hey! do you have dust on your sensor or maybe some fungus ? I cant quite make out but you have some distinct white spots on your pictures. Otherwise nice vid :)
Thank you for noticing! Yes, unfortunately I do have quite a bit of dust on my film since I develop and scan at home. This is actually one of the reasons why I want to test some professional labs this year. As for the fungus - I bought the camera from a professional store just a couple months back, but if the issue persists you've definitely given me a great tip to get the camera checked! Thank you so much for your kind words, really appreciate it! ☺️
Hey, I love these videos, and I'm glad the UA-cam algorithm recommended your channel :). Be careful packing film in suitcases because the X-ray machine can damage the film (sharing from previous experience) They sell these protective guards that you can put the film in by a brand Domke (called Domke Film Guard). I'll be tuning in for future videos. Cheers from Boston.
Thank you so much! Yes, these were taken with the 45mm f2! I absolutely love this lens and it's my go-to for almost everything, even though I also own the 90mm f2.8. How are you liking the 28mm? I'm curious to hear your experience with it!
@@martinadesantisphoto I like it! But sometimes I think it's too wide - either that or because im so used to shooting on digital and being able to recompose all the time that some of my scans I get back my composition just feels off. But it's super sharp! And would be an amazing landscape, cityscape, street lens. I feel like the 45 would be better for more like everyday shots. I know they make a 35mm for the g2 as well but I hear such good things about the 45! The 90 sounds super interesting too- but I've heard that the AF isn't the best on that one. What do you think?
I saw some light markings on your beautiful photos. I think you developed the films yourself? Perhaps you agitated to much or to strong, because what you see is called bromidedrag.❤
Albert, thank you so much for your kind words and for noticing! I noticed these too while I was scanning after developing these at home. I didn't know the term for this effect so thank you for letting me know - I think that's exactly it, as I researched online and it says that this happens "around the perforations and overexposed areas" which is exactly where we both noticed it. During the developing of these rolls I also mistakenly dropped the bottle of developer and it exploded all around my kitchen. It was quite a mess! I have been learning a lot in the past year developing and scanning at home, but a nice test in 2025 will be trying professional film labs to see how my scans hopefully improve in quality. Thank you so much again, I appreciate your kind words! 🥰

I have a g2 as well and these photos are just lovely! Is this with the 45mm f2? I have the 28 but am very close to getting the 45mm!
