Gen 4 is the best; Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum all have amazing music. This tune is one of my personal favorites, it's got a very triumphant vibe to it. I called in my buddy Ryan to add some smooth horn parts just to add a touch more warmth to the overall mix. I went with a sound that's pretty similar to Brian Blade and the Fellowship Band, one of my favorite jazz groups.

Personally, there's not a lot I find to be best about gen 4. Although as of late, it's become incredibly nostalgic. Probably because things are a lot harder for me now as I go further and further into being an adult. I remember so many summer nights as a 12 year old staying up and playing Diamond/Pearl.
And damn, if this soundtrack doesn't lend itself to jazz covers more than any other Pokémon soundtrack, even though I prefer the songs from gen 3.

Not necessarily! There are a few of us in the community who don't read/use sheet music, but I would highly recommend learning! It's a great skill to have.

The sax soli has given me chills ever since that preview on Instagram, and continues to do so now. I love the texture that Papa added with his horn and those fancy border effects near the end. Great job bois!

The editing effects in the beginning set the mood for a song like this; mildly upbeat with that old-timey feel.
Fantastic as always. So many other people on youtube make their own renditions of music that might sound good or add some cool musicality. Yours however are almost always the best at conveying an emotion. Zero words, your musically renditions resonate with emotion, thats talent, and thats art

I absolutely love what you've done with this piece, especially the beginning, the clashes and the harmonies that you've added in are truest genius. Even in the main part when the other instruments are added in like the drums and guitar make the piece to relaxing and jazzy but also very upbeat and fun. Truly a masterpiece.

Though I never knew about Pokemon till sometime in 2013, Pokemon Platinum was one of the first Pokemon game I had ever played and it's been a huge part of my childhood, thank you for making this!

Think this is one of your more nuanced sax solos. It was very pleasant to the ear--idk what you did exactly but it works perfectly. The horn was an amazing touch, too.
