I LOVE Mr H and fFriends channel! :)
What makes American BBQ the best is the time it takes to cook low and slow, which helps it retain its own juices. Saying “best BBQ” is like saying “best sandwich.” You could have some world class BBQ there. All it takes is time and love. The “best flavor” just depends on your preference of smoke, sweet, spice, and other flavors.
The Rocky Mountain oysters is actually clever because oysters come from the ocean and these mountains are far from any ocean. Instead, they have lots of buffalo roaming the praires. 😅
Indeed. 😅
Hope you guys go and video your reaction
Watch this space, we'll get there soon enough. :)
The big difference is in the US they feed the cows grain for part of their life which makes them get fattier. Which is great for barbecuing especially low slow smokes
Brits don't know what most Americans know- fat on meat is good. When properly cooked it helps make it tender, juicy and tasty
Lifelong Okie here. Ive had all types of bbq, especially the Texas kind and this place looks amazing. I see it was founded in 2013 which means the chef is a veteran pro by now, especially if he travels over to hone his craft every year . Any British bbq lovers should check this place out. If im ever in Bristol Ill definitely try it .
Prairie Fire is a restaurant in London that is American owned by a chef from Kansas City Kansas. Jolly did a super bowl episode there & they do American BBQ
Sadly that particular restaurant has now stopped trading so we’ll not be able to try it. 😀
Prairie Fire is CLOSED
The parking lot at Spitfire, in MrH's video, looked suspiciously empty to be as good as they go on about. Wish i could try it.
Born & bred Texan...that brisket should've pulled (fell) apart lots easier than that and didn't look as juicy as it should be.
Elana recently started talking and she rates all the food always a 2. I think is the only number she knows but it is very cute.
Ah.. that’s adorable! ❤️
This family do their own barbecue in their backyard in the UK after they bought an American smoker
We’ve only watched this video so far but we’ll check out more. 😀
Just finished watching this video reaction, this morning, Mr. H and friends have uploaded their videos recently where Mr. H has purchased a smoker and received it and has been using it, He uploaded a video where he got to meet the man Aaron Franklin in TX who designed the smoker he purchased and is using. We never been to Terry Blacks before, but we have had some good BBQ before at mom-and-pop places here in SoCal over at Jay Bee's BBQ Ribs, pulled pork etc. and it was featured in Guy Fiery's Diners Drive in and Dives show. I do not know if there is a video for it on UA-cam, I would suggest trying Terry Black's in either Austin TX or Dallas TX first and then at the Spitfire in England, it would be wonderful and genuine comparison to see you two do! Peace. ☮
I think we'd most likely be disappointed at The Spitfire after trying the authentic BBQ at Terry Blacks (or another Texan BBQ). :)
@@AliKaiProject There's only one way to find out and be absolutely certain. 😊☮️
Sorry for your tech trouble. Keep the faith. Very Best Regards from the America mid-west (Missouri)
It'll sort itself out, thanks for watching! :)
They are recently back from Texas. They went to Florida for a wedding (Elaina was in), then were invited to meet up with some special folks; mostly from the BBQ world. You might be interested in their smoker adventures, too. They bought one they decided it was not big enough. The second one barely fit through the gate in their back garden. And she does lots of cooking trying to copy American recipes.
We'll have to have a look at their smoker stuff, it sounds quite interesting.
@@AliKaiProject They have really embraced the smoker culture. Mr. H just smoked ribs and a brisket in his smoker. They've been cooking all kinds of American dishes so you can watch and get a good idea of how easy some of the dishes you want to try are to make. While they were last here back in May, they did some collaboration videos. Cowboy Kent is the most recent one they just uploaded. You'd love his videos!!
We've very briefly looked at Cowboy Kent's biscuits and gravy video as we are going to use that as a guide when we cook it for ourselves. Sounds like an awesome collaboration, we'll have to take a look. :)
@@AliKaiProject Fabulous! Can't wait to see you try them! I will give you one tip on shaping the biscuits. If you don't have a round cookie cutter or don't have one that you think is a good size, you can use a regular drinking glass. Just dip the rim in a bit of flour so the dough doesn't stick, and don't twist. Just straight down and back up. If you twist you could seal the dough and you won't have as many good layers. You REALLY want the flaky layers :).
Rocky mountain oysters ,and lamb fries aren't BBQ they're battered ,and fried. You won't find them in A BBQ restaurant.
They had BBQ at Disney. Everything is crap at Disney. You can get good BBQ in Fla. Actually you can get good BBQ in nearly every state.
.
You two should checkout "Your New Zealand Family" trying Terry Blacks. Some of their comments had me dying, you'll love them
Unfortunately we can't react to their videos as they do not allow it as far as we are aware. Thank you for the suggestion though. :)
