I actually just got my very first snag ever in one of my jerseys a few days ago, and I fixed it by following her video. It was so easy. It was a little upsetting at first that it happened, but I’ve pretty much come to realize that it’s kind of inevitable if you’re going to buy jerseys and wear them, which I totally do. It’s just part of the game.
I just went back to that video yesterday when I had to wash a jersey. I’m always nervous I’m going to do something stupid when I wash them, so just having an expert confirm I was doing it the right way made me feel much more confident about it.
Step 1: get a sticker or paper you like
Step 2: Glue it to a magnet
Why would that require a video?
i was at the edmonton team store this week and they sell a PLUSH HOT DOG with an oilers logo on it. i have no idea why that’s a thing.

The Canes just added a new shirt to their team store with the "No touch my guys" quote from Pyotr Kochetkov.
I have season tickets for the Blues, but I still go to their physical store every game, because sometimes it feels like they opened a random box or closet and found some random merch. It also seems like the staff gets bored and reorganizes everything every few weeks. Both it and their online store, stlauthentics, will sometimes have stuff that you won't find elsewhere online.
I just wish everything they had was available on the store website. But it isn't.
My favourite Leafs hat I wear all the time cost me around $80 at the time and I love it, it's a Zephyr fitted back with embossed '67 Leaf logo on a blue front with a small embossed 90's logo on the back centre and another larger printed blue outline of the '67 logo on the side on an inner white layer covered over by an outer white mesh layer that kind of gives it a ghost image look.
About 10 years old and still looks and feels like new despite wearing it almost every day, super high quality and I have never seen another one like it over that time despite being in the middle of Leafs land so apparently it's fairly unique. $80 was worth it for such quality.
The recent $40 printed cap I got that came with loose threads and feels like plastic and is itchy and makes me sweat badly when wearing it was not worth it, it's hard to find decent quality merch these days when they sell $5 hats for $50. Give me high quality and I'll pay top dollar for it but I'm not wasting any money on crap anymore.
Have you tried the Ebbets Field Flannels or '47 brand websites to purchase any NHL merch ?
@@tudormiller887 - I used to have an Ebbets Field Flannels Maple Leafs baseball team vintage jersey till a cat tore it to shreds and it was pretty nice but they didn't have any NHL Leafs merch back then and as far I can tell with a quick search they still don't so that sucks.
I do have one '47 Leafs hat that I like for the fit and feel of it but it faded pretty badly after a few months so I'm hesitant to get anymore from them unless they're just to hang up for display. I am still debating their St. Pats hat though just because the only Pats hat I have is just a normal Leafs hat that's green with a tiny Pats logo on the side.
That hat was bought quite a long time ago though so maybe they've improved, or maybe I just got unlucky with a bad one, I guess maybe I should give them another shot since lots of other folks think they are decent quality.

What does Zegras, out with broken leg, mean to the Ducks marketing? Orange County Dick’s Sporting Goods has blank Duck jerseys or Zegras, period. No Gibson, Fowler, Vatrano, McTavish, Terry, Carlsson, Mintyukov. Just Zegras.
That reminds me of when the Islanders first went to Brooklyn they were trying to sell Josh Ho-Sang as their new star of the future and they were really pushing his jersey in the team store. There were hundreds of them in every size "Ho-Sang 66". He was back in Bridgeport before Christmas. Wonder what happened to all those jerseys.
My brother picked me up a Tiki type Sharks themed mask in the Bahamas. Pretty sure most Shark fans won’t have one. Also got a San Jose apron that my mom picked up from a shop in Tahoe.

Buying from the international nhl store sucks too. No where near as much merch as the U.S. store.

The online store is one thing, but the store at the arena is a whole different breed of cat. At Nationwide Arena there are at least 50 different Blue Jackets hats. You can get a CBJ dog collar, checkerboard set, oodles of different jackets, hoodies, t-shirts, coffee mugs, magnets, decals, Stinger dolls, pucks, player photos, players game used sticks (most around $250, a guy like Jenner would go for $300) and that's just what I remember off the top of my head.

The unlicensed stuff gets so much more unique and impressive at a fraction of the price. Also, it's not illegal to forge signatures to make stuff look even more eye catching. Obviously just dont try to sell forged or unlicensed stuff as official.
It’s still illegal to use the nhl logos if you aren’t licensed
@@Ck69420 anyone can make, buy, and use any logos without any license. The only legality has to do with selling and even then there are exceptions if it's not commiting fraud. This is very established in law all around the world.
I know Shannon and Yvonne have moved more than once. I find myself wondering what percentage of the truck(s) was taken up by hockey stuff.
They have a video or two talking about how it went, and how they did it. And how much he moved himself because the movers in previous moves weren't as gentle as they could have been. So the trucks didn't get as much hockey stuff as you'd think.

I have a couple of New Era fitted Flames hats from the CGY Team Store and they're fantastic! I'm just happy they're available somewhere at all. The quality and fit is 10x better and the designs are vastly superior to anything Fanatics has put out since taking over. The brick and mortar team shops are our last hope against the Fanatics monopoly

One of my teams doesn't either. And it's quite baffling why in this day and age any business as big as a pro sports team wouldn't have their own store website.

If you hear of an arena closing down head there. I found an absolutely authentic Penguins Ron Francis Jersey in the Boston Gardens team store right after they moved and the Gardens was being demolished and it cost about $20. Easily a $200+ item even in the 1990's. They were just trying to get rid of everything. I found it by accident, just happened to be in Boston that day. So when the Flames move to their new arena, everyone head to Calgary.
It always cracks me up just how wide ranging the branded products are. I have a Tampa Bay Lightning glencairn glass, so I am guilty of buying some of it. That said, it gets comments any time I post a pic of it with whatever I am drinking.
I never liked that ugly Oilers logo and Reverse Retro. I bought an old Starter hat that is much better made than any crappy Fanatics hat. I did find an arena exclusive hoodie at the team store last year.

This is a great video. Other sports leagues do a better job at marketing and distribution of team gear specifically retro looking stuff. I live in Houston so it's hard finding merch of my favorite team the wild
Speaking as a long time Bengals fan, I would recommend some pre-stripes Bengals stuff, when their helmet just said "Bengals". I've always hated the stripes. The helmet looks like a pumpkin, which actually has been appropriate for most Bengals teams over the years. I go back far enough with the Bengals that I have authentic pre-stripes stuff I bought when I was a kid, including a baseball cap, a wall plaque and a helmet bought from Montgomery Wards around 1971 ("not recommended for game use" as it says inside). Then I have a couple of repro/retro items, like a Ken Anderson jersey, the only football jersey I own.
I like the helmet with the stripes way more. The team name only is just so plain and lifeless.

Bro. You’re right. I was on NHL shop earlier, and I actually scored a Columbus Saint Paddy’s Adidas jersey for 60 bucks, which I thought was a steal. I also got a couple things for the office like a mouse pad, a flag, an autographed puck signed by Adam Fantilli, I figured I would put on my desk.
The team store is where you’re going to find more original merch though, no doubt. Some of it is still a little expensive though. I’m really close to ordering a tie-dye shirt from Columbus but it’s like 50 bucks plus shipping, which, normally I wouldn’t mind. I’ve just already ordered a ton of stuff this week already or I probably would’ve just done it. I still might.
