@@jacobrzeszewski6527 You got it wrong, wankels can handle "abuse" (High revs) better than piston engines on average, but they wont last as long without maintenance.
I'm gonna LS swap my RX7
*uno reverse card*
OK THIS IS FUNNY SHIT
You're gonna rx7 swap your LS?
This isn't anything new in the JDM world
Don’t do it
You’re not gonna be the first one to do that
Rob has blessed us with his most anticipated video of recent up to date (next to the 4 rotor)
Went on your channel like noo your name can't be real but holy shit you really swapped a v12 in a miata now i've got another build im hyped for😅
@@TheStellifly thanks dude a new V12 Miata video is coming out tomorrow

Knew right there it was going down lol
Good game lol
That was a dead giveaway. I knew right then too.
Or maybe, I don't know, the title of the video? ;)
Did you pull the oldest rotary trick in the book by pulling a fuse and cranking it over without fuel flow @7:45 ? That's hilarious in a corvette!
@Lolled9991 You've never owned a rotary, i see.
@Lolled9991 I used to own a rotary, that method very rarely ever worked for me, and the only time it did was when the sparkplugs were just a little wet, when the engine was properly flooded the only thing that would work was pulling the fuse and pushing all the fuel out and then cleaning the sparkplugs and trying again.
Hashiriya*Style the pedal trick work with the Rx8s kills the injectors but the older stuff not so much
@Lolled9991 What cylinders
@@Klutchylol r/gatekeeping. Most people haven't owned a rotary, and for good reason. Don't be an asshole for no reason. Literally no one cares you owned a car at some point
A buddy of mine crashed a Corvette meet in Bowling Green KY about 15 years ago.He had installed a Dutweiller turbo V6 Buick into his C4 Corvette..He wasn't so warmely accepted. They gave him a hard time untill he lifted the wheels and ran 9.7 in full trim.Good job Mike. Here's to you!!!!!!!!!!!
When going to Bike Week in Daytona, Florida on a Metric Cruiser surrounded by Harleys, there was always the thought that I might get some grief, but I didn't. In fact, one member of our group brought a 1968 Honda Dream and was swarmed with all the older Harley dudes everywhere we went. The thing we hadn't anticipated is that these older guys who are riding Harleys now grew up riding something like a Honda Dream when they were first learning to ride and the Nostalgia and appreciation for the bike was widespread.
Last month the corvette was sitting on a jack with no bumper or engine and now it’s driving on the road that’s crazy
But it's not driving and it's back on stands
He drove it home, 250 miles or so.

Last week it wasn't running. It's really impressive that they were able to get it accomplished in such a short time table.
@@sturgeoncp3699 I thought he trailered it home

Should of uploaded the whole project after LS Fest, therefore no-one would know you was doing it xD
I think the comedy values are worth more than just trying to keep it hush hush
This was the plan all along
@@Retrofordguy yeah, I laughed so hard when I saw wanted poster
@Chris Beans it wasn't LSfest. It was a track official.
It's good promo for LS fest.
Wish you had made it on Saturday. You would have had a huge line to meet you man. So many of us with the 13b swap shirts

That would have been awesome! Had some serious setbacks. But made it hah
@@MannyDelReal Congratulations, you finally came out! And on UA-cam of all places.
That is obviously a trans Corvette/Rx7 that identifies as LS
All inclusive right🤣🙄
I love how the rotor engine is like half the engine bay 😂😂
Love it and the LS Jail was funny as all hell. Thanks for building it Rob
Rob won the award for most respectful disrespectful build ever!
Oh my lord! That is so amazing Holley and LS Fest went to such great lengths to set you up with all the banners and the WANTED poster. 😂😂😂😂😂
Printing some simple banners is 'great lengths'?
PnTNecrosis
Dumbass
I love how they made up posters and banners only for him!
Gets out of jail and falls right back into a life of crime.
Damnit Cleetus! You were supposed to have the Golden Ticket!
The only people that sucked at LS Fest were the RACE OFFICIALS. Kicking Leroy out after passing tech for a tech related issue is Bullshit. Great build Rob!
Go watch Cleetus's newest (yesterday) video.
Wasnt Leroy. Cleetus didn't have his racing license and that ended up being the reason the officials wouldnt let him race.
maybe it was planned that he had to go a diffrent route
It was the track officials.
@@j.m.b8661 they also said Leroy needs dash bars and a few other things. So it is both Cleetus, and Leroy needing yet more things for lvm
God bless the LS Fest organizers and workers! Great folks!
LS Rx7 vs. Rotary Corvette
RX7 would win in a heartbeat. Rotary works with light cars because power to weight. Rotary doesn't work well with heavy ones because low torque
A Legendary battle
Ls fest, Rotory engine, Corvettes, Rob dahm And Cletus McFarland. I think im on heaven
This rotary corvette is an Uno Reverse Card.
Love LS Fest for still showing support to Rob!
Very awesome content man
Keep us guessing! Can’t wait for what’s next
Cleetus: "So now that you've made it significantly slower by putting a rotary in it..? "
Rob Dahm: "We got had, we thought we had this" 😂🤣
Jose Martinez read this comment as they said it. Like subtitles 😂
I have been a corvette enthusiast fro 33+ years, I am so pleased you discovered the best of us at LS fest, the rotary engine build is fantastic and I truly enjoyed watching most of it. ;) I am really looking forward to seeing it on the dyno. Now tell me who your frame guy is so I can go to him. Well done Rob, Well done!

Cleeeetus!
This is so awesome. Not only were they waiting for you to put you in jail but you hat to push you rotary swapped Corvette into jail yourself! That guy played it perfect with the "autocross section" shtick. Great attitudes all around! hope you got home ok lol.
Did you see Cleetus too? It was great seeing him in the video. I follow his UA-cam channel and I like Cooper. Cooper is Cleetus's sidekick. They get in all kinds of shenanigans. It is a real hoot to watch. They build some FAST CARS. One is call Leroy. It is a racecar and real fast.
I got so happy and giddy when cleetus showed up. The whole video was worth this wait. Thank you for this project Rob.
See, LS guys are good people.
I doubt you'd get the same reaction if the tables were turned.

I miss content on this. I like the four-rotor a lot and have been following it for years, but this was one of the more unique things I've seen come from UA-cam
This was so awesome! The way the organizers made the whole situation into something very funny and friendly, great to see from a major company in the car community 👍
Funny thing is that chevy made a rotary corvette in the late 70s or 80s (don’t remember exactly when). But most people there wouldn’t know that. 🤷🏻♂️
Shit they almost made one in 73 . Tom Falconer owns it
70’s a 2 and a 4 rotor concept
I had a 81 corvette baby blue and silver inside and out. I bought it but was only 15 at the time so i put it in my dads name and he sold it when i went to boot camp
It was just a concept but yeah it was the Aerovette
Shiny 428 yep, Zora’s Dream Vette

When Garret walked up I died
Not only did you make it, but those guys set that up with the best poker faces before they closed the fence around the corvette. That was perfect
Hard to believe you came from a small town in michigan (same) and now your out here building some bad ass machines. Truely an inspiration. Hell yeah man keep it up

Well done guys but remember that gm thought in a rotary vette first and made a 4 rotor Corvette prototype
I kinda wish gm had gone through with that.
@@yourfirsthouseinminecraft4531 In 1986 Gm approached lotus to design them a 32v 4 cam v8. Gm did not run with it. In the year 2000 GM owned SAAB and SAAB developed the first practical variable compression engine. GM did not run with it. Now Nissan have just launched theirs, 19 years later. GM have allways been short sighted.
2011metalmaniac I don't see a lot of variable compression engines around. As for 32v 4 cam V8's, I think the LS has been proving for 20 years that GM made the right decision. There's a difference between what's cool and what's useful.

GM used the Lotus designed, Mercury built LT5 from 1990-1995 in the ZR1. It wasn’t an effective design from a cost standpoint.
