I have the Beoplay EQ, Sennheiser MTW2 and the Sony WF-1000XM4. They are all good in their own ways and they all have their strengths and weaknesses but, as of now, the MTW2 is the odd unit that'll probably get sold or passed onto someone else. I personally like the sound quality of the MTW2 better than the XM4's but the XM4's ANC is excellent and the sound is pretty good for energetic genres like rock, metal, pop, and EDM when you EQ it to your taste so I think I'll keep it for gym use. But, for everyday use at home and in the office, it's the Beoplay EQ although I also have the M&D MW08 Sport arriving soon to see if it'll fit in and perhaps replace the XM4 although I have a feeling the ANC performance won't match up. The EQ sounds pristine, clear, and balanced with a huge soundstage and excellent imaging with great separation and pinpoint placement of the instruments. The MTW2 and the XM4 do not compare in these areas. The EQ's ANC is pretty good as long as you get a good seal with foam ear tips; silicone tips will not do for ANC or the best possible sound quality. As pointed out in this review, where the EQ falls short is in functionality with its lack of track skip/back for touch control. That's a real downer but you gotta figure that B&O will get this added with a firmware update. I get the feeling that the likes of B&O, B&W and M&D have hardware engineering that id way ahead of their software development, which is somewhat understandable. They can't be expected to have the software resources of giant consumer electronics companies like Sony, Bose or even Sennheiser. This being said, B&O really *needs* to add the track skip/back feature. The MTW2 sounds really, really good but it sounds a bit muffled and hazy compared to the EQ in terms of resolution and also falls a tad short of the EQ in balance, neutrality, soundstage, imaging and separation of instruments. It's not like the EQ is way ahead of the MTW2 in any of these areas but when you combine EQ's small lead in all of them, the end result is quite noticeable in EQ's favor. The EQ's bass isn't big or forward but it's clear, tight, coherent, focused and deep. The EQ isn't bass-heavy or even bass-forward but it has the best bass I have ever heard in a set of earbuds (except for the Audeze LCDi4 but that''s a wired planar magnetic open-back IEM that costs $2.5K so not an apple-to-apple kind of comparison). Overall, I'm very happy with the EQ and here are my personal general rankings of the three by category: SOUND 1. EQ - by far the best all-around sound out of these three - sublime for classical, jazz and acoustic 2. MTW2 - very good all-around but not as resolving as the EQ 3. XM4 - pretty good once you tweak the 5-band EQ to your liking - very good for modern energetic genres ANC 1. XM4 - easily the best of the three 2. EQ - needs good tight seal with foam tips 3. MTW2 - okay but not good FIT & COMFORT 1. EQ - fits my ears like a glove, stays in place and remains super comfortable even after 4+ hours of straight use 2. XM4 - good fit but a little uncomfortable after over an hour of use for my ears 3. MTW2 - just not a good fit for my ears, moves around somewhat despite having tight-fitting foam tips FUNCTIONALITY & APP 1. XM4 - very customizable, has excellent EQ, touch controls work good 2. MTW2 - everything works as it should, touch controls work well 3. EQ - lacking key track skip/back function, touch control is touchy/finicky, app is so-so at best MIC (not something I'd use often but from what little I have tried) 1. EQ 2. XM4 3. MTW2 BATTERY 1. XM4 2. EQ 3. MTW2 CASE 1. EQ - nicest case I've seen yet 2. XM4 3. MTW2 (the MTW2 is starting to look pretty dated) Based on this, you can see why I feel it's time to move on from the MTW2 although it's a fine set of earbuds. Looking forward to receiving the MW08S soon and see how it compares to these three.
I now have the M&D MW08 Sport added to my little collection. The Sennheiser MTW2 has been passed onto my son to replace his aging first-gen AirPods so he's pretty happy with it. So, my trio is now the Beoplay EQ, MW08S and the XM4. The XM4 has been relegated to only usage at the noisy gym for 3~4 times per week for around 1.5 hours per session. For that usage, the XM4 is just fine but, for everything else, it will be either the EQ or the MW08S. They sound quite different from each other with very different looks and functionality so they are quite complementary. But, if I had to choose one, it's definitely the Beoplay EQ. It took around two weeks to finally and completely dial in the sound and fit on the EQ with the right size ear tips as well as the positioning of the earbuds once they were inserted to my ears. I use a large Comply foam tip for the left and a medium size for my right. But I found the large tip slightly uncomfortable for my left ear until I figured out that I can nudge the earbud deeper into my ear canal. It seems my ear canal opening is narrower than the canal itself so that was causing some discomfort. When I pushed the earbud in deeper, the discomfort went away. Now the EQ earbuds are super comfortable with the best sound quality and ANC performance possible. If and when B&O adds the track skip/back touch control, then I may find that the EQ is really the only set of earbuds I need. I'm revising my ranking chart with the MW08S added and points added on a scale of 1 to 10 for each. Please understand that these are my *personal* opinions and I'm sure that sound preferences will vary from person to person. SOUND 1. EQ - 9.5 by far the best all-around sound out of these four with great soundstage, imaging, dynamics, and resolution 2. MW08S - 9.0 - very good sound but with excellent soundstage but isn't as deep or have the resolution of the EQ 2. MTW2 - 8.7 - very good all-around but not as resolving as the EQ or the MW08S 3. XM4 - 8.0 - pretty good once you tweak the 5-band EQ to your liking - very good for modern energetic genres ANC 1. XM4 - 9.5 - easily the best of the three 2. EQ - 9.0 - with good tight seal with foam tips, it approaches XM4 performance 3. MW08S - 7.5 - good but definitely not in either XM4 or EQ's level 3. MTW2 - 7.0 - okay but not good for noisy environments FIT & COMFORT 1. EQ - fits my ears like a glove, stays in place and remains super comfortable even after 4+ hours of straight use 2. MW08S - very good fit and comfortable but a bit on the loose side for my ears even with large Comply foam tips 2. XM4 - good fit but a little uncomfortable after over an hour or two of use for my ears 3. EQ - lacking key track skip/back function, touch control is touchy/finicky, app is so-so at best; EQ in the app is very good 3. MW08S - physical buttons are very good but the app is very basic with no EQ MIC (not something I'd use often but from what little I have tried) 1. EQ 2. XM4 3. MTW2 4. MW08S BATTERY 1. MW08S - in a category of its own here 2. XM4 - very good 3. EQ - good but not great 3. MTW2 CASE 1. EQ - nicest case I've seen yet 2. MW08S - very nice Kevlar wireless charging case, very rugged, like it almost as much as I like the EQ's case 2. XM4 - compact but rather flimsy feeling and looking 3. MTW2 (the MTW2 is starting to look pretty dated) Based on sound quality and ANC performance combined, the Beoplay EQ is the clear winner. The MW08S's sound is also excellent but doesn't quite measure up to the overall quality of the EQ. The EQ's soundstage has more three-dimensional or holographic depth (distance between the instruments forward and further out with taller height) and better separation of instruments and placement within the soundstage. I also give the edge to the EQ in resolution, detail and clarity. The EQ's bass is quite amazing in how focused, tight and deep it is while being very well balanced with the mids and treble. I'm not a bass head but I absolutely love hearing the bass out of the EQ. Also, the B&O app's EQ function is actually quite nice and effective. I wasn't crazy about it initially as I'm pretty comfortable using the typical graphic EQ (Sony's 5-band, Sennheiser's 3-band and Mac's 31-band with parametric EQ as well) but I've learned to use the peculiar B&O dial/clock EQ to tweak the sounds to my liking based on genres, types of recordings and the tighter foam tips I'm now using, which had greatly increased the bass response. So, I'm often using some presets in the "Clear" and "Energetic" treble positions and the overall sound is now virtually perfect to my ears. The MW08S has slightly more forward mids than the Beoplay EQ which provides a smoother and more engaging of "fun" sound. Vocals are outstanding on the MW08S but the EQ's vocals can sound just as good or even better by adjusting the app's EQ setting. The MW08S's soundstage is wide from left to right but it does not extend outwardly in front of you or in height as the EQ. Overall, the EQ still sounds noticeably bigger and more immersive. I like the MW08S's sound signature and almost everything else about it but it's just not quite as good as the EQ all-around and the ANC is kind of meh. I also wish the M&D app had an EQ function to tweak the sound a little more. Overall, the EQ kind of stands on its own but it just needs the track skip/back function and it really would be virtually perfect and I can just move on and not even look at any more earbuds for at least a few years to come. I love the sound signature and how immersive it is while providing very good ANC. These are the two most important features for me so if the ANC is somewhat lacking, then it's not something I would use very often. I really wish the MW08S had ANC that matched the EQ if not what Sony or Bose has but that was not meant to be. I also never seriously considered the B&W PI7 because of its lackluster ANC along with weak battery life and lack of EQ control. From what I can see, it really does seem that the Beoplay EQ is the "king" right now.
One more update: After more extensive testing and comparisons, I've decided I only need the EQ. After putting on the large size Comply foam tips on the EQ earbuds and getting a tight seal in my ears, the ANC is almost as good as the Sony and it's fine for the noisy gym, even inside the noise cage that is the racquetball court. So the Sony has been passed to one of my sons and the Sennheiser MTW2 will be passed onto my sister-in-law. Then, I kept going back and forth between the EQ and MW08 Sport and, again, no comparison. The EQ just sounds bigger, clearer, and fuller all around - especially after I fitted them with the large foam tips and setting the EQ to Energetic/Bright. So, the MW08S has been passed onto my other son who has the AirPods Pro that he's been fairly happy with but clearly hears the difference and is now even happier. He was also amazed when I told him that the battery life is 10 hours with another 30 hours with the charging case. For me, it's about the sound quality first and ANC second so the EQ wins out easily and is the only set of earbuds I need and want to use. Putting on other earbuds made me think, "Well, this means I'm not listening to the better sound quality of the EQ so why would I want to do this?" So, I'm done. I've reached my endgame until the next generation comes out 2~3 years down the road. Now it's just onto listening and enjoying the music.
Thanks for this in-depth review! I like the Nuratrue for the concept and all...but where is the midrange? I've taken the personalization test about six times and it still sounds as if vocals, guitars, and drum attack are being scooted to the back. Sadly, it would seem these only tune to bass and treble, which has me picking their neutral mode but even that sounds artificial in a way. I just want my classic rock and funk metal to sound true-to-life and fun at the same time- but if the EQs are seriously 400 bucks then I can't see myself getting them right now...
@@ichigokurosaki9117 Just found out about the EX from a B&O newsletter. I don't really need it right now as I'm pretty happy with the EQ but I guess I'll get it eventually... When I do, I will certainly share my thoughts.
I put the order in for the EQ because Floss just could not hold himself playing with them. I believed him cause he is the authority on true wireless earbuds. I got my jabra 75ts because of him and his opinion on them were dead on with mine so i believe in him with these. One of the happiest purchase decisions i've made in a while!
🙌🙌 Love the final advice about figuring our your budget, find your buds and then TUNING OUT! With the constant influx of buds coming out from every which way it is next to impossible to find what you want and buy it. Second guessing is a real problem for consumers. Keep on keeping it real Antwon! Love the channel bro! 🙌🙌
I got the following reaction of Bang & Olufsen: Hi Tom! Thanks for reaching out and for your interest in Beoplay EQ. I will be happy to answer your question. Track control feature is not included at the moment, and we don't have information whether this will be added in the future. However, I will be gladly sharing this suggestion with our development team. Please note that we can not promise its implementation, though. We hope this helps! Let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.
I really wanted to find out which headphones sounded best so I just bought a bunch of them. I’m currently comparing the Bose Soundsport, PI7, Momentum 2, Beoplay EQ, Klipsch T5 ii ANC, and Shure Aionic 215. So far, the Klipsch sound the best. I’m still waiting for the Master and Dynamic to arrive so maybe my top pick changes.
I compared the MTW2, WF-1000XM4, PI7 and the Master&Dynamic MW08 Sport. In the end I kept the MW08S! They have the best case (kevlar, wireless charging), the best build quality (sapphire glas), are extremely comfortable and have the best battery life out of all here. Sound is superb (even though I would still love to have an EQ option, just to have it), call quality is very good and ANC as well as transparency mode are good, too. They check the most boxes for me in one package. The others all have their flaws, e.g. MTW2: no wireless charge, less battery, inferior ANC, XM4: big and fairly uncomfortable (for me), relatively cheap case, slightly less battery life and the PI7: price, average ANC, poor battery life and Bluetooth range etc.
I can't believe how good these Beoplay EQ sound considering they are wireless. Its simply amazing sound quality period. And then the fact they give a quiet ink black background on wireless iems! They have nailed the sound. All genres, all songs, all music sounds euphonic with the EQ.Holographic,Transparent, neutral, fast, accurate, detailed with perfect tone and warmth. And it sounds good at lower volumes because it retains details and dynamics at lower volume.
That advice about the volume is a great addition to this vid. I try to be mindful of my volume, but I know that a lot of people blast high volume directly into their eardrums. They'll be paying for that later in life for sure.
Yup, remember folks, don't rock your earbuds over 60% volume. As a bass lover I always turn it to 90%+, but once I read of how bad it is, I went to 60% volume, took me some time to get used to, but now I'm good lol
Man, I've been watching too many YT videos trying to research a new set of in-ear headphones. First time viewer and didn't even have the B&O on my list and now they are. Need to watch your B&O in-depth video. Thanks so much.
I have a lot of older music (early and mid 80s) that was recorded in low volumes. That is why volume is important. All newer music doesn't have that problem.
Great review. I think I want the nuratrue but sound seems to be all they're good for. I'd get the B&O otherwise. I'm gonna have to start saving my coins or just get the liberty two pro upgraded for now. Much appreciated. Stay blessed my guy.
Before you do, check out cleer Ally Plus 2 and 1more comfo buds pro blue edition... You will not be disappointed and are up there in sound and anc as well as battery and are about $100 cheaper
I feel like the Sennheisers have better quality sound, but I like the Portability, features, and wireless charge on the Sonys. Are the Sennheisers that much better that it would make up for its shortcomings?
I'm using a Samsung s21 ultra 5g phone and these three earphones; Sony WF-1000XM4 and Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2 and Bang and olifsen BeoPlay EQ, sweat and water resistant and anc noise canceling and very good music sound and speech, which one and which one I will be satisfied with, I should buy the headset, thanks good luck..
Nice one. For me it is Sennheiser for sound and their sound signature consistency. Sony for features, bass and as a pure consumer oriented product. B&O is indeed very nice/good sound and for niche market. NuraTrue - never heard them. Additionally Klipsch T5 ii ANC - nah, Sennheiser sound signature/stage is better, at least for me. :) P.S. Good sound - True Wireless from Technics and Yamaha. Feature wise they are not on par.
Sorry for being out of topic, but can you ppease tell me which one sound better (good separation and overall clear sounding)? Soundcore life q20 or the oneodio pro 30? I wish I could try them both but I can't.
I bought the PI7’s but sent them back for a refund. Their sound signature is dark and the vocals lack sharp acid details. Bass was too overwhelming which was muddy on all genres of music. I’m gonna give the EQ’s a shot
interesting comparison... where is soundcore liberty 2 pro ranked with these? thanks.... I am looking for a worthy upgrade. only care for sound quality.... great review
Nice review, I am currently using the Buds Plus because they fit the best in my ears. I have tried the Momentums 2 and also Jabra Elite 75t. The both fell out of my ears. SO powerlifting or running or kickboxing will let these expensive headphones fell out of my ears. (can't have that!) Tomorrow I will receive the Sony WF 1000xm4. Hopefully these will fit in just perfect otherwise I will return them as well. The bass on the Elite 75t was perfect. I thought these where for my kind of music the best. (Rap, Techno and Hardstyle) I do think these all are way too expensive but if the fit was perfect on the Jabra, I would have use this as my main driver instead of the Buds plus. But the Buds plus are just perfect in the ear and they are very light weighted so there for it was for me the best so far. Sound is a bit flat but I rather have in ear headphones that's still in my ear than to have me worried to lose them while training. Especially when Running :) The Momentum 2 just fell out of my ear on the ground, and if this happens to often, the headphone will damage.... The wingtip on the Buds + are amazing. Will come back if the Sony fits just like the buds.
@@ehabal-hanash2533 So much more bass. But the comfort on the Buds Plus is better. But I also bought the anker L3P and these are the best in ear headphones on the planet! I sold my Buds plus and the XM4's returned. For that price you have 2 Anker L3P's for the same price. So I bought one for my girlfriend too.
Hey, out of topic here. In my country, the sonys are the same price as the soundcore liberty 3 pros. Which one do you think I should get? Thanks for your help
I am still using first generation Momentum because of the base and sound.I tested some ANC headphones and earbuds man i just could not get used too active ANC.Honestly i want to switch B&O EQ but i tested their headphones and earbuds at Moscow last year. They were crystal clear but lack of base and bass to my ears also volume level was too low.
My first interest ia sony, then i started to hear sample for sennhisers. It sound better and brighter. But after i listen to beoplay Eq it is clearly the winner. I like to listen all types of music n enjoy but most of the time i cant get clear sound from rock or metal songs. It keep on messed up together . But after i listening to beaoplay eq, it does a great job. But after all it just a sound sample. Thanks for all the hard work..
Yeah, personally the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 1 still have the best sound I've heard out of TW earbuds. I'd put the Sennheiser MTW2s in 2nd place and I have the Nuratrues and WF1000XM4s tied for 3rd but I still need a few more days to test the Nuratrues before coming to a conclusion. I'm seriously interested in the Beoplay EQs but not sure if I want to drop $700 CAD after tax on them, I'd have to return the Nuratrues and WF1000XM4s to order them. From your experience do you think it'd be worth it? ANC *has* to be good too, since using the WF1000XM4s I can't use a pair of wireless buds without really good ANC, that's where the Nuratrues are lacking for me unfortunately
Jbl club pro plus is the king not even close. Please make a review on it . Play on the equalizer because it’s the best. The equalizer is like studio quality.
Hi. I really liked your comparison. I have the jabra 85t and i want to upgrade to the next level. Also, i am really disappointed from the call quality of the 85t. Everyone tells me that there is a lot of background noise and they can not hear me !!! all the time !!! I can not understand why the 85t have good anc for me (so i hear everyone clear and clear music) but there is not anc for the other end. So they can also hear only me and not my scrounging. I realy like to hear from you how the eq on call quality. I am talking aboute a situation when i am near a road with cars or in the mall and people talking. Everyday use basically. Thanks man 😁
Which are the Best Truly Wireless Earbuds sound wise only of these listed below ⬇️ I already have both BEOPLAYS (EQ and EX) but I want another pair for when I’m out and about on the go sound quality only? 1)Bowers and Wilkins P.I. 7 2)Technics A-60 3)Masters and Dynamics MW08 4)Sennheisser TW3
WOW !!!! Without a binaural test, this is, BY FAR, the best review i have watched !!!!! Good job sir !!! But one thing: where is the B&W PI7?!?!?! They sound like bricks in your face 😂😂 Did you tried them? Do you own them? (Sorry for my bad english, i speak french). Between the B&O amd the neuratrue, is there a big difference on the sound quality? Same level of bass? I have Bose quietcomfort earbuds, but like you, i want to upgrade my earbuds library 😄
I think to be fair you have to name the type of music. To have R&B, rap or hip hop as a definitions of the sound quality of these earbuds is a loaded or really biased comparison for audio quality. This is not to say those genres are not a viable test because the population says different. What I am saying is that for rock and hard rock and heavy metal, the vocal or lead singer themselves are an instrument in the band you want more forward in a lot of cases. EXAMPLE: If you play AC/ DC “Thunderstruck” then play Rush “Tom Sawyer” and then Play Metallica “One” and then play Disturbed “Sound of Silence” and some Alice and Chains and you compare them on the B&O EQ and then even just to the Sennheiser CX Plus you will notice dramatic difference betweeen these two brands of ear buds. First: The B&O EQ are wonderfully beautiful and fully musical earbuds but the mids and vocals are a bit recessed. Play the two earbud brands I mentioned and you will clearly hear what I mean. Second, the app or EQ for the B&O does not really allow you to raise the mids or vocals wherever you set it. I am not paid. I am an audiophile with a bias toward hard rock and metal. The Sennheiser CX plus wins for hard rock and metal and is far less expensive. They are also louder. I would say the B&O EQ are warmer and have better control on the highs but they lack something for rock. The Sennheiser has a grainier hard rock delivery and tho vocals as an instrument are far more forward and the they go much louder. The B&O EQ are beautiful and for other genre it is very hard to compare since they just so flat at musical and when I played New Age music as a test they won but most of that music was instrumental without vocals. If I were coaching the engineers at B&O I would say: -more volume please -adjust your sound signature so you are better in the hard rock and metal genre as well or make your equalizer better -allow more EQ adjustments for the mids and maybe for this price a 7 band EQ since it’s called EQ Really the perfect earbuds IMO would be a combination of the Sennheiser and B&O EQ but for now I have to keep both for different music types. I also want to add that I feel the Sennheisers are more comfortable and more unnoticeable while in ear.
With the beoplay EQ you can adjust the mids by adjusting the bass and treble. No different to the three band equaliser on the sennheiser. If the mids are recessed because the treble and or bass is too strong just move the circle to less bass less treble etc. Obviously it's not a 7 band eq and it also won't change the tone of the mids.
Hi, my man, New Stuff TV, thanks a bunch for this detailed amazing vedo. Could you please review and analyze in detail B&O H95 & APM headphones, especially sound/audio quality? Thanks.
I got the sennheiser and I haven’t looked back or regretted since .. the earbud can rival even some over ear headphones the only earbud that can touch it is this B&O but the price is mad high for an earbud in my opinion .. I don’t care how premium it is .. the sound quality is just too good .. I’m not getting nothing else till the version 3 of the sennheiser comes out ..
I agree. Sennheiser MTW2 has a unique and superior sound signature. I absolutely enjoy it. Also touch controls are very responsive with great customisations and ANC is "functional". So no complaints as such
Good work man. I got the sony xm4. Only thing I didn't love is that when you have alexa on it'll drain the right ear bud about 10% faster. So I just have it turned off
Hye.. Thank you for yr hard work for the video. I really2 love the way you describe the way it sounds. I just wonder maybe u can put something in the middle with the price. The bowers and wilkins pi7. 😀 thank u again. I really appreciate it
THANKYOU!!! FINALLY FOUND SOMEONE! I bought the Sony XM4s and found them sounding kinda boring with quite a low max volume. I played around with the EQ and but Trubass to max and still was left unsatisfied! So I returned them. Now there are a scary amount of review on youtube stating that they are THE BEST EARBUDS EVERRRRRR !!!!!!! Yes ANC is very good for sure and battery life and charging case and bla bla bla but people why does sound quality take a back seat to all these other stats when it is by far THE MOST IMPORTANT? Also noticed a lot of reviews and comparison videos give very different views on sound quality which makes me believe that its all subjective. But you can be subjective with the sound quality not the volume/ How can some say sony is one of the loudest and some say the Senheiser is the least loud? There are tons of reviews and comparisons out there. My personal experience aligns with this review so I would vouch for it!
To best use the sony you need to find a DAC that supports LDAC, and also use tidal or amazon hd and complete the proper set up for those apps, I like how people make the price of m4 go down now I’m about to get a second pair for $150 brand new, and I own audiophile level iem and headphone, but the sony I use most, and I never listen to music on iPhone, is DAC all the way except for youtube
@@hameedfazal1463 for me they are the most balanced wonderdul pair of earbuds from all I own (sony, bose , sennheiser, liberty pro 3)I cannot reccomend them enough!
@@dorelgolanconcertpianist2663 great I am stuck wondering between the momentum 3 true wireless which got released now and these I just hate the senni case but I love their sound signature. Would you say these are more balanced for r&b soul and pop
@@hameedfazal1463 i think that the b&o are the top of all. their sound is more balanced to all type and kind of music . i would prefer them over my sennheisers which less natural
Sony: aces ANC, Ambient and music. Review: they could have used better plastic for the box 😂 I got the Nura and the xm4. The Nura are a gimmick... You EQ the Sonys and you get a pretty good sounding unit. What they don't have is the 1 click gizmo that tells you how to best listen to music.
Isn't it crazy that nowadays the bluedio victories that I still have by-the-way sound like shit compared to these new earbuds!🤔🙄😉🤗🤫 I might have to get the Bang actually! Even flossy Carter approved them and that man knows earbuds!🤯🤫😬
B&O are pretty sexy but it's a hell of money. So I will go for the Sennheiser. I like your attitude means you don't praise features that don't make a difference . Does anyone have information about the Technics EAH-AZ49-S Premium. They are praised a lot on Amazon and are about 150 $
The headset I bought uses the Qualcomm QCC5151 chip with Aptx Adaptive support and can go up to 24bit/96kHz using Snapdragon Sound technology. Is this codec the best in terms of sound quality?
Aptx is a very good codec and imo, with most stable connection. But understand limitations of bluetooth codec, which cannot compete with their wired counterparts. Having said that, for average consumers, aptx should be preferred, which at present, is only offered in select high end earbuds/headsets like Sennheisers, etc
@@neo.ciphers They say that the codec developed by the Sony brand is LDAC Max Bit Rate 990 KBPS, that is, the best. so in this case is Aptx Adaptive better sound quality?
@@neo.ciphers The headset I bought uses Qualcomm's QCC5151 chip with Aptx Adaptive support and uses Snapdragon Sound sound technology, in this case, is the sound quality better than LDAC?
🖑🖐 Well you heard the man if you want the best sounding wireless earbuds you gotta pay to play. Noise cancelling is not my priority. I want great sound. Bang an Olsen usually makes top quality, great sounding equipment. Great review of the Kings. I just need a set to work out with. I will do critical listening with IEM'S, headphones or speakers.

amzn.to/3g1otmm
They updated the nuratrue with 6+db general sound and a gain control to add onto the 6 with another 6+db. Tell us if it makes em' better!
Yo 😁 beo's or 3pro's ?😎?
Nice work, can we cooperate? We can offer many free samples!!
I have the Nura’s and the EQ. Love both, but the EQ’s are just unbelievably good
I have the Beoplay EQ, Sennheiser MTW2 and the Sony WF-1000XM4.
Overall, I'm very happy with the EQ and here are my personal general rankings of the three by category:
SOUND
1. EQ - by far the best all-around sound out of these three - sublime for classical, jazz and acoustic
2. MTW2 - very good all-around but not as resolving as the EQ
3. XM4 - pretty good once you tweak the 5-band EQ to your liking - very good for modern energetic genres
ANC
1. XM4 - easily the best of the three
2. EQ - needs good tight seal with foam tips
3. MTW2 - okay but not good
FIT & COMFORT
1. EQ - fits my ears like a glove, stays in place and remains super comfortable even after 4+ hours of straight use
2. XM4 - good fit but a little uncomfortable after over an hour of use for my ears
3. MTW2 - just not a good fit for my ears, moves around somewhat despite having tight-fitting foam tips
FUNCTIONALITY & APP
1. XM4 - very customizable, has excellent EQ, touch controls work good
2. MTW2 - everything works as it should, touch controls work well
3. EQ - lacking key track skip/back function, touch control is touchy/finicky, app is so-so at best
MIC (not something I'd use often but from what little I have tried)
1. EQ
2. XM4
3. MTW2
BATTERY
1. XM4
2. EQ
3. MTW2
CASE
1. EQ - nicest case I've seen yet
2. XM4
3. MTW2 (the MTW2 is starting to look pretty dated)
Based on this, you can see why I feel it's time to move on from the MTW2 although it's a fine set of earbuds.
SOUND
1. EQ - 9.5 by far the best all-around sound out of these four with great soundstage, imaging, dynamics, and resolution
2. MW08S - 9.0 - very good sound but with excellent soundstage but isn't as deep or have the resolution of the EQ
2. MTW2 - 8.7 - very good all-around but not as resolving as the EQ or the MW08S
3. XM4 - 8.0 - pretty good once you tweak the 5-band EQ to your liking - very good for modern energetic genres
ANC
1. XM4 - 9.5 - easily the best of the three
2. EQ - 9.0 - with good tight seal with foam tips, it approaches XM4 performance
3. MW08S - 7.5 - good but definitely not in either XM4 or EQ's level
3. MTW2 - 7.0 - okay but not good for noisy environments
FIT & COMFORT
1. EQ - fits my ears like a glove, stays in place and remains super comfortable even after 4+ hours of straight use
2. MW08S - very good fit and comfortable but a bit on the loose side for my ears even with large Comply foam tips
2. XM4 - good fit but a little uncomfortable after over an hour or two of use for my ears
3. MTW2 - just not a good fit for my ears, moves around somewhat despite having tight-fitting foam tips
FUNCTIONALITY & APP
1. XM4 - very customizable, has excellent EQ, touch controls work good
2. MTW2 - everything works as it should, touch controls work well
3. EQ - lacking key track skip/back function, touch control is touchy/finicky, app is so-so at best; EQ in the app is very good
3. MW08S - physical buttons are very good but the app is very basic with no EQ
MIC (not something I'd use often but from what little I have tried)
1. EQ
2. XM4
3. MTW2
4. MW08S
BATTERY
1. MW08S - in a category of its own here
2. XM4 - very good
3. EQ - good but not great
3. MTW2
CASE
1. EQ - nicest case I've seen yet
2. MW08S - very nice Kevlar wireless charging case, very rugged, like it almost as much as I like the EQ's case
2. XM4 - compact but rather flimsy feeling and looking
3. MTW2 (the MTW2 is starting to look pretty dated)
Based on sound quality and ANC performance combined, the Beoplay EQ is the clear winner.
@@alexkhan2000 can you get the EX And compare them to EQS I want to know which has better sound quality
@@ichigokurosaki9117 Just found out about the EX from a B&O newsletter. I don't really need it right now as I'm pretty happy with the EQ but I guess I'll get it eventually... When I do, I will certainly share my thoughts.
Nura true sound for the price takes the cake.. Value for money, awesome sound.. Truly worth it
I was thinking that is about all I am willing to pay. There app tunes the set to your ears and I hear they have it right.
I got the following reaction of Bang & Olufsen:
Hi Tom!
Which one is best for call quality? I want some just for the purpose of talking on the phone
Sennheiser momentum tw2 has unbelievable sound stage. 👌 Now with that "High end tuning" mode on, its "Technically" unbeatable till now.
BO EQ is better.
@@guilhe90 no, b&i low volume
bao eq is better
I really wanted to find out which headphones sounded best so I just bought a bunch of them. I’m currently comparing the Bose Soundsport, PI7, Momentum 2, Beoplay EQ, Klipsch T5 ii ANC, and Shure Aionic 215. So far, the Klipsch sound the best. I’m still waiting for the Master and Dynamic to arrive so maybe my top pick changes.
Like to know which sounds the best after you recive your pair!!!😳😳
That's a lotta buds, you should give me one of those 🥺🥺
@@selfloathinggameing I’m keeping the pair I like and returning the rest.
This is exactly what I’ve wanted to do! How are you able to return? In the U.K. it’s difficult to return unless faulty…
bought two pairs of bioplay eq sand for myself and my wife. the sound quality is top notch
@New Stuff TV - Where would you place the Sennheiser CX in that comparison when it comes to sound?
I can't believe how good these Beoplay EQ sound considering they are wireless. Its simply amazing sound quality period. And then the fact they give a quiet ink black background on wireless iems! They have nailed the sound. All genres, all songs, all music sounds euphonic with the EQ.Holographic,Transparent, neutral, fast, accurate, detailed with perfect tone and warmth. And it sounds good at lower volumes because it retains details and dynamics at lower volume.
Really looking for something that blocks out the family talking while watching New Stuff TV with HD sound. TY! Earned a sub!
That advice about the volume is a great addition to this vid. I try to be mindful of my volume, but I know that a lot of people blast high volume directly into their eardrums. They'll be paying for that later in life for sure.
As one who is paying for it after years of concerts, discos, raves, and listening to music at home, I agree.
Hmmmmm
Yup, remember folks, don't rock your earbuds over 60% volume. As a bass lover I always turn it to 90%+, but once I read of how bad it is, I went to 60% volume, took me some time to get used to, but now I'm good lol
Man, I've been watching too many YT videos trying to research a new set of in-ear headphones. First time viewer and didn't even have the B&O on my list and now they are. Need to watch your B&O in-depth video. Thanks so much.
Did you watch flossy carters review on them
I have a lot of older music (early and mid 80s) that was recorded in low volumes. That is why volume is important. All newer music doesn't have that problem.
I also love old music heck even 70's like bees gees. In the 80's 90's were great i listen to rock too.
Nuratrue Pro.. there is one on Ebay for sale, but buyer states ""APTX transmitter lost"", what does that means? is it still be a good buy, please? 🤔
Thanks for a great video. I enjoyed not just the reviews but your humor and personal touch.
Thanks for watching!
Wonderful insight, covers all the bases and perspectives and… Great personality of the host!
No. Take a look at some other reviews which compare these two head to head. Criancle is also a good source of information for item/earbuds.
Which of these headphones you have tried has the best sound quality?
I like the earbuds but can never get them to feel right. The beoplay EQs do sound epic though. Do you have any reviews for wired earbuds?
P.S. Good sound - True Wireless from Technics and Yamaha. Feature wise they are not on par.
the eq is better then the sennheiser the 2 best earbuds out now are the bang and olufsen eq or ex those are the best 2 earbuds for audio sound
How would you rate the B&W earbuds to the B&O’s ?
I'm a big fan of SH sound, but I'm curious about dipping into B&O. Thanks for weighing in! I respect your opinion, I'ma go buy the B&O right now!
What's your review?
I had the SH are the B&O better? sound wise?
Think the EQ’s are still worth it today?
After all said and done, what is your go to earbud now?
WF-1000XM5 are the main ones. Oneplus Buds Pro 2 are the #2
Awesome T-Shirt I need one when talking to parents at work
Sorry for being out of topic, but can you ppease tell me which one sound better (good separation and overall clear sounding)? Soundcore life q20 or the oneodio pro 30? I wish I could try them both but I can't.
Bowers & Wilkins PI7 or Bang & Olufsen EQ? What's better?
I bought the PI7’s but sent them back for a refund. Their sound signature is dark and the vocals lack sharp acid details. Bass was too overwhelming which was muddy on all genres of music. I’m gonna give the EQ’s a shot
interesting comparison... where is soundcore liberty 2 pro ranked with these? thanks.... I am looking for a worthy upgrade. only care for sound quality.... great review
Tomorrow i buy headphones, whitch one to buy only for the sound quality.momentum 3 or BO ex,thanks
Still enjoying my Jabra 75T's
Whats the best Earbud for phonecalls and mic quality? My voice always sounds unclear.
Nice review, I am currently using the Buds Plus because they fit the best in my ears.
I have tried the Momentums 2 and also Jabra Elite 75t.
The both fell out of my ears.
SO powerlifting or running or kickboxing will let these expensive headphones fell out of my ears. (can't have that!)
Tomorrow I will receive the Sony WF 1000xm4.
Hopefully these will fit in just perfect otherwise I will return them as well.
The bass on the Elite 75t was perfect.
I thought these where for my kind of music the best. (Rap, Techno and Hardstyle)
I do think these all are way too expensive but if the fit was perfect on the Jabra, I would have use this as my main driver instead of the Buds plus.
So after getting xm4, how do you compare it to buds plus?
@@ehabal-hanash2533 So much more bass. But the comfort on the Buds Plus is better.
But I also bought the anker L3P and these are the best in ear headphones on the planet!
I sold my Buds plus and the XM4's returned.
For that price you have 2 Anker L3P's for the same price.
So I bought one for my girlfriend too.
This was the best review I have ever seen 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Hey, out of topic here. In my country, the sonys are the same price as the soundcore liberty 3 pros. Which one do you think I should get? Thanks for your help
B&Os EQ definitely the best.
True, the Sony WF-1000XM4'S sound is too low for me. I will get the Bang & Olufson EQ
Sennheiser is less than half the price of the B&O right now....do they sound that much better?
no track controls is a deal breaker. I don't want to pull out my phone to select what song I want to hear or to replay the same song.
how is that Beoplay EQ comparedto Bowers wilkins pi7 in terms of sound quality?
Dude you KILL ME, becoming one of my favorite sites !!!
Very good! You understand all our questions!
Watching these with the NuraLoop, looking forward to the comparisons.
Nuraloop are my favorite i hope they release a new version of it 🥰
Just missing the Bowers & Wilkins PI7 in this lineup
Yep :/
Flossy Carter said the EQs are better than the PI7s
Hello 👋🏽
Please can you test the Wyse Pro earbuds and their headphones?
They are apparently exceptional for their prices.
Thanks 🙏🏽.
Jbl club pro plus is the king not even close. Please make a review on it . Play on the equalizer because it’s the best. The equalizer is like studio quality.

Have you tried the klipsch t5 yet?
Loved your explanation of the different products. Ok, I was a little confused. Ted
Thanks man 😁
Is it worth it to upgrade the jabra 85t to the beo eq ?
Awesome show down.....wonder were the Lypertek z7 stacks up to any of these, I just got them....🙌🏿 # newstuff
This comparison made my day. Great job.

WOW !!!! Without a binaural test, this is, BY FAR, the best review i have watched !!!!! Good job sir !!! But one thing: where is the B&W PI7?!?!?! They sound like bricks in your face 😂😂
Did you tried them? Do you own them? (Sorry for my bad english, i speak french).
Between the B&O amd the neuratrue, is there a big difference on the sound quality? Same level of bass?
I have Bose quietcomfort earbuds, but like you, i want to upgrade my earbuds library 😄
Currently waiting on my EQ’s to arrive. Might have to return my Sony XM4’s if they wow me enough lol
And what was.your decision?
I love hanging out witchu. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
EXAMPLE:
If you play AC/ DC “Thunderstruck” then play Rush “Tom Sawyer” and then Play Metallica “One” and then play Disturbed “Sound of Silence” and some Alice and Chains and you compare them on the B&O EQ and then even just to the Sennheiser CX Plus you will notice dramatic difference betweeen these two brands of ear buds.
First:
The B&O EQ are wonderfully beautiful and fully musical earbuds but the mids and vocals are a bit recessed.
If I were coaching the engineers at B&O I would say:
-more volume please
-adjust your sound signature so you are better in the hard rock and metal genre as well or make your equalizer better
-allow more EQ adjustments for the mids and maybe for this price a 7 band EQ since it’s called EQ
Really the perfect earbuds IMO would be a combination of the Sennheiser and B&O EQ but for now I have to keep both for different music types.
So no complaints as such
The Sony's can be eq'd . They bump and can take quite a bit of different tailored settings
Don't matter they still suck.
Good work man. I got the sony xm4. Only thing I didn't love is that when you have alexa on it'll drain the right ear bud about 10% faster. So I just have it turned off
How's the bass, and mic quality?
@@thundergato84
Bass is fantastic, phone calls apparently sound very good to whoever your talking to but the reception to yourself could be better.
@@wurm87 Hopefully Sony releases a software update to improve them.
Hye.. Thank you for yr hard work for the video. I really2 love the way you describe the way it sounds. I just wonder maybe u can put something in the middle with the price. The bowers and wilkins pi7. 😀 thank u again. I really appreciate it
MW08 sport. love to get your opinion on it
antowan .. one of the best headphones reviewer ever ... we love you from saudi arabia ^_^
The eq got wonderful update bfew days ago!!Now possible to control the volume and the tracks and have multipairing:))
So are they worth it more and how is your music listening experience
Great thank you so much for giving perspective
Sony: aces ANC, Ambient and music.
Review: they could have used better plastic for the box 😂
I got the Nura and the xm4. The Nura are a gimmick... You EQ the Sonys and you get a pretty good sounding unit. What they don't have is the 1 click gizmo that tells you how to best listen to music.
Very Sound Advice thank you. See you in six months.
Anyone recommend ear tips besides comply? My beoplay on right ear always comes loose even on the large. Desperate to keep them as they sound so good.
what about the BW PI7 ?
Love the video, and sound "excuse the pun" advice about enjoying the earbuds, I feel I switch every couple of months.
LOL! “Buy the earbuds you’re most attracted to and then stop watchin’ UA-cam videos!” Excellent advice!
I can't speak english. What is the sound quality ranking?
Yo 😁 beo's or 3pro's ?😎?
B&O are pretty sexy but it's a hell of money. So I will go for the Sennheiser. I like your attitude means you don't praise features that don't make a difference . Does anyone have information about the Technics EAH-AZ49-S Premium. They are praised a lot on Amazon and are about 150 $
The headset I bought uses the Qualcomm QCC5151 chip with Aptx Adaptive support and can go up to 24bit/96kHz using Snapdragon Sound technology. Is this codec the best in terms of sound quality?
I believe ldac is currently the highest bitrate Bluetooth codec available
@@mattparsons8598 max bit depth and max sample rate are the same but still not the best?
What about devialet gemini?
Great detailed video!
Great video! I just subscribed!
Where do you get a job like that? I want to test earbud
Earbuds sorry
Someone help plz, B&O eq or B&W PI7?
best eq setting for rnb/soul rap/trap for sennheiser please
Love the advice
Senheiser MTW 2. Are toooooo laggy for me. Sounds good. But touch sensitivity and playback is soooo laggy
