Love this receipe. I am a matcha tea drinker and this is just perfect. Can’t wait to finish getting all the ingriedent so make my matcha bread all i need is the bread flour.
Hi you! Matcha has a similar taste to Yerba mate, with that grassy hint to it. Are you familiar with Yerba mate? In this bread it doesn’t taste strong at all since it’s mixed with the dough. And nope, this is not a very sweet bread at all. For me, I use it for example as a toast with some cream cheese and honey or I use it as sandwich bread. Hope this helps 😀.
El Mundo Eats thanks...your explanation helped a lot...no I have never heard of yerba mate 😁...I don't think that I will find matcha here where I live either....but I bake bread often so I want to try this recipe without the matcha 💕
Hey, high five to bread baking lovers 👍😀! The smell of freshly baked bread is just wonderful, isn't it? If you're up for an experiment, maybe you could use instant tea or coffee powder to replace the matcha? I've never tried it but I'm thinking, hmm.. could that work? But even without any swirls of something, for me, plain as it is is equally delicious 😍. Edited: or try chocolate powder!! That could be also? 😀

I tried this recipe last night. The recipe really only needs 10mins kneading with a ka stand mixer. Great 👍🏻 Super nice.

You could but since it's in a liquid form, you might need to adjust the flour:liquid ratio.
