not spreading out so thin maybe? not sure how it worse, but regardless, it hasn't been cornered yet and that's when it is at its most dangerous.
honestly the fact this went from a simple reskin to an entire AU with it's own storyline and cutscenes with tracks that absolutely slap every single time is astounding, this will be the greatest FNF mod in history when it releases
I can’t believe we made it this far into this legendary mod. I remember being in high school when this mod started. Now I’m in university seeing how much potential it has grown into! Can’t wait to see the next one! Keep up the good work phantom!
Here's my two cents. The Uncorruption week should work akin to the DD bossfight in reverse. 1v1s with very difficult fights, different styles, and each introducing a mechanic which- at first is lightly intorduced but scales with each day till the 4th song where it's the source versus BF and the whole uncorrupted group. Or, one song per uncorruption to prevent filler and making this drag on forever.
That's actually a great ideia, not only pacing up the mod, but also making the gf uncorruption week seem all the way more epic, because she IS one of the reasons this exists after-all then a full week against monster, to finally end this

The mod seems to be almost over, can't wait to see it completed. I can see why this is taking, a year or two to make, there is so much detail in this mod. I'm not sure we can call this a mod anymore, it's almost like a full game now.
It has at least 3 more Weeks left imo, Next one is Pico, The one after that is Spooky Kids, Mommy Mearest, And Daddy Dearest "In that order" And the 3rd one will be against Lemon Monster. "Although that last one is just who I WANT the final Boss to be lmao, It could be someone or something else, It just feels like Lemon Monster would be the best final Opponent imo"

This guy (and his team I doubt he makes this alone) managed to go from a skin and remix mod, to full blown originak songs, graphics, story, everything! While it may take a while for vids to come out in my opinion the wait is worth it.
It's honestly amazing how something starting from a simple skin almost as old as the Whitty mod grew into one of the most epic mods ever among the FNF community. I've been here since day 1 to witness it all, and i can say i'm amazed by how far Phantom Fear has come. Keep up the good work, SUPER excited for the next episode!
It's time! The moment we've been waiting for is HERE! The final battle with Evil GF. If i may I going to list my observations and predictions on what will happen. First, going from the thumbnail she has a visibly angry expression and that is most likely from her getting mad that BF still hasn't submitted back into the Corruption's will after Day 2. As a result she is going to try her hardest this time. Coupled with how the end of day 2 saw her getting into what looked like a harness with six wings around it. If GF didn't look scary enough it's going to look like BF is fighting an all powerful demon in this final day! Let's hope BF has the resolve to withstand and conquer this battle! Now the song teaser: the bit we got to hear sounds similar to that first break period during the song Allure. You know where the spider like legs show up? I do have to wonder if they will factor into this final act. But i can say if this bit is from the beginning instrumental again, then this is gonna go HARD right from the get go! This was honestly suprising, at first I was shocked by cgfs design, and the amount of effort that was put into her animations, but the voice lines were godly, especially when she said: "It's corruptin' time!" As for bf, I was shocked by his 200 new voice lines and sprites, especially the one where he becomes morbius itself and morbs on gf The ending animation was hilarious, as it shows gf getting MORBED on and resulting in bf sleeping on the couch instead of with gf (This is a joke if you couldnt tell) Edit: I like how in a way, I kind of predicted what happens lmfao
I have a personal theory about bf. While I don't think he's immune to corruption anymore, i do think he has some sort of resistance to it. back in day two, when bf went all crazy, i think that was Soul!BF taking over for a bit so bf could get his thoughts straight once the corruption's voice started to set in. what sells this for me is the static part where soul is just barely in the background, supporting bf when he thinks it might be over. soul's there saying things to comfort him, to make sure he keeps his focus, similar to the part in this song where the faces comes in and scares bf. nothing happens, because soul is there, ready to take over if he's needed kinda like a second personality that he's set up (i dunno specifics obviously).
I really loved the animation at the end, with Bf sliding in to catch Gf, The little thumbs up and snuggle, the way Bf literally grabs and rolls out of the gunfire with her. It’s all really expressive and stylized, I love it.
[Spoilers, for people who haven't seen the whole video yet!] I missed the release by half an hour, but holy shtick. I knew GF would be saved, yeah, but I didn't think Pico would pull up like that! I'm wondering how the new Pico week will be like, being that BF is *apparently* immunized, but for now, I think y'all deserve a break after this chapter! 👏
The best part is that BF is in control the whole time. He starts the song and the Corruption is following and is struggling to keep up with his skills. That's why GF's parts are very repetitive
Such a banger of a track. A lot of love should always be put into the final song, for each character. Phantom Fear and the team never fall short. Amazing compositions, sprites, charting, everything. Keep doing your best, all of you.
Huh...interesting...it seems that if the person corrupted gains consciousness and fights off the corruption internally (BF), they potentially can reatin their energy and normal behvior. On the other hand, if the corruption is removed externally (BF cleansing GF in this case), it often leaves the formerly corrupted person (GF) tired, exhausted, fatigued. The corruption seems to have an anesthetic effect on someone. When BF fought Soul BF and de-corrupted himself, he came out with a ton o' energy which, considering how mentally/physically taxing it is to de-corrupt in general, should not be possible. BUT...when BF de-corrupts GF, she looks tired, fatigued, like she just wants to go to bed. Interesting little thing there.
That likely because they are aware of what their case is. As for someone cleansing their corruption, thy do not since they have not noticed anything. What if the corruption brings the victim to whatever dream world or deactivated the mind so they can't think. So maybe that's why gf fainted. Her mind hasn't turned on yet. While boyfriend had maybe part of his mind back and the body is struggling to follow bf's commands but the corruption says otherwise. This could be the reason why there were cracks on corrupted bf.
what if the corruption used up all of her energy to try to manipulate BF, if you think about it, demons can manipulate and make you hallucinate, therefore the corruption using all of her energy to try to make BF give up.
And so, the journey of Boyfriend is one step closer to being complete. With his own will and the power of his music, he has managed to save the love of his life from the depths of the corruption. It threw many tricks at him with Girlfriend under it's control, but he fought long and fought hard, eventually reminding her of who she loved most. Now Boyfriend is truly on the path to undo everything the corruption did with him under its will, as his next opponent is a lot more crazy and violent......and out of control....
I love the detail that the story is literally going in reverse now, from breaking free from the corruption going in the same order to the first one BF and GF will free together is pico, just like how it started
Yeah, it's safe to say the Corruption is kinda screwed at this point. Also, nice reference to Dyan's Corruption AU at 3:03. I can recognize that kind of rush chart anywhere.

The boyfriend had something the girlfriend's dad didn’t, he had the dedication and himself to back him up. They were both hit with emotional pain when they saw their love interest taken over but unlike the girlfriend's dad, the boyfriend kept inspiring himself and didn’t give up. This mod isn’t just a game that gives me thrills but also gives me life lessons. When you get hit down, build yourself back up again, when people say you can’t do it the only way you will know is if you try. I love this mod and I can’t wait for the next part.
Now that GF is back, Daddy Dearest has something worth fighting for. Seeing his daughter alive again will probably give him the same dedication BF has now.
I feel like we're entering a new chapter of the Corruption mod, where BF and GF will undo what they did wrong and save everyone From the Corruption, starting with Pico, who was their first victim. And who knows If they could face the big boss himself
I have a feeling Pico will see BF as a threat when he gets Uncorrupted due to BF being the one who corrupted him to begin with. Same with everyone else too (Although BF never fought Mommy Mearest so maybe she'd see Pico as a threat)
Interesting choice having Corrupted GF not look at BF as often, only having one note pose that looks in his direction, and the rest? Looking at the camera, aka *us*, it's like the corruption knows we're helping BF beat it, and it can't do anything about it.
I don't know if the mod will go through each and every character one by one or have them all purified at once or have bf fall to the corruption once more but. This has definitely has been a journey to watch, to see a simple skin mod to this. Amazing work to everyone who took part in this
I think it will go through each and every character, since it appears that the next one will be Pico, so it is probably be Pump and Skid after Pico, then Mommy Mearest, then maybe Senpai, IF he can still come back somehow, then Daddy Dearest, even though maybe they can make a fight against both Mommy Mearest and Daddy Dearest at the same time, just like what happens in Week 5 in the original game, which wouls be fire, and then they probably would have to defeat the main source, so maybe the last one would be Lemon Demon, but yea, i think that is how it is going to be, that way, this mod will continue for some good time, and if it happens that way, it will be fire.

I've always viewed the Corruption Mod as being in my Top Ten favorite Mods of all time for the longest time now, But honestly man. It's really the best Mod around. Seriously think about it for a second here, How many other Mods take place INSIDE of the Friday Night Funkin' Game itself? Rather then BF and GF just going into OTHER Games for most Mods, This ENTIRE Mod is inside of their Game, The Official Fnf. And every single Character inside OF this Mod, Is exactly Lore accurate to how they act and do stuff in the Main Game. Sure the Corruption aspect in and of itself is the "Mod" concept, The "Foreign Entity" that allows Phantom and his friends to make awesome creepy Music, And awesome Rock Music for the Mod, But it's never once done anything that fully breaks what makes each Character how they are in Fnf. Sure Boyfriend being "Nervous" at times is stretching the line just a tad, But Canon Boyfriend isn't SO stupid to the fact that he wouldn't eventually catch on to whats happening around him here, And his "Stupid" brain was being controlled for the better half of the entire dang Mod, Of course he's gonna be woozy after finally breaking out from the Corruptions clutches. But yeah I just seriously want to say, Thanks PhantomFear. Thanks for making the best dang Mod out there, And for doing as much research as you could to make everyone as Lore-accurate as you possible! "Seriously that small scene of Boyfriend holding Girlfriend and her giving him a little thumbs up for being so awesome, Only to then smile and hug each other? That rivaled the kiss that Girlfriend gave Boyfriend in Week 7, It was SO dang cute man!" And obviously, Amazing job to all the Musicians who made Music for this Mod, It's had a LOT of different people help out with Songs, That's another thing I love about it so much, Just how many different people have actually helped make this Mod, Even if it's just 1 Song that some people helped out with, Each one adds up over time, I think this Mod currently has the most amount of Songs out of any Mod out there, That's so crazy to think about! ^_^ Can't wait to see Boyfriend face Pico next time, I can tell it's gonna be pretty epic!
I hope that BF succeeds in saving CGF. this week was very interesting, and the whole mod was a hype. And what's better is that it was uploaded exactly on spooky month. Epic Edit 10:08 pm my place: alright, gatherin' info. BF manages to save GF, but apparently right after the battle, they seperate, and BF will battle Pico soon. I would say that BF can save Pico but that's unsure, since GF seperates from BF but at the same time, Soul BF is there. So I can't say much till the next day. That's all I got for now.
The corruption at the end when its starring down bf looks so pissed off. Yet I think it was weakened when it lost girlfriend. But its still strong enough to fight. But when corr picot is looking at bf. It feels like the corruption is saying "you may have taken down my strongest host but you fail to relieze it's far from over!"

Now that the pico week has been released, pico also has no loosing icon so, ur point might be debunked. And they might be added later on when the mod is actually released.
What we see here basically confirms that Day 2 was Corrupted GF’s last chance at winning. From the overall extremely hopeful motif of the song, BF just being able to completely pop off in some parts of the song with the corruption offering little to no resistance, to the fact that the hallucination that the corruption conjured at 1:06 barely lasted 10 seconds and only succeeded in mildly phasing BF, this entire song is essentially the showcase of the complete defeat of GF’s corruption. The real battle ended the second BF broke out of the corruptions hallucination on Day 2.

You really get the feeling here that Pico may have some surprises, but we know he's not going to stand too much chance. Corrupted Girlfriend was the only person who could defeat BF and now that she's free, BF basically has won this as long as he doesn't do something stupid.

The corruption had one last ditch effort to try and trick BF into giving up (Around 1:07), but now that Soul gave him the determination to go on, he persevered and broke through the corruption. Excited to see what's next with Pico now that GF is on BF's side! Maybe the corruption will focus more on killing BF (since Pico is STRAPPED) than trying to make him give up, since it didn't work with GF.

Back in the old days where BF himself was corrupted, if you missed a note, he'd stare you directly in the face.
It's been said before but I feel the need to say it again. At this point, Corruption has evolved from a mere Mod Game to a full-on AU Movie. It's amazing how far they've come and how much effort Phantom and the others put into what was initially meant to be a rhythm game. This is definitely one of the best FNF Mods out there. And I can't wait for the next episode.

yeah that makes sense as the corruption takes over from the brain the rest of a victims body can be uncorrupted but as long as the head of the victim is corrupted it still has power although probably not as much
Also since it can travel through sound waves, if any part of your mouth or voice box is corrupted, it’s probably best to give up.

I love this part, I feel like too many people forget Pico’s gun is a Mac-10, a Submachine, so many mods portray Pico taking only a few shots instead of a full mag-dump, what also adds to this is that Pico has 2 shown here, and Phantom made sure to perfectly make that work, god you put so much faith into your work, can’t wait for the next chapter.

Theory Time: BF was one of the first to get corrupted in this, most likely due to the corruption of GF and the corruption itself. However, it was probably a situation where the corruption knew that BF was very strong, resorting to keeping him comatose in his own body and feeling hopeless so they couldn’t fight. Then, when Soul BF woke them up, BF was still vulnerable in his own mind and the corruption tried to break his spirits again to keep thing under control. It evidently didn’t work, as Soul BF broke them out and gave (and is still giving) him the determination to move forward. Now, with this fight against Corrupt GF, the corruption is getting frustrated and desperate as they resort to illusions and manipulation to try and break him again in the first and second song. It nearly succeeded in the second, but Soul came in for the save. I think during the second song and after this third- and this is my theory- the corruption has realized that controlling BF is no longer an option. Now that he has saved one person, he knows it’s possible to save the rest, guaranteeing that they won’t be hopeless again. So, the corruption has now settled on just killing BF and GF and saving itself the trouble.
And who better to do that than the one corrupted WITH A GUN 😂.

I mean it's hinted at pretty strongly that Boyfriend was just a by-product of Girlfriend being Corrupted, He's the second ever person to become Corrupted, And he had a special bond with Girlfriend herself, So as a "Pair" Evil Boyfriend and Evil Girlfriend were basically invincible. It had nothing to do with Boyfriend being strong or anything like that.
After-all remember that Pico un-corrupted Boyfriend a bit in his Week. So Evil Boyfriend himself isn't anything TOO special. It was mainly his bond with Evil Girlfriend that made him so powerful.

Corruption is the only part of the fnf community that I still keep watch on. The songs here have proven they aren’t afraid to be bangers, and there’s some semblance of an actual story that isn’t in many other mods that I’ve seen.

Boyfriend and Girlfriend give each other the support they need to take on anything, and now that they are both free again they are basically unstoppable, or at least uncorruptable for as long as they are together.
This mod has been absolutely stellar so far and I know that it will continue to be so.

Pico is probably the only other Corrupted even remotely strong enough to stand up to Boyfriend honestly, He's got "MC" Powers in the same way Boyfriend does, And he was in the original set of Corrupted people in the Story, If Boyfriend was the Vanguard of the Corruption, Then Pico is like a Knight or something.
Remember that we DO get too play as him to Corrupt Mommy Mearest, Earlier in the Mod, He's a "Playable Character" to the Corruption, That means something in my eyes.
@@Joshuamiller19570 this might be extremely wrong, but I feel like evil daddy dearest might be more than strong enough to take bf on. Reason being, I feel like the uncorruption weeks might play out as a reverse to the corruption weeks. Using evil gf vs bf as an example, it plays out similar to evil bf vs pico. Day one is kinda even, day two the opponent starts winning( bf being partially uncorrupted, and bf almost giving up) and then boyfriend recovers and the day three is a extremely one-sided fight for boyfriend. Also, this uncorruption pico week will be the reverse of the corruption one, instead of evil bf and evil gf vs pico, it's bf and gf vs evil pico.

Which is to say... That if Boyfriend even knocks a SLIVER of the Corruption off of Daddy Dearest, DD will take care of the rest himself, It's not going to be a hard fight like Evil Girlfriend was, And definitely won't be as hard as Pico who has a freaking Gun lmao

The order is basically going to be backwards now though, I think you're right about that, Girlfriend first, Then Pico, Then the Spooky Kids, Then Mommy Mearest, And then finally Daddy Dearest.

I was thinking that evil dd might have inherited that reverse the corruption power for himself to make it harder to uncorrupt him instead, because there's some mystery to what he's capable of since he's the only evil character we haven't seen yet, and if he's going to be the final boss of the corruption like how dd was the final boss to the corruption, a reverse deathmatch would be a possible way to do that, though the corruption dev team will probably take a different approach since that's really predictable.
And just like how it started we're back to the main man Pico, it's interesting to think about how all of this is circling right back to where the corruption was first spread. That ending with BF and GF holding each other was sweet. Let's hope they're able to save Pico too!
I think I have an idea for what might happen with Mommy Mearest and Daddy Dearest I think that they might show up in the Mall where the Corruption started with then teaming up like in week 5 with Lemon Demon showing up after Mommy Mearest and Daddy Dearest get saved starting the Battle Against Lemon Demon.

It is possible. We actually don't know if anyone is able to keep fighting after being taken over. Even BF required Soul to wake him up, and it didn't seem like GF was really conscious during her corrupted time. You can tell she was probably unconscious until being freed (you can see that she's still really groggy as Pico is attacking them, almost like she was forced awake from a nap).
But Pico (at least in most of the Corruption mods) has been shown to be one of the stronger people in the FNF universe when it comes to fighting the corruption. I know the other mods aren't really canon to this one, but Pico put up much more resistance. Pico and MM were the ones that didn't really break before they were fully corrupted, nor show much fear at all during their battles. We saw DD sorta break down the moment he see Corrupted MM and never really recovered, and Skid was in tears after Pump got corrupted. Now that BF and GF are free, Pico may be the strongest person the corruption has right now to take on BF.
@@Hei_Darkfire also bf only needs to uncorrupt DD just enough for him to regain consciousness, then DD can uncorrupt fully, provided MM is uncorrupted first.

Oh my god... This one hit me right in the feels. I can't believe how powerful you can tell a story through the rap battles alone. But it's not often someone comes along with that kind of storywriting talent. In this mod, the story is always in the battle, while the cutscenes are just to add context here and there. This mod is a great example of what people should aspire when making games. Telling a story without needing an endless amount of words to explain it. Not many people could make a game that has the gameplay giving the story, rather than the cutscenes. But you have mastered the art beautifully.

Even for Daddy Dearest's section "When the Mod really hit it's peak and started becoming amazing" That took a LONG TIME to run it's course.
I view the Corruption Mod as the best Mod out there because of just how similar it is to the Original in this slow-making aspect, It being faithful to Fnf Characters, And having banger Music and Story-driven stuff is just a bonus imo.

I know this comment can get dismissed by anyone but I just wanted to say that it’s impressive to see how much the mod developed into something way bigger than anyone could have thought going from just a simple reskin mod, to the first two and a half week having remixes(The Skid and Pump weeks has Chiller and the Mommy Mearest week has original songs) , to the beautiful Senpai and Daddy Dearest weeks to finally coming to the incredible Soul BF and Evil Gf weeks, this will always be my favorite FNF mod and it makes me excited for anything that PhantomFear and his amazing team will release, they all deserve a huge ovation for the all the time and effort they’ve done on it.

1 year ago this was a small project with reskins of the Friday night funkin characters but now it’s turned into a full on movie. I’m so impressed on how much can be done within a year the music have changed to from remixes to its own songs.cant wait to play this if it comes out

This is probably the greatest ongoing mod series i've ever seen for fnf. and it started with just a simple reskin from week 5, then somehow expanded into a whole overarching story, of which i've never seen before.
I didn't expect it to end like this, but I'm not disappointed, at least I appreciate that they released it in the shortest time possible :D

I love how it looks like bf has adapted to and grown resistant to the corruption’s tricks. Bf is only shooken up by the darkness section and it only lasts around ten seconds. But I’m honestly not quite sure if bf can get out of a fight with Corrupted Pico without getting some corruption on him. After all, it was stated he was the most out of control. Maybe Pico has some tricks that the others don’t?
I hope they don't screw it up, because I want to see some mechanics. Although perhaps and this mod wants to be faithful to the original game without mechanics.

This is one of those mods unique to the game that actually has a story of its own to tell. A lot of mods have been releasing in updated versions of themselves, usually going off on their own as spin of some other material with ensemble guests thrown into the mix. This is one of disease and despair, but offers some degree of hope after initial misfortunes and setbacks. A sense of triumph. A sense of overcoming it after being given the mental rigamarole.
But, viruses tend to put up a fight. Granted they don't have devilish origins in reality, though the emotionless cruelty is enough reason to keep fighting. It's a matter of resolve in the end.
Okay WOW. This did NOT disappoint. I absolutely love these kind of mods that have a genuine story going on and tell it during the song and have reactions, so to speak. It's just an extra level of geniune feeling to it. To those that say they're unstoppable. I wouldn't bet on it, it's only going to get harder as it refortifies itself within each of the remaining victims it not spreading out so thin maybe? not sure how it worse, but regardless, it hasn't been cornered yet and that's when it is at its most dangerous.

honestly the fact this went from a simple reskin to an entire AU with it's own storyline and cutscenes with tracks that absolutely slap every single time is astounding, this will be the greatest FNF mod in history when it releases
I can’t believe we made it this far into this legendary mod. I remember being in high school when this mod started. Now I’m in university seeing how much potential it has grown into!

Here's my two cents.
The Uncorruption week should work akin to the DD bossfight in reverse. 1v1s with very difficult fights, different styles, and each introducing a mechanic which- at first is lightly intorduced but scales with each day till the 4th song where it's the source versus BF and the whole uncorrupted group.
Or, one song per uncorruption to prevent filler and making this drag on forever.
I think it would make sense for each character to have one longer song of uncorruption. The mod has already gone on for a while before the second half

The mod seems to be almost over, can't wait to see it completed. I can see why this is taking, a year or two to make, there is so much detail in this mod. I'm not sure we can call this a mod anymore, it's almost like a full game now.
It has at least 3 more Weeks left imo, Next one is Pico, The one after that is Spooky Kids, Mommy Mearest, And Daddy Dearest "In that order" And the 3rd one will be against Lemon Monster.

The Corruption literally was like, "You thought we were done, Boyfriend...?!" at the end there! The war is *FAR* from over!
This guy (and his team I doubt he makes this alone) managed to go from a skin and remix mod, to full blown originak songs, graphics, story, everything! While it may take a while for vids to come out in my opinion the wait is worth it.

It's time! The moment we've been waiting for is HERE! The final battle with Evil GF.
If i may I going to list my observations and predictions on what will happen. First, going from the thumbnail she has a visibly angry expression and that is most likely from her getting mad that BF still hasn't submitted back into the Corruption's will after Day 2. As a result she is going to try her hardest this time. Coupled with how the end of day 2 saw her getting into what looked like a harness with six wings around it. If GF didn't look scary enough it's going to look like BF is fighting an all powerful demon in this final day! Let's hope BF has the resolve to withstand and conquer this battle!
Now the song teaser: the bit we got to hear sounds similar to that first break period during the song Allure. You know where the spider like legs show up? I do have to wonder if they will factor into this final act. But i can say if this bit is from the beginning instrumental again, then this is gonna go HARD right from the get go! i swear monster is just sitting there, watching, and waiting, teeth grinding, clenching the arm of his couch as tight as possible, and is about to scream "WHEN IS MY TURN!?" at the top of his lungs
This was honestly suprising, at first I was shocked by cgfs design, and the amount of effort that was put into her animations, but the voice lines were godly, especially when she said: "It's corruptin' time!"
As for bf, I was shocked by his 200 new voice lines and sprites, especially the one where he becomes morbius itself and morbs on gf
The ending animation was hilarious, as it shows gf getting MORBED on and resulting in bf sleeping on the couch instead of with gf

I was watching part 2 yesterday when I then had the thought, “I should do a reaction to part 3 when it comes out.”
This feels like fate.
I have a personal theory about bf. While I don't think he's immune to corruption anymore, i do think he has some sort of resistance to it. back in day two, when bf went all crazy, i think that was Soul!BF taking over for a bit so bf could get his thoughts straight once the corruption's voice started to set in. what sells this for me is the static part where soul is just barely in the background, supporting bf when he thinks it might be over. soul's there saying things to comfort him, to make sure he keeps his focus, similar to the part in this song where the faces comes in and scares bf. nothing happens, because soul is there, ready to take over if he's needed kinda like a second personality that he's set up (i dunno specifics obviously).
I really loved the animation at the end, with Bf sliding in to catch Gf, The little thumbs up and snuggle, the way Bf literally grabs and rolls out of the gunfire with her. It’s all really expressive and stylized, I love it.

The best part is that BF is in control the whole time. He starts the song and the Corruption is following and is struggling to keep up with his skills. That's why GF's parts are very repetitive
Such a banger of a track. A lot of love should always be put into the final song, for each character. Phantom Fear and the team never fall short. Amazing compositions, sprites, charting, everything. Keep doing your best, all of you.
That was very good, the sprites, animations, and mechanics, everything. This started from a reskin. This mod growed alot and still will grow.

Huh...interesting...it seems that if the person corrupted gains consciousness and fights off the corruption internally (BF), they potentially can reatin their energy and normal behvior.
On the other hand, if the corruption is removed externally (BF cleansing GF in this case), it often leaves the formerly corrupted person (GF) tired, exhausted, fatigued. The corruption seems to have an anesthetic effect on someone.
When BF fought Soul BF and de-corrupted himself, he came out with a ton o' energy which, considering how mentally/physically taxing it is to de-corrupt in general, should not be possible.
BUT...when BF de-corrupts GF, she looks tired, fatigued, like she just wants to go to bed. Interesting little thing there.
That likely because they are aware of what their case is. As for someone cleansing their corruption, thy do not since they have not noticed anything. What if the corruption brings the victim to whatever dream world or deactivated the mind so they can't think. So maybe that's why gf fainted. Her mind hasn't turned on yet. While boyfriend had maybe part of his mind back and the body is struggling to follow bf's commands but the corruption says otherwise. This could be the reason why there were cracks on corrupted bf.

what if the corruption used up all of her energy to try to manipulate BF, if you think about it, demons can manipulate and make you hallucinate, therefore the corruption using all of her energy to try to make BF give up.
And so, the journey of Boyfriend is one step closer to being complete. With his own will and the power of his music, he has managed to save the love of his life from the depths of the corruption. It threw many tricks at him with Girlfriend under it's control, but he fought long and fought hard, eventually reminding her of who she loved most. Now Boyfriend is truly on the path to undo everything the corruption did with him under its will, as his next opponent is a lot more crazy and violent......and out of control....
I love the detail that the story is literally going in reverse now, from breaking free from the corruption going in the same order to the first one BF and GF will free together is pico, just like how it started

And the moment GF is saved was so unbelievably cute, with him being shocked at first after all the fakeouts, but then catching her and being happy))) Also, GF’s usual thumb-up right after she’s been saved from freaking corruption just cracks me up😂 This girl can withstand anything)))
And oh, that cliffhanger! So, Pico is next, I wonder, who will be after him. Skid and Pump, perhaps? And will there be a final showdown between BF and the Monster after everyone is saved? I hope they will all participate to help BF and kick his lemon ass)
The boyfriend had something the girlfriend's dad didn’t, he had the dedication and himself to back him up. They were both hit with emotional pain when they saw their love interest taken over but unlike the girlfriend's dad, the boyfriend kept inspiring himself and didn’t give up. This mod isn’t just a game that gives me thrills but also gives me life lessons. When you get hit down, build yourself back up again, when people say you can’t do it the only way you will know is if you try. I love this mod and I can’t wait for the next part.
Now that GF is back, Daddy Dearest has something worth fighting for. Seeing his daughter alive again will probably give him the same dedication BF has now.

Interesting choice having Corrupted GF not look at BF as often, only having one note pose that looks in his direction, and the rest? Looking at the camera, aka *us*, it's like the corruption knows we're helping BF beat it, and it can't do anything about it.

I don't know if the mod will go through each and every character one by one or have them all purified at once or have bf fall to the corruption once more but.

I think it will go through each and every character, since it appears that the next one will be Pico, so it is probably be Pump and Skid after Pico, then Mommy Mearest, then maybe Senpai, IF he can still come back somehow, then Daddy Dearest, even though maybe they can make a fight against both Mommy Mearest and Daddy Dearest at the same time, just like what happens in Week 5 in the original game, which wouls be fire, and then they probably would have to defeat the main source, so maybe the last one would be Lemon Demon, but yea, i think that is how it is going to be, that way, this mod will continue for some good time, and if it happens that way, it will be fire.

I've always viewed the Corruption Mod as being in my Top Ten favorite Mods of all time for the longest time now, But honestly man. It's really the best Mod around.
Seriously think about it for a second here, How many other Mods take place INSIDE of the Friday Night Funkin' Game itself? Rather then BF and GF just going into OTHER Games for most Mods, This ENTIRE Mod is inside of their Game, The Official Fnf. And every single Character inside OF this Mod, Is exactly Lore accurate to how they act and do stuff in the Main Game.
Sure the Corruption aspect in and of itself is the "Mod" concept, The "Foreign Entity" that allows Phantom and his friends to make awesome creepy Music, And awesome Rock Music for the Mod, But it's never once done anything that fully breaks what makes each Character how they are in Fnf.
Sure Boyfriend being "Nervous" at times is stretching the line just a tad, But Canon Boyfriend isn't SO stupid to the fact that he wouldn't eventually catch on to whats happening around him here, And his "Stupid" brain was being controlled for the better half of the entire dang Mod, Of course he's gonna be woozy after finally breaking out from the Corruptions clutches.
But yeah I just seriously want to say, Thanks PhantomFear. Thanks for making the best dang Mod out there, And for doing as much research as you could to make everyone as Lore-accurate as you possible! "Seriously that small scene of Boyfriend holding Girlfriend and her giving him a little thumbs up for being so awesome, Only to then smile and hug each other? That rivaled the kiss that Girlfriend gave Boyfriend in Week 7, It was SO dang cute man!"
And obviously, Amazing job to all the Musicians who made Music for this Mod, It's had a LOT of different people help out with Songs, That's another thing I love about it so much, Just how many different people have actually helped make this Mod, Even if it's just 1 Song that some people helped out with, Each one adds up over time, I think this Mod currently has the most amount of Songs out of any Mod out there, That's so crazy to think about! ^_^

I would say that BF can save Pico but that's unsure, since GF seperates from BF but at the same time, Soul BF is there. So I can't say much till the next day.

The corruption at the end when its starring down bf looks so pissed off. Yet I think it was weakened when it lost girlfriend. But its still strong enough to fight. But when corr picot is looking at bf. It feels like the corruption is saying "you may have taken down my strongest host but you fail to relieze it's far from over!"
This mod is singlehandedly keeping the fnf fanbase alive.
