13b or LS, this is an exciting moment for any car guy. Congrats Rob, looking forward to seeing some confusing reactions at the LS Fest. I wish i could park my black LS6 FD next to you at the festival.
Could you imagine living all your life speaking English, then waking up with a Japanese brain!? That’s how your corvette is going to feel when it adapts to the electronics
Dahm's awesome but he's been lacking a solid routine with content for a bit there, He's been killing it lately with this build though. I hope he keeps up the regular schedule and the quality.
Lol right from lsfest.com “Rotary engine equipped vehicles may be subject to further humiliation including, but not limited to, being parked inside Mr. Chow’s Side Show pit while pit participants engage in close encounters with said vehicles.” They are just waiting for you 😂
Yeah, that's my thought, if you're being a sneaky guy, I wouldn't of posted everything before LS fest. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't allow it in
I'll admit, I'm not the biggest rotary fan. But, I am a fan of how you've stayed true to the grassroots spirit all these years(been following since 2012). I've watched and enjoyed every episode in this series for that reason. I can also appreciate from a sheer engineering standpoint the amount of work that's gone into this project(electronics, mechanical fabrication, etc).
I was replaying underground 2 recently, and when you put stage 2 engine in rx7 description says that you fitting high lift cams... Well i know those performance shops were scammy :P

Yes! There needs to be some of those. Just a little shrouding, then people look closer and see 2 doritos instead of 8 boxing gloves. Queue the raised eyebrows and confused "Eh?!" reactions :P
Lemme know when you build an engine and tell me you don't get excited when it finally breathes life. Get outta here with that shit. I'm enjoying this series, if all you want is to see it running then wait till it's over.
@@nxtenstn I like builds just like the next guy, but titling a vid "rotary roars to life" then having 31 minutes of miscellaneous shit with a total of 3 seconds engine run time, it's kinda not what we came to watch. He didn't even let it idle, just turned it over a few times.
Can you please add short outro-clip (canned is fine) at the end of your videos. When I'm watching on my actual TV I usually miss giving you a thumbs up because your videos just end abruptly. If you had an outro I would never miss giving you a well-deserved thumbs up.
The thinner wire crimped on the end of the old battery cable was never shown in the video but there's a really good chance that was actually a factory fusible link. Automotive manufacturers have learned the lesson the hard way many times. Everything needs a fuse even the large cable going to the starter otherwise stuff can catch on fire in an accident.
The Maz-vette lives!! Still have a little ways to go, but it looks like you just might make the LS Fest with a running 13B-powered C5. Hopefully, the aftermarket ECU will play nice with everything else, and you can get it to tune well enough to be stable with and without boost. Well done, you guys!😁👍👍
Right on man!!! I feel your delirium from pushing hard, extended focus and late nights. Honestly, I truly felt that you didn’t have ice cubes chance in hell of getting it done. This project is/was a hell of a lot more complex than I felt possible by the dead line. You’re proving me wrong. Thanks!🤘🏼 Gawd Damn, Gawd Dahm!
I like swap engineering - I'm putting a 700hp LS7 in a Saturn Sky where a 2.0L turbo 4 used to sit. Just working out the wiring now, but everything else is done.
Talisman1957 those Sky’s were really nice cars for their time, better than the Solstice even. They were so popular that they were sold in Europe and the UK as the Opel GT. Can’t wait to see your ride once it’s fully done and completed. I love Frankenstein engine swap builds

Can't wait to see this Vett under the rotory power!
I love what you are doing here. I like seeing odd engine transplants. seems like a step down to me, but that's probably why no one else will have one. you will have a very unique vehicle when you are done.
Ho ya that moment of combustion sound heard after lots of work done day by day on an engine it's pleases our mind very much.Couple of days before I had the same experience after worked on an old 2stroke motorcycle restoration. Best of luck Rob am curious to heard the idling and turbo spoool . . .

He already had one, it was a pretty clean Turbo II chassis, but he sold it because he knew that it was too good of a car to keep so he sold it (I think)
That smaller gauge wiring at the end of the starter wire, was likely a fusible link. It's meant to protect the starter wire from completely burning up and catching fire in the event the starter is pulling too many amps.
One thing that works good is a nice even bead of RTV an tighten the pan up to point where rtv just makes even contact with both sides let cure then snug the bolts up and it basically functions like an O ring style gasket. It really Works good on stuff like stamped steel diff and valve covers and anything that has uneven mating surfaces.
I can't believe that bowl of spaghetti wiring could be changed and still work but not just work but do what you wanted it too....absolutely awsome and I can not wait for the look of disbelief on everyone's faces 😂😂😂! Not to mention the corvette clan....watching the looks and hearing feed back will be priceless.
With boats, when you add oil to a built in fuel tank, it's a good idea to mix it into some gasoline first to ensure that it properly mixes into the fuel in the tank. You don't want to run the risk of a big blob of oil sitting in your tank. I don't know how easy it is to shake a corvette, but you need to do something to agitate the fuel so it will mix.
Your might want to get a part made that presses onto your tail shaft that goes into where the spigot bearing runs, if you don't each time that you press the clutch the tail shaft will move and vibrant and will damage and wear out your clutch.
Use a speaker to play the LS idling noise to sneak in
Doragon Jones use a kove speaker LMAOO
Put a speaker under the car
I say put an exhaust cutout on it so it’s quiet when it goes in then he can flip a switch and unleash the dorito
Go Fast Juice That is the best idea!
