  • A look into the properties of roughly a dozen elements or minerals and how they can be potentially hazardous (or very, very much so) to the human body. We'll examine historic standbys arsenic, lead, and mercury (featuring guest spots by the Borgias and Pliny the Elder) to ones you may not have heard much of such as jadarite or torbernite...also called "The Mineral from H&*$"

    of the rocks that you presented, looked like nothing over a hardness of seven. If teeth on the bucket of a backhoe are rated in Normal use to remove grade seven rock, why do the backhoe teeth break in rock w a hardness of 6.5?

      Hardness is distinct from compressive strength and tensile strength, among other things.
