Hi Guys, I am the lady in that video. It was pleasure to meet my friend, Tasos.
I hope you guys like it this 1 hour video in Malioboro Street (The 24hr Street, one of main tourist attractions in Jogja, also the busiest business district in the area). We just went there for a short time because of our limited time.
I loved to be part of this video because Tasos is humble and friendly interact with local people with his Javanese basic knowledge. He learned language so fast and smooth pronunciation.

Bule .. 😂 .. in fact the official translation for "Foreigner" is "Orang asing" . The word "Bule" is non formal word, and it is usually to be used for "White people foreigner"/ Caucassian...
and when people call you "londo" (that's how Javanese call Belanda/Netherlands) nowday it mean white people same as "bule"
In Betawi language. "BULE" means blonde hair and white skin. Not only for mentioning people but also animals. Example: Betawi people call albino/white-skinned buffalo as BULE buffalo. The word BULE does not contain racism or sarcasm.
And "Londo" comes from the word "Walanda" in Javanese to refer to Dutch and European people. A word used to differentiate native people and foreigners from western countries during the Dutch Colonial period. The word Walanda is often shortened to Landa and changes its pronunciation to Londo. The word Londo does not mean racism and sarcasm.

just for information'the thais call the white/north /central european people farang( from farang-se=France),the middle east and indian people are KEK, a greek a turkish a libanese etc would be described as a kek-cow(means 'white middle eastern),the chinese are called kon-chin(person-china) and the black people are called kon-afriKA(person-africa).
