This is a fun matchup! Honestly side one vs side one was harder for me than I thought. Still have to give the upper hand to A Different Kind Of Truth. That's Why I Love You is probably the best song from VH3 and it's not even on the record lol Good call on Blood and Fire... very Van Hagar esque
Good idea! I do something similar with bands released in the same year, and same # of songs... as for these 2 albums, ADKOT is by far more superior to III... I counted 5 songs that I like on III... still my least favorite VH release! I love Outta Space! A Year to the Day... you said exactly what I think of It! :)
@ that album is the proof that Ed needed a strong partner be it Dave or (ugh) Hagar or a strong producer. Left to his own devices you get ideas that lack focus or structure.

there’s nothing on VH3 i ever need or wanna hear again. Without You is only thing close to being OK but it’s bloated and needed some editing.
Alot of editing lol
It's a shame because there is some good stuff there but like you said it's way bloated and the production is terrible

Agree... and even Sammy provided that though Sammy came with his own faults.... van Halen and Roth was just a match made in heaven!
