Hi,i have a B&M shifter in my 1989 C1500 and after i drill 4 hole to tight it to the floor,i drill another in front of it thru the floor and instal the tip of th ca ble to the tranny linkage,even cup of inches of leftover wire,gave it less tension to it,ITS WORKIN PERFECT SINCE 2017!
I believe that you would have plenty of cable if you ran it more straight down from the shifter then the cable loops around your transmission Transmission bellhouseing are at least that's how the one on my chevelle is ran but I did that one over 30 years ago
Hey I know u learning and wanna do it by the book . But u can go over the top of the trans den make a S and it will work just a option that work for mine.. 5ft is enough cable if place it right just my thought bro . Keep placing the videos up tho 💪🏿💪🏿
Need to open up that hole and use a rubber grommet around the cable. It will rub through the cable the way you have it now. It’s easiest to make the original cut with a hole saw but may be difficult now that you have a larger pilot hole
