Thank you so much for this video.. it is really helpful . By the way which photoshop version do you use ? I am using PS 2021 but after a point is starts lagging.
Well normally I use font 12 but even that can be small sometimes when you are creating a poster but 12 is good if you are looking at it physically with your hands. For A1 posters I use 16 for small text and 22 for headings. I hope this helps :)
I loved your tips :) but I only have a doubt, if you made your portfolio in Photoshop, how do you merged all those jpgs? to look like an issu portfolio or to send it in one file?
You are welcome and thank you for watching :) Yes of course. I've made the layout of my A3 portfolio as if the pages were open to see how it would look like (spreads). So after I am done, I would crop the spreads in half and save each as an A3 so I can print it if that makes sense :)
I’m a little confused about something. So when you’re designing your portfolio with the pictures and the description of them, do you just pull pictures from online and put them with your portfolio? Do you design pictures to put in your portfolio? I can understand everything else to do with the portfolio, but I’m just not understanding where the pictures that are in put in there come from.
The way you said Keep it Simple, Stupid..... is epic. haha... :P. And what about the processor becoming slower with so much of files stored. Question. Is photoshop the best software for presenting strict grid deficit design composition? Or are there other software which is more feasible yet quite efficient like photoshop. Like Indesign or Illustrator. I have no idea about the other softwares. I appreciate your effort in making the best way possible to answer most replies. And thanks for replying and feedback over my last drawings. Your comments are well received. Good luck for more videos. :) :)
Thank you hehhe :) , I know what you mean but if you save the images as JPEG and then move them in it woudnt be big size, I only started learning InDesign a few weeks ago and i found that its amazing, it links with the PSD or Ai files and updates to any change made, I made a video about how good InDesign is and some tips and tricks, this is the link: ua-cam.com/video/GIpJ9Fr-uvo/v-deo.html if there is anything els pls let me know, im glad that you like my comments i really try to help and make my videos understandable as much as possible. Adode Photoshop is a paid one can you the samething with other editing software like gimp, photopea and Pixlr it will really help those who don't have software like Adobe Photoshop or who can't afford it
@@SurvivingArchitecture they don't provide us with something like that tbh it's been 3 years they didn't give us something like that. My question is can you teach us ? It will really help a lot of creative people ???
I didn't know they provide free license until I asked one of the IT staff so maybe you can ask? They also provided us with a free Microsoft license. As for tutorials on free softwares, as the majority of my viewers have photoshop, it wouldn't be that big of help and it would take alot of effort from me to download those softwares and learn how to use them. I know photoshop is expensive but can you afford the monthly subscription?
Wow, this is definitely one of my favourites now! Can't wait for the next video!
