@@zuichiang5088Not only that. Steffi would bt Seles in 1990 French Open Final. 1992 French Open Final and 1993 Australian Open Final. And Wimbledon Final 1992 Graf will destroy Seles 6-0,6-0 in just 20 Minutes
couldn't help but chuckle at the sequence starting 8:37. Safe to say Steffi wasn't too impressed w/ Bettina's attempt at an inside-out FH and had to show her how it's done.
Please don't tell me Chris Evert was a better clay court player than Steffi. Even 1985/86 version of Chrissy wouldn't have touched that Steffi even on clay.
Imagine what this version of Steffi would do with a modern racket and strings.... ❤
She would be unbeatable.
1:20 ... Steffi's leverage on the forehand is perfect.
Would have been a double grand slam if she had not gotten sick!
Yes she was sooooo close
Despite her illness, she was 5-3 up in the 3rd set.
ASV, was very fortunate that day.
totally agree. A healthy Steffi would have beaten Arantxa at FO 89 final andU US Open 94 final! oh well....

Jeez what a level that day. As Navratilova said once no one ever plays a perfect match, but is this as close as you can get? 🤷♂️ I’d say probably…😆
Fulco needed to vary the spins more on her backhand. That's what made Sabatini a more dangerous opponent to Graf.
Was this match played on the "olde" bullring court at Roland Garros? I really miss that unique court

Wow, I thought Fulco played very well. I didn't see any big errors from her side. What a unlucky day for her to meet Steffi playing at her best.
