Hey ben nice to see the apex out on the beach again ,mines 2 years old and still in the box with the raider coil .one day I will get to use it I just keep it charged along with the headphones lol.anyway I no longer have FB ben so I guess I cant have a land sticker 😥lol any way as always great vid mate .happy days 👍👍👍👍👍

Nice one Ben. I blame all the dredging that goes on for all the beach erosion. The dredger has been moving along the shipping lane for weeks! All the ballast it removes is being replaced by the beach I think. 😢
It all changes so quickly doesn't it. Won't be long and we won't recognise it anymore. In more places than others 👍

Hi Ben would take any tbh ! Great video! I'm up near Bridlington and love my Apex on the beach, but mostly been on my farm Permissions this year using my ORX

Not had the pleasure of using an orx but I hear all positives.. the Deus 2 looks like a beast.... But I'm going to hold out for the next Garrett AT line I think it may be similar to the axiom they've released for gold. Time will tell

Excellent video & Apex is a brilliant beach machine but be wary of banging or bumping the coil into anything. Yes it does happen however careful you are, beach detectors lead a hard life on certain beaches here in blighty, but I broke mine in less than 2 years- full of cracks & unserviceable. I'm wondering if the Garrett coils are durable enough for UK beach detecting?
Funny you should say that. I've just been out after a long break away from detecting, hence the late reply. And every bump I hit it was reacting silly. BUT, I have since give it a good clean in clear water and disconnected everything and plugged coil back in securely and factory reset and ground balanced in the sea and hey presto, it's working like a dream. Always use a cool protector is my advice. I am thinking of getting a nel cool though in truth. I had one with my ave 250 and it was a game changer.
@@180FelixstoweHunter , yes good tip about coil protector. I used one on my old coil until the protector fell apart and dropped off the coil. Anyway check the coil for cracks regularly, though they won't actually show up until after a fault develops. One thing I did with my new coil was fit the cover and then I added a 2mm thick rubber L shaped strip to the edge of the coil cover to help absorb any accidental bumps.
Now that's an even better tip. 👍 I might just do that on my next coil 👌
@@180FelixstoweHunter , thanks. 👍 I did debate using epoxy resin to fix the rubber to the coil protector but in the end just used 8-10 small cable ties to hold it on. The only downside is cleaning the coil, which you can't do properly unless you cut all the ties. So far I've waited for any sand build up to dry out between sessions & then brushed it out of the nooks and crannies with a 1 inch paintbrush. Gets rid of most of it but there's always a little that remains between the coil & protector. But up to now it's not affected performance and not been an issue.

Just started watching some of your videos - just wondering why you chose a Garrett’s metal detector ? I am just starting metal detecting husband has been off/on for 30 years - ever over This way stop and visit would love to chat in texas. Trying to learn all I can since you use Garrett’s and that’s what we just bought (hubby had been using whites) TY good hunting whoop whoop
I'll be honest. Finance was the reason when I first started. But having said that, even to this day, I will stick with Garrett. I have tried others but I just prefer Garrett. After all, they are the largest distribution of metal detectors both leisure and commercial. So they are trusted worldwide.
