Yes, check the stuff I play at the end of this video. Practice that inverted paradiddle, and then turn it into sequences of 5's and 7's, with varied stickings. The weirder it feels to play, the better. Do that while keeping a quarter note pulse going with your left foot. You'll end up with some cool polymetric movements. I've been messing around with stuff like that quite a bit recently and it did make a difference. It's going to melt your brain in the beginning but it's worth it. Have fun!

You play the quarter notes with your left foot, and on the snare you go ahead and play stuff like: R l l r r l l - as 16th notes, always accenting that R That's a grouping of 7 notes, but when played as 16th notes, you end up with a 7 against 4 polyrhythm. That's the concept. Then you do the same with groupings of 5, for example: R l r r l - again, as 16th notes, always accenting the first R of the grouping. Let me know if this makes sense. If not I'll record a video explaining this on the practice pad
