- Pretty bad run tbh, can definitely be sub 24 but thought I would upload this just to demonstrate the new strats. Possible timesaves are: ~10s entrance, ~10s Ships, few seconds on WP, around 5s on golg, around 5 on jumping puzzle to daughters and around 5-10s on daughters and Oryx.
Sub 24 will be coming soon hopefully!
The fact that people still go for records in a game made in 2014 shows the type of community we really had. Thanks for reminding me of all the special moments i had playing this game

Man i forgot how great this raids intro was and how actually creepy this place felt. Really felt like you were travelling into a huge fort you’re not supposed to be in. Crotas World felt so small, you could see everything there was to it but this one really feels like just a small section of this humongous keep where exploring everything would take lifetimes.
I miss these days so much. The music brings back a million memories from playing at 2 in the morning, looking for a raid team.
I mean the games still up and there's people still playing it so you can still have fun :)

Imo the Vault of Glass was the best raid, while the other raids have better mechanics, the vault of glass gave you this feeling of mystery, the build up to it was amazing, the biggest and hardest activity Bungie had ever done at the moment, and it was a mystery from the start, after opening the gate (not to mention fellow guardians patrolling the area could help you) everything was new, the mechanics inside the raid were completely different from the ones in the story, and while in the story you felt unstoppable and even killed a god, in the VoG you felt vulnerable, your feats didn’t matter to the enemies, most bosses could erase you out of time if you committed one single mistake, and seeing Atheon, Conflux of Time, for the first time was jaw dropping, this dude could control freaking time and yet you and your fire team killed him, erased him from all timelines, and the reward? The single most OP gun in the game. And if you were rocking a full VoG set in the first weeks of it launching, everyone looked up to you, knew that you had done the hardest activity in the game and beaten it more than twice, and experiencing that for the first time was one the best moments in all of my time gaming.
I love how the difficulty of the raid never changed it was always a challenge
Nah VOG definitely isn’t the best. It’s nostalgic but the conflux/ritual of negation encounter is so tedious and boring. Raids like kings and Wrath were much more action based and more fun.
VoGs encounters are so bad lmao, Last Wish or final encounter for Spire of Stars are much better.

Honestly in my opinion, early year 2 was the golden age. After all the problems of year 1 Taken King saved the game. Rise of Iron was fun, but by no means was it the golden age. Especially not in year 5 lmao. But hey we all have our preferences 🤷♂️

D1 raids were so fun. Probably because I was younger. Been playing Destiny since the week it came out in 2014, crazy I’m playing it 6 years later & still having fun. I just turned 30 & I’m surprised I still find this game fun 🤦♂️😂. Not playing it as hardcore as I used to back in the day, but still putting in 2 hours after work & on weekends

Why are people getting so pissy about it being on normal mode? It doesn't say hard mode any where and its a speedrun so why would you go onto the harder/ longer raid? If the point is to make the run as fast as possible, why handicap yourself by making it harder?

Thanos it’s not relevant like it used to be. No one plays it anymore meaning all of the fun and competition of wanting to be really good at the game is gone. You can’t force those moments

I’m gonna have to disagree with you on this one chief and this isn’t anything against d1 I’ve played destiny since it’s d1 beta I love both games but I know how d2 can be sometimes but d2 in my eyes is 100% better at this point in time
I remember when Destiny wasn’t a hoard mode simulator and actually got cool looking loot and good exotic weapons and you where also awarded from playing every activity even strikes
And vendors got reset every update
Day 1 loot cave.
It's almost as if it only got updated like once a year, and had huge swafts of content droughts.
At least the new one barely goes a few months without something new.
Honestly, it seems as though all the issues you guys have with the game right now are non-issues.

Flinx As opposed to... what? In rise of iron? We had a new raid, and one new activity which was a ripoff of Court of Oryx. It literally had the same mechanics.
As much as the new modes have been not the best things this game has to offer, at least the modes were changing every few months and offered actual good weapons to farm. All RoI had was one activity outside the raid, and the only good weapon from it was Saladin's Vigil.
It was a good game I agree, but all of these complaints about D2 in its current state can be put on D1 tenfold. We're just more lenient on D1 because it's stopped receiving content and has finished it's life cycle. It's nostalgic for us, and as a result we only remember what's good about it and don't remember it's glaring flaws. Remember, D1 was always perceived my most people as a shit game as well.

Kingsfall, The raid that turn me into a Destiny 1 hardcore raider 😭 back when things were challenging fun and simple. also back when doing raids were actually worth it where you got unique rewards that were only exclusive to the raid which even made you even more powerful as player. that's what players one and destiny 2 they weren't content to give them rewards that would make them even more powerful in terms of perks uniqueness

Back in destiny 1 the raids were simple challenging and fun. we had weapons and armor that had perks that were only exclusive to the raid. Ex the perk were you were able to do increase damage on oracle's and hive was only exclusive in the raid. The armorer perk my favorite by the way "mortal medicine" every time you made grenade kills you instantly get your health back . This was a raid perk that you got from wrath of the machine on any chest piece for any class.
In destiny 1 I completed all of the raids on normal hard and challenging modes
I'm simply giving you my input if destiny 2 raids were similar to destiny 1 where the raid gave you exclusive perks that were only exclusive to that particular activity people would play the game more often.
everything in destiny 2 is always the same you can get the same perk for python on a Hawthorne shotgun... There's nothing unique about that
Even felwinter's lie in destiny 2 there's no unique perks they're the exact same perks that you can get on any other shotgun.
the reason destiny's one lasted as long as it did was because there was creativity with the rewards there was uniqueness with the rewards the rays were fun and challenging etc destiny 1 has never been the same since basically they replace their entire original staff!!!
