  • Hello everyone! This is my favorite gingerbread recipe. The cookies are soft and very aromatic. Keeps soft for a long time when stored in a closed container.
    INGREDIENTS:
    150g honey
    100g granulated sugar
    1tsp ground cinnamon
    1tsp ground ginger
    1/2 tsp ground cloves (optional)
    2 tsp baking soda
    130g unsalted butter (room temperature)
    1 egg
    400-450g flour
    COOKING METHOD:
    1. Put honey, sugar, and spices in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.
    2. Remove from heat and add baking soda, stir (the mixture will foam and increase).
    3. Add butter gradually and stir. Add egg and stir.
    4. Add sifted flour and knead the dough (I took a hand mixer with hook attachments). Form a ball.
    5. Roll out the dough 5mm thick between two sheets of parchment or silicone mats. Put in the refrigerator for 30 minutes-1 an hour.
    6. Cut out the cookies and transfer them to a baking sheet covered with parchment paper.
    7. Bake at 350F/175C for 10 minutes.

I tried it and i absolutely loved it 😍 everyone also loved it, its like a biscuit, hard from the outside and very soft in the inside and it literally melts in your mouth like i gave it to a 1 year old baby and she ate it very safe, AND i left it out in the open for two days and it still the same, did not dry out like a rock and the taste also still the same, Highly recommend 👏🏻🥰

I tried this recipe. It's my first time baking gingerbread cookies & it turns out so delicious!! It didn't last long 🤣 it's about to finish before christmas. Thank you for the easiest recipe . It was so delicious and perfect for even kids.
To those of you asking if it's soft or crispy. It's in between . Depends on the size of your gingerbread cookie . If u follow this video you get a not so crispy but not too soft type of cookies. ❤️

Just tried this recipe! It works 100% and is very very easy to follow. The dough is very easy to roll out and doesn't need to be refrigerated at all. I made a mistake by refrigerating it and it was rock solid hence i was not able to work with even after letting it out a 30 minutes. I then microwaved it for 20 seconds and it is back to normal and could work perfectly again! I could roll and cut and re roll and cut many times and the dough is still very good to work with. The cookies did not spread and puff up a little just like the video. The cookies are super delicious and is not too sweet! Thanks for such a wonderful video and I am really very happy with the results!!!

PERFECTION!! I have wanted to learn how to make gingerbread men since I was a kid. They came out perfectly! I’ll never try another recipe, there’s no need to. I did cut the clove ingredient in half, because I didn’t want it to be overwhelming, but I’ll add the exact amount next time I make it. This was just perfect!

This has to be the best recipe I've ever seen for gingerbread cookies. Every other recipe I've tried makes it so convoluted and uses so much extra flour because the dough is way too sticky from the get-go.
I made the dough in less than 15 minutes. It took me almost a half hour to 45 minutes to make the other dose that I saw.

Edit : The dough was stickier and even 10 minutes in the fridge made it hard. I suggest skipping the fridge part and keeping at room temperature and moulding right away. Taste is good and texture is softer than with other recipes. Thank you !

Hello, I live in a country where our gingerbread biscuits are crunchy. After the initial bite, it still crunches after the next few before they start to get chewy. I have been told that in the US, they prefer their cookies soft and chewy. What tweaks to the recipe's rations, temperature and cooking time could achieve such as result?
