Thanks for the review, I bought this item based on this review. It works as expected. Something to keep in mind however. If you use a heavy bucket like the 5 gallon home depot bucket you should be fine. However if you use something like the gallon can from Walmart that is quite light. If it's filled with water, the weight of the water will keep the can upright. However as water gets pumped out, things get lighter and the weight of the unit clipped to the side will flip it over. Not the units fault, but something to look out for.
Saved my houseplants when I was gone for a month
how did you buy it since it doesnt appear to have any place to buy it or pricing
cant connect to the wifi. I have a totally different-named ssid for 2.4 ghz, and it just times out when the app tries to connect. I have batteries in and use the USB. when the usb connects it blinks much faster
Wow you guys need to update the app… I mean setting a schedule kinda sucks, put a calendar to set watering times and days.
Thank you for the video!
What is the message error “Fault 0”?
I just bought one IK10PW and it doesn’t work at all !
Seems to way easier to use than the Moistenland model.
I had a much more difficult time putting the tubing on the barb fittings, but overall I have happy with this system
I used a heat gun and it made it very easy
That's a good idea. Thanks! @@emindedf0
Can I control it from a mobile network, like if i was out of town?
Going on a trip soon! :)
Just buy an aquarium pump and a smart outlet. 😊
I bought 3 of the1K10PW RainPoint WiFi Watering Pump Kits. The first one that I hooked up was having problems pumping an equal amount of water to the 2 plants (with equal length tubes), one was dripping fine and the other tube was dry?
So, I set it up as simply as I could, 1 short tube with incoming water out of a pint glass and 1 short tube for the outgoing water to an empty pint glass without the metal water filter on the incoming water. I also had a USB power monitoring device to see how much power it was using. I tested all 3 of them and the first one that I was having problems with was pumping about 4 oz. of water in 1 minute and was using ~5V & 0.09 Amps. It turned out that the other 2 that I bought performed much better and were pumping ~16 oz. of water in 1 minute and was using ~5V & 0.18 Amps.
The bad news is, the first one that I installed was defective but the good news is that the other 2 that I bought were pumping at the 16 oz per minute level and when I put one of them on the initial 2 plants both were watered equally.
If u lose WiFi will the pump still water the plants as it was set on the app or will it just do nothing until it gets WiFi back
Former
you guys should do a dual pump setup
Thank you for your message, we are about to launch our new solar water pump in October, you can always keep an eye on it.
This is an absolutely amazing system! I have quite a few plants that I love dearly, and this system is the perfect way to keep my babies watered when we are away! (NO MORE WORRIES!) I just saw this today on a plant channel here on UA-cam today and I was so impressed with it that I couldn't go without leaving a comment on how great it is! 💚🪴

We are glad that our products can really help you. We wish you all the best in using it.😁
Question, If I set it at 7D 00h and 40s that would mean it would run Once a week for 40 second? I am trying to get the device to run once a week while I am away.
Yes!
Great concept and great idea but guys you need a major improvement on the demonstration of the product for a newbie like myself. There were many steps left out on the video and many do’s and dont’s after visiting your website and watching this video I can’t still figure out whether I’ll be able to set it up
Dear, thank you for your comments. This is our email:support@rainpointonline.com. Maybe you can write E-mail to tell us which step is not clear?
Hey, the system looks great, but does it always make that horrible sound when it's running?
That’s a good question
7 days is good for indoor citrus, cactus etc.
How much water does a pump put out? What’s the pumps rating? Even milliliters per minute output would be helpful.
I am wondering the same thing

What is the USB cable plugged in to?
Hello thank you for the video, will this still work if my internet is down and not connected to wifi anymore after initial first set up?
If the internet is disconnected, the device cannot automatically conneect to the net. You can manuallu remove and reset the device on the APP and re-pair it.
The WiFi water timer unit is not registering in the cloud. Tried several times and is unsuccessful to date since I bough this unit in November 2021. Any help will help.
1. After a power outage, the auto irrigation mode gets deactivated and timer settings forgotten.
2. Can't schedule auto irrigation by time of the day, the device does not even have a clock. Example: To activate automatic watering at 01:00 every day, you have to stay up until 01:00 and press "Auto Run". Then the timer will start and the device will water your plants every night at 01:00 UNTIL THE FIRST POWER OUTAGE. 🎉
So, what are the batteries for then?
This isn't FAQ support. Why would this be the link to the qr code you put on your bunk machines? Wifi doesn't even work.
Hi David, you could contact our customer service at service@rainpointus.com
Can this device be connected to TUYA smart app?
If you turn it off with a timer, when it gets power back does it still remember the irrigation frecuency ?
Hi, If you turn off the timer, the irrigation schedule and frecuency need to be reset when the power back
Hi, The wifi model also can be powered by 4 AA batteries? If running on battery, how much can the battery last?
Cannot. Need to connect it to a USB power supply.
@@georgewu9926 to conect to 12 v, 110 v or 220 v? Theres a Kind of charger who needs?
I feel your clips are very fabulous, but why are there so few views?
Thank you for the comment! It pushes us to do better work! We just start to do social media and we believe everything will be better and better!

It shows water shortage icon besides keeping the tube into a bucket full of water, please help with solving this

Can't get mine to connect
how connect whit alexa this article ?
Is it required for the machine to be plugged into router the entire time via usb? Thats very inconvenient if so...
You can have it plugged to a outlet or you can use batteries. The only downsides to this product that I can see is one you need to use 2.4G you can not use 5G wifi. The second issue is that it does not tell you how much water it moves in a minute so you need to measure the amount it moves yourself.
WiFi
@@phantom2noxious No, you cannot use it directly on batteries. I could not get it working for just batteries.
this can be accomplished using a pond pump and a timer or a smart outlet. using a dripper manifold allows you to adjust the amount of water used for each cycle. shouldnt cost you more than 30 bucks to put together. how much is this system because the website doesnt list any prices on any of the devices which are relabeled from orbit.
I got this whole setup and the extra outdoor kit that goes with it for 56 bucks.
What are the specifications of the hose? Inner and outer diameter in millimeter please
Black hose: inner diameter 4mm, outer diameter 6mm
How do I reset the device? I cannot find it in the manual
Hi Aleandru, Take out the battery and put it back in
Currently having an issue with the watering. when i put the water intake part into the bucket and leave it unattended it will suck up all the water and basically drown my plants. it has happened 3 separate times overall i like the device but i cant seem to figure out the issue. Any Clues?
Can I know if you are using the wifi model or the manual model? Do you mean that after you set the irrigation schedule, the product doesn't follow your schedule but keeps pumping until the bucket is drained?
@@RainPoint I have it set up with wifi but i also have batteries in for if the wifi goes down for whatever reason. yes after i set a schedule it drains the whole thing
@@CrimsonFawker Pls send more information about your device to our email(support@rainpointonline.com). We need to check the plan and reply you.
I think this is being caused by siphoning. Your plants need to be higher than the pump, or the water will keep flowing once it starts.
This happens with mine as well. I set it to water for 10 seconds each day. and it will easily drain a gallon or more and soak everything. I'm using the Wifi model.
Hola buenas tardes!
Below there are conflicting answers to these simple questions about the wifi model: 1) will it work on batteries? yes or no? (if not, why does it have batteries?) 2) After setting the watering time with the wifi on, will the wifi model work with the internet off? Yes or no? (I prefer to turn off everything when I am traveling)
1. This product can use the battery. But when you need to connect the WIFI, operate the APP page setup, you need to use a USB cable.
2. Once you have set up your irrigation schedule, this product can work with the Internet turned off, but must make sure the product is not powered on.
@@RainPoint Ok, thanks! "but must make sure the product is not powered on." I understand this to mean: when I don't use wifi, don't use power. So: wifi and power use together, or, no wifi = use battery. I can do that. [I also have the digital model in my house. It works great.]
My Wi-Fi system is flashing still even after taking out batteries and unplugging it overnight
Normally, the indicator light will not come on if the unit does not have any power. Can you send us a detailed photo or video to our email (support@rainpointonline.com)? We would like to know more details. Thank you!
Only works with 2.4ghz WIFI .
That's why I'm trippin can't get it to connect because everything I have is 5g
3:30 manual
Hi Martin, yes, this product is manually set up. Are you interested in product? Or if you have any problem?
Clip broke trying to put it on the first time. Poorly made
Cheesy video, but have you ever noticed guys named Andrew are usually really hot?
First off ur using white tubes. That worry me because all growers know clear tubes equal algae. So for u not to know that is a direct issues in my trust of ur product.
Dear, thank you for your opinion. We've noticed this and adjusted the accessories. After that, our products will be available with black hose. Maybe you can see this updated product in December. If you have any further comments on this product, please feel free to send us a message.
