That is Auntie Ann's take on Pigs in a Blanket. It's got that name because many hot dogs are made from pork and pork comes from pigs. There is no bacon. My family used to make pigs in a blanket all the time during the holidays-- Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's.

Fun video and reaction. Not as many people going to malls since the pandemic and since the explosion of on-line shopping. Also, the Mall in Moorestown , N.J. has a lot of competition-- with 3 more malls in close proximity -- Cherry Hill Mall, Echelon Mall, and Deptford mall -- all right outside of Philadelphia in New Jersey. When Gaynor said that maybe it's in North Jersey - she might have been thinking about the town of Morristown, N.J. which is in Morris County, N.J., suburban New York. Moorestown and Morristown pronounced differently. But sometimes confused, especially since they're both in the same state.

I worked at an auntie annes around 1996 as my weekend job at a farmer's market around PA.
My favorite thing about the job was the customization of my own pretzels. My choice of favorite was jalapeno pretzel with frosting.
Even if i wasn't working the other employees knew i would be getting two if i was standing in line.
The rest of the line would be watching my two glories and suddenly everyone would be wanting to try it.
The other perk is due to food code the ingredients would have to be discarded but the manager knew sacks of frosting would not go bad. I was still a teenager so i would use that for morning coffee. A squirt of sugar was like a spoonful of sugar but tasted better. Just a warning, i was a teenager and all those calories just melted just by existing.

They said if there are any Amish watching let them know. The Amish don't use anything requiring electricity. They don't watch TV and they don't allow photos or videos taken of themselves. They base this on a Bible verse talking about "graven images". Any Amish you see on TV aren't practicing Amish.

I love to get Auntie Anne's regular pretzel or pretzel bites & get extra honey mustard sauce which is a little sweet & tangy & I would get a strawberry julius at Orange Julius & get a massage after work there at the mall. Pigs in a blanket is tiny sausages or hotdogs cut up wrapped in flattened biscuit dough. We have pre made biscuit dough. Usually there's no bacon unless you just add bacon to the hotdogs or sausage. The pig is the sausage or hotdogs & the blankets is the biscuit dough & baked golden brown. We usually dip in mustard or whatever sauce you want

LOL! Moorestown Mall is in Southern New Jersey. I was born and raised in that area of the state, but we used to go to the Cherry Hill Mall when I lived there. By the way, Moorestown is pronounced Morris town. Two syllables in the first part and e pronounced like a short i.
South Jersey is influenced by its biggest, nearest city which is Philadelphia, Pa. Lots of crossover in people, food, etc. in that area. Just like North Jersey is influenced by New York City. You can get a lot of great Philly favorites in southern New Jersey, sometimes even better -- like cheese steaks, hoagies, and soft pretzels.

Definitely don't have the sausage roll culture like you guys do lol. Other than pigs in a blanket the American versions are mostly weird tbh. For example my grandma used to make pretzel meatloaf. She basically encased American meatloaf in pretzel dough. It was pretty good for what it was I guess lol. I guess like "a poor man's" American version of Beef Wellington?

Didn't the soft pretzel originate in Germany? Probably came to the US via immigration and then Auntie Ann's Americanized it.
