J. Clark I wonder how the front row down stairs are hearing the beautiful organ performance you're rendering. The pulpit also can they hear? I'm curious!
Great performance! I'm a pianist and recently started playing the organ, still much to learn. Are you following a score, or are you improvising from the hymnal? - specifically after the first few verses. Thanks!
Wonderful, just wonderful, but the organist is playing the hymns a tad to fast. He is not giving the congregation breathing time. Use the rest notes brother, use the rest notes after each stanza, and don't play so fast. Otherwise jsut wonderful!
No break by the organist at the end of phrases for the singers to take a quick breath. Tisk tisk. The organist plays like a metronome. This is not good. He should sing with them, so he knows where to put pauses for breathing. Also too speedy on the tempo (We're not going to a race here). Please slow a bit, and pause when you see a comma or period in the words so singers can breathe.
Seems to me like it’s the organist’s job to lead the singers not visa versa. I thought the days of organists’ dragging at the start of a verse and between every line were over. Well played jclarke527!
All the verses, too!! Absolutely wonderful.
Love the tempo..... the organist is playing at a very good speed... he sounds like he might be a Baptist. Thumbs up
Baptists would slow it waaaaay down.
Thanks for uploading all these wonderful old hymns.
What a nice song for Christ the king.
I just came from Twin Cities after touring cathedrals in the NW of the USA. I wish I stopped in at St Michael's. Stupendous music, organ and choir!!!
Thanks. Stop by if your travels take you through MN in the future.
+jclarke527 Please check messages!
great tempo and plenty of time for singers to breathe between verses!
@Chesterbarnes1 Yes. The organ carries very well all the way to the front. Thanks.

perfect tempo
great tempo and plenty of time for singers to breathe between verses! The organist is even singing along, so can guage the proper tempo

Hope you're doing well by now!
