    Hey man- I think I commented the first time I watched and used this video installing a ZumoXT on my t7, but swapping out my GPS and pulled this back up for some reminder tips on the connections. Great pace, visibility of components and explanation of steps. Thanks again!

    Just wanted to thank you for the awesome video. Sorry to hear about the hurricane damage, I hope that you've since recovered and are back out on the road. I ended up rolling the excess GPS wire into the empty auxiliary cavity on the right side of the cowl; there is an outlet that allows the cable to spit out right where the empty auxiliary connector is sitting. Again, great video, thank you for passing on the knowledge!

      Thanks for watching. As for the hurricane damage, everything is pretty much back to normal but of course they are predicting this year to be one of the worst seasons ever. Guess we’ll see 🤞

    Seriously the best video I've seen, thank you so much.
    Those wire crimps are out of stock on Amazon and every auto shop I go to ask like they've never seen them. Any tips on where to find them or something else I could search for online. That accessory box is so small. Most of the wire crimps I find are too big and bulky to fit in there.

      Try cycleterminal.com they have a good variety of stuff specifically for motorcycles.

    Add an anti glare foil on that screen and get an anti theft protection called zumolock easy to install in between the mount and attachment bar.

      Definitely an option. I just prefer to keep the factory harness intact and plug into it.

    Thanks for posting, need to do this myself. Got the parts I needed but the connector. Any way you can tell me which electrical connecter it is? The link goes to the homepage of the supplier, not the specific one. Is it the 2 Pin DC-090
    CDI Connector?

    Nice video. I don’t see any lock. I need a powered locking bracket. Is there such a thing? I’m not going to take the thing off and put it back on every time I get on the bike. This is half a solution.

    • @MotoSouth
      @MotoSouth  2 роки тому

      There are companies that make locking mounts if that’s what you require. Touratech makes one of the most popular locking mounts.

    I assume the accessory connector everyone is using for their GPS is providing the correct power (amps?). What is the accessory connector on the left side used for? I'd like to add heated grips. Which connector should I use?
