      @@MixedinMexico My part 2 was a breeze thanks to you and your channel. I would have had to hire an attorney for the same help you gave. I was so proud! I couldn't have done it without your help! You saved me like $400 US dollars

    Since your video was so helpful to me in my journey of obtaining residency, I thought I would share the timing I experienced with you and your viewers:
    6/1/2023 requested appointment at the Orlando consulate to receive a permanent residency visa (appointment was given for three weeks later)
    6/21 granted permanent residency visa (I’m 60 and qualified based on retirement savings)
    7/3 waited in line at Playa del Carmen INM office to have an appointment scheduled (appointment was given for 4 days later)
    7/7 received permanent resident card at Playa (a form cover letter requesting canje was requested, and signature on a privacy notice; proof of address and photo was not required; my visa indicated canje, but my FMM didn’t indicate canje, but they were able to correct at the Playa office w/o going back to the airport; credit card was accepted and biometrics obtained and card issued same day)
    7/8 got in virtual waiting line for RFC at the Playa SAT office (#604 in the line)
    7/15 reached the front of the line, and via email was given an appointment about 6 weeks away. (only given 24 hours to accept appointment time)
    Being 60 may have qualified me for an exception to having to get in the virtual line, but was told by a PDC SAT rep that the “Adultos Mayores” exception requires the applicant to be 65; this seems to vary by office.
    Please let me know if you have any questions regarding my experience.

    Also a lot of these has changed in a sense because of the remote job take over. (At least where I’m from) they will accept the average income , I got the information from an actual Mexican consulate employee, a lot of people are contract workers and work from home
    I hope this helps someone. 😊

    do you know when each consulate release appointment slots? It's impossible to find an appointment for years in san francisco for example.

    • @MixedinMexico
      @MixedinMexico  5 місяців тому

      I do not; @nnamuenmada I’m sorry. I know every consulate is different. Have you tried expanding your search radius to include availability for Consulates in the surrounding areas?

    I can prove required income for the six months prior to the consulate meeting, yet that income would drop once in Mexico since I will no longer be working and only have social security income. My social security income alone does not qualify me. Would I be approved for a Temporal based on this information?
    As well, if approved for a one year Temporal what would be the income requirements be for years two, three and four?
    What if You live there one year and they even raise the income requirement disallowing you to remain on a Temporal?

    • @MixedinMexico
      @MixedinMexico  10 місяців тому +1

      Hi @cosmoscita If you qualify for Temporary Residency via income, you will only need to prove it once; at your consulate appointment. Upon approval and issuance of your visa sticker, you should not have to prove your income again after that appointment; even if you decide to renew your temporary residency after your initial time frame. I hope that helps! If you need any assistance along the way, feel free to reach out (via MixedinMexico.com) We’d be more than happy to help or assist in any way we can.

    Where do you get the photos needed for the visa appointment?

    • @MixedinMexico
      @MixedinMexico  11 місяців тому

      If you are located in the states, most pharmacies [i.e. Walgreens, CVS, etc.] will take your visa appointment photos, with their specified dimensions. Otherwise, most Consulates now, in 2023 take the visa photos at the office on the day of your appointment. I would just reach out to your particular office prior to your scheduled appointment date to confirm, if that is something that may worry you. I hope that helps!

      @@MixedinMexico We ended up cutting the passport photos and the Houston consulate wanted them, they use them for the paperwork they keep. They did also take our photos. Thank you for the reply.

    Hello! How it going? I receive bank statements electronically. Is it enough just to print them out or I need the bank to stamp them?

    • @MixedinMexico
      @MixedinMexico  8 місяців тому +1

      Hi @nicemalena Printing out the bank statements with the bank's official letterhead/logo should be more than enough for the Consulate appointment. I hope that helps!
