I Woke Up and My Truck was Covered with More Bees Than Usual

- A swarm of bees that I caught the night before and still had in my truck was leaving their hive and swarming again, so I ran outside in my pajamas to try and get them back in their hive!
Bee Removal Backstory:
I wish I had more to share from this, but I didn’t film much since I had my hands full with the bees! I was eating breakfast when my husband said there were a lot of bees on my truck. I asked how many, and he said, "A ton, it looks like a swarm!". So I looked out the window and knew immediately what was going on...the colony I had in my truck was swarming again! I didn’t even have my camera on me when I ran outside to get the bees, but luckily my husband did! And I wasn’t planning to post about it, but I put together what footage I did have and posted this to Tiktok. It’s been on Tiktok for less than 24 hours and has over 45 million views, so I thought I would share it here for everyone who might want to see it but isn’t on Tiktok! - Домашні улюбленці та дикі тварини

Erica. I’m so impressed with what you have accomplished. When I moved into my 50 year old house, within two days I had a swarm get into a wall next to the fireplace. I called who I thought I should call, a pest control company. They were going to kill the hive at a cost of $95. I stopped them, paid a $25 service fee and looked for a bee professional to “remove” the hive. There was no charge to remove the hive, but $3,600 to fix my wall and fireplace. It was well worth the cost. I then started watching UA-cam videos to learn more about beekeeping. I found JP the bee man (from Louisiana). I watched, asked questions and purchased boxes to try to catch a swarm during swarm season. Using a bee attraction tube, I caught a swarm. They are Russian Bees and as gentle as my three dogs. Thank you for sharing your story and I hope it will spark interest with people like it did me. Take care, BEE healthy (avoid the COVID Crap) and have fun. Oh, by the way I saw the GMA story and I think it’s great that you met your husband on Bumble. I think it was Karma. Today would have been my 37th wedding anniversary (my wife lost her battle with cancer almost 13 years ago) and I wish you and your husband all the love and happiness that I enjoyed.

Was the $3600 to fix a problem hole already there and made use of by the bees, or to fix the hole made to get the bees out? PS Covid isn't crappie. from what I've seen on youtube a lot of other beekeepers don't use protective gear as well (depending on the aggression of the bees)

I always get so excited when you post videos, anywhere! I’ve become so obsessed with bee jewelry and patterns and I advocate for saving bees to anyone that will listen to me 😂 one day I hope to have a small bee sanctuary of my own!
It’s film clips like this that got me into bee keeping. I now have my first hive. It’s a flow hive which is the reason I could get one. It’s different to the standard bee hive and getting the honey out of the hive is gentler. That was the only reason I didn’t want to go into beekeeping. I didn’t want to squash the bees. What I’m trying to say is you can have a beehive of your own. Anywhere.

I'll tell what most people don't realize but mosquitoes pollinate more agriculture then bees. Strange but true.
Good on you mate...ignore the idiots that critisize and do your good work please. You caught my eye on UA-cam because you were not wearing a vei but the ignorant idiots who lack brains also lack the ability to 'read' a swarm or a colony of bees and hence have to open their mouths to complain.

When I do swarm shakes I do a dab of lemongrass or swarm commander on the bottom boards. I suspect the smell has lingered in my truck bed as I've had two swarms show up clinging to the wall of my truck bed over the last 3 seasons.

My truck had more bee's then usual hahahaha love these vids they make me smile.
Those who save the bees usually sleep in their clothes in case of emergencies. You never know when a swarm will occur and you have to rush out of the house to save the bees. Love you and what you do, it is latterly one of the most important jobs in the world if not the most.

Goes to bathroom, cabinet is filled with bees. doesnt grab towel or hairdryer after showering, just grabs a scoop of bees to dry you.
Goes to kitchen, bees everywhere, curtains are just strings of bees collected together, most of the furtinure is covered in honeycomb and bees
goes outside, followed by a constant swarm of bees.
It's all bees.
