Selemat Sore, video spectacular, share secrets: drone? master photographer, nature at its best! Cookie sends love & a treat! Love the gibbon, green snake, river & flowing water! Terima kasih
Selamat sore Liz and Cookie. Always look forward to hearing from you. Haha Agung is the video master! We have a little DJI Mavic Mini, for those high shots, a second hand Sony Alpha6000 camera, and a GoPro. The magic all happens with Agung's vision - and of course the natural magic of Sumatra. 😍
Great vid Agung - love it and the sound track and of course the beautiful location - a must see place for travellers. I hope you get back there soon - it is your happy place (both of yous) (sic). The leech ugh!!! As always love seeing you xxxxx🌻💛
I understand that feeling! Always hard to fit everything in on a holiday - especially in Sumatra. Too many amazing places and often spread out too far! So glad you made it to Tangkahan though.
Awww Cookie and Liz - you two are so sweet! This really made our day - especially since we've just spent a small fortune on medical tests here in KL. Terima kasih banyak 🙏☺
Just discovered your channel - great videos. I was planning on visiting Sumatra this August but I see comments saying that it is burning season. I experienced it in Chiang Mai and it is horrible. How bad is it in Sumatra? Maybe you could make a video on it?
Hey! There is reportedly a burning season, but it's nothing like the one in Thailand. Here in North Sumatra, it's not at all noticeable in our experience, and even friends down in West Sumatra say they've never had any issues for the decade they've been living there. We've seen news reports from South Sumatra (where the burning is usually the most intense) that locals have had to wear masks and have increased breathing issues, but it really does seem to be limited to a small part of Sumatra. Also, if there is burning, it tends to be in the middle of dry season - August is getting into wet season :)

Thank you. Sounds reassuring
How to reach here?
In North Sumatra, it's 3-4 hours drive from Medan, close to the town of Bohorok.
