@@gg_mix I just tried it today minus the honey. Girl, it’s so good! It will be on rotation in this kitchen, especially in the summer. Thanks so much for sharing!
@@cynthiac.castellano5139 I am so happy you liked it and you are very welcome 😁 Had some yesterday for breakfast 😋 Thank you for letting me know, I really appreciate it 😊
You are very welcome 😊 The plantain with Greek yogurt is one of my favourite breakfast, snacks and lunch so I completely understand 😁 Let me know what you think of it whem you try it 🙂
Thank you for explaining the baking method with the skin on, I would have peeled off the skin and baked it that way, possibly ending up mushy. A friend of mine told me to place a cooked plantain (yellow) inside of meatloaf and bake the meatloaf. I'm trying this recipe tonight, and will give him some to see how it came out. (This is why I clicked onto your video, to see how to bake or fry it)
You are very welcome 😊 Placing the plantain inside meatloaf sounds interesting, I have never heard of that before. Hope you enjoy your plantain and I'd love to know how it came out and what you thought of it after baking it in the skin 🙂😀
@@gg_mix It came out very well, baking it in the skin is very helpful without it being messy and it's easy to get it out of the skin. I should have cooked it in the toaster a little longer (baking it inside the meatloaf it was still kinda firm) but overall it's like a meal within a meal.
@@curli-lettey4319 sorry I just saw your comment I somehow missed it. Thank you for letting me know how it came out and I am so happy it worked well for you. Your plantain meatloaf has still got me very curious, I want to try it 😊
HI! The foil acts as a barrier. It stops the plantain skin getting soft and absorbing the water giving a nice smooth plantain texture. If you boil the plantain in just the skin and it gets soft and the water gets in you will end up with mushy plantain. If you have any more questions I am happy to help 😊
Nce video but I have to try that bowl of plantain you made, I HAVE NEVER PUT ANY OF THOSE ingredients together :O . I am Venezuelan and that is new to me... I'm in shock hehe. Try airfrying it for 20 at 350F don't forget to either spray some oil of butter... then put butter(A GOOD AMOUNT) and cheese feta, fresco, cotija or queso llanero and then thank me later...
You should definitely try it, it is lovely to eat for breakfast when it is hot outside 😉 Thank you for the recipe I will definitely try it, it sounds delicious. I will try and get cotija or queso llanero, I have never heard of them but love cheese so I am excited to try them and your plantain recipe 😀 Is it a Venezuelan dish? 🙂🙂
GG you just spent the first 5 mins time yapping so much.... I'm British Jamaican and could have gotten through this same presentation in less time. Come on girlfriend for real.... OMGosh.!! Thumbs down,..!!
Girl, yes! Ima try this recipe for breakfast, omg

Hi everyone I hope you like my plantain tips 😁 I'd love to know your favourite way to cook plantain and what you eat it with 😋☺
Ok curious, maybe silly question; why do you wrap it in foil to boil it?
