Thanks so much Ricardo. Yes indeed, instrument weight is very often overlooked by many guitarists.

Proper weight distribution is what a real guitarist will look for. Not the fact it's a few pounds heavier. If it's balanced, and your not under the age of 10. You should be fine with a slightly heavier guitar. Just make sure it's balanced properly.

@@gabe4u22 I'm 11 years old and couldn't sleep because of it so I saw a doctor a while back and he told me to fix my posture , get wide strap and to take a brake and prectice less as well as sleep more. I filled his instructions and did wonders.
If you want to help get rid of back pain don't worry there are some cheaper options for straps out there unlike these which are oriented towards people who have some extra cash to burn on the higher quality ones.
If you're experiencing bad issues and are conserned go see a doctor trust me it's worth your physical and mental wellbeing having that weight off your back. (get the joke , weight back..... Yea I hate it too)

@@pilotreg maybe you need better parents who won’t just buy you a heavy bass guitar knowing you have back pain and not approaching it in a way considering your back condition. This all sounds quite fishy mr. 11 year old. Don’t try to play any sympathy cards here man. With all those intellectual channels I see you follow on UA-cam, way further ahead in content than the average “11 year old” would subscribe to. But sure. Hope you learn to not play a sorry card and deal with your issues

I use Fender WeighLess elastic straps with my three Fender basses and a DiMarzio elastic with my Rickenbacker 4003. These especially help with my Steve Harris signature Precision Bass, which weighs over 5 kilograms. Doesn't hurt or fatigue me at all.

I highly recommend the Ernie Ball stretch strap. You generally have to order them online. Buckethead uses them and plays an extra Lange Les Paul. Makes my guitars feel weightless. Even my unchambered Les Paul.

Think your back hurts ,I'm 11 years old and can't sleep because of my back pain when I practice my bass guitar but my parents won't let me get a good strap because it's too expensive (only £20) So I'm stuck with a cheap strap that came with my cheap guitar (£100).
