Like I said in another comment, if there's a conspiracy, I can't imagine what it would be. There's no money in it. It's not like they're developing a tree farm. They're logging it to be a Savanna. It's a one-shot kind of deal. TWRA is really pushing this hard, and I can't get my head around that. It's pretty arrogant.

Thanks Juan! Snowing here in Chattanooga! Doesn't snow here often. Got about 3 inches. It's shut the city down! They got a bunch up in Music City!

Very informative video. Fall Creek Falls park was created from land scheduled to be strip mined. That's thanks to the forward thinking of area politicians, judges and the state forestry department. I do have to wonder what is going on and who profits from logging an area "to return it to a (hypothetical) original state."

I'm not sure how TWRA wins in any of it, that's for sure. 1K acres is a lot, but once it's logged it's logged. While we were there, it hit me like a tone a bricks when I saw a sign about returning the area to a "Savanna." I've tried to find any academic literature indicating the region may have been a Savanna dated before the decision and I can't. We see a lot of that kind of language in Parks all over the US. "We're restoring this land to (insert here)." If there's a conspiracy behind it, for the life of me I can't figure out what it would be. Thanks for watching!
