"Paul, you're a favorite here in Toronto" "Really? I thought Ringo was" "No, I think you've got good looks to go along with it" "Gee." WELL DAMN THAT GUY DIDN'T HAVE TO THROW SHADE AT RINGO LIKE THAT THEY ALL LOOKED GOOD
I was 11 years old and I rode my bike 20 k to Toronto airport...put in a containment area with about 1000 other kids, sqeezed my way to the front...watching from 40-50 yards I saw all 4 Beatles walk from an aircraft hanger to an Air Canada jet. They climbed the boarding stairs, turned and did the famous wave goodbye. I got grounded for a month !! It was totally worth it ! Now, 46 years I have tickets in the front to see Sir Paul McCartney in Salt Lake July 13...again....TOTALLY WORTH IT !!!
love how they come to one another's rescue all the time - john hears that george is starting to sound frustrated with the interviewer and hops in, etc.
Aww I can't believe he dissed Ringo like that! "Paul, you're a favorite..it's your good looks that go along with it." after he just got done telling Ringo he was pretty much a favorite. What the hell. They're all good looking and a favorite in my book! :D
Very shambolic interview. Canada seems a bit like New Zealand, every time someone comes into the country, they are asked how much they like it, even if they have just come in from the airport.
"Paul you're a favorite in Toronto." "Ahh, I thought Ringo was.." "No I think it's your looks that go a long way" *hangs head down* "Gee." LOL, the sarcasm being matched with adorableness is too much for me.
It's so funny and also lovable of John saving George from an interview about to go bad by saying to hurry because they will seeing the "bricks" and that. LOL. George got annoyed when the man asked how they started. "We bought guitars, like duh. "
I'm rather ashamed about how us Canadians treated The Beatles. When going back to the hotel, John had to be saved by a policeman and shoved into the elevator. Later, he said "I thought I was [done] for it."
John had his number from the start. We are here to work! George says it too. What a stupid question. Loved the scalp answer from John!! These guys had it all!
I've run into this interview a few times now. And I have to say that of all the horrible, bad, lousy interviews the Beatles ever had to sit through this quite possibly must have been the worst. They tried to make a go of it, but they should have just walked away. Constantly insulted while this clown fumbled around for another inane question that popped into his tiny un-inventive brain. I've started to wonder what it was about the Beatles that turned everyone into mindless idiots asking such pointless, stupid questions. No wonder they stopped touring the world in 1966.
Its wonderful to see the beatles of the past in canda i use to fo myself years ago all the time to canada. Its not 12 yrs ago now and this is old information. Today is march 2022
I'm not old...but I was 16 at the time of the Beatles concert! Spent the night at the King Eddy with about 15 girls in a single room...didn't get to see the Beatles there but it was exciting!!!
Ooh, George is really trying to control his impatience with this guy at 3:40. I bet George wanted to tell him to get lost, but was too polite. God love him.
You're welcome. Boy that was a fast response! I also have an interview with the fan who thinks she found Ringo's tie clip (which he mentions that he never had). Could you please post more rare interviews and clips? They're Fab!
LOL good on John for parodying the reporter's obnoxiously insistent question about them not getting out whilst on tour to George at the end - the guy was so self centred that he didn't even realise he was being parodied.
Look at this... they were professionals and showed huge respect towards everyone:fans and press. When I think of all the nowadays so called stars I get a laugh! I mean, the Beatles were already big and humbles, but now if one get's the chance to have a n1 hit they get all mighty! Bravo Beatles.
That was an unbelievably hyper crazy crowd though. Man! I've seen their other concerts but the screams and the response from the girls in Toronto was absolutely amazing. It's too bad the reporter was an ass but they were paid to be assholes in those days. He obviously represents "The Adults" and he was playing it that way. In the end his thank you was very sincere. He was told probably to stir something up. I've never seen them interviewed at that speed before! Media!!!
Wow this was a mess. The interviewer dissing Ringo and George and complaining that they didn’t do any sightseeing. George getting pissed. And Paul gets so uncomfortable and anxious that he leaves.
This reporter is the kind of guy where you can never give him a good enough answer. "So how do you like Canada?" "Oh I think it's great!" "What do you mean it's great?" "What's your name?" "My name's John." "What do you mean your name's John?" ;)
Amazing how society change so rapidly- It`s only from the time when todays parents where young and yet the way everybody talks and moves and acts in this clip is so different- from the girl in front with her fingers held together in a shy way that you just don`t see anymore, to the strange interviewer questions and the laid back humorous answers from the boys who don´t care about going to see the bricks in the town :)
God, that interviewer is so rude to George. George is a fuckin' legend, not a nobody, he had his back to him! If that was me, I would be privlidged to be with all four of them, and it made me laugh how sarcastic John and George were with the interviewer too. Interviewer: "Where do you get the hair from?" John & George: "Our scalp" Classic
has any of you guys notice when ever paul speakes john jabs him, its soooo funny. "paul your one of our favorite in troanto" "i thought it was ringo" "your good looks go along with it" "gree" tap "ill get to to yet sir"
"Where do the hairdos come from"
"Our scalp" - John Lennon
The single greatest interview response of all time
I love how George gets all ticked off in this interview... "Yeah, go on." lol
"Paul, you're a favorite here in Toronto" "Really? I thought Ringo was" "No, I think you've got good looks to go along with it" "Gee." WELL DAMN THAT GUY DIDN'T HAVE TO THROW SHADE AT RINGO LIKE THAT THEY ALL LOOKED GOOD
Not shade. Shade has subtlety
Ikr and Paul also didn’t appreciate what was said about Ringo.
That guy was such a jerk, but they were so polite and professional as ever.
He was an idiot. Worst reporter yet.
He’s doing exactly what every good old interview did back then.
Paul was such an humble guy when it came to his good looks and talent. He's such a charm. GEE was all he said lol.
He was an hypocrite well he knew he was beautiful!!
@@thebaobabs206 Cual es tu envidia Fue siempre el mas lindo Paul y George
Yes that and he didn’t like the insult to Ringo.
@@marurbina353 paul yes...george no...
I hope the Beatles talked about this guy behind his back later
Oh they definitely did.
John tells George to tap the reporter on the back lol
Interviewer: where does the hair come from?
John: Our scalp
Good Ol' John Lennon banter
So funny. These guys were awesome.
I HAVE BEEN IN CANADA AND PEOPLE THERE SO FRIENDLY BUT THIS GUY WAS THE EXEMPTION.
SUXH A JERK AND INSOLENT !
SUCH A JERK AND INSOLENT ! THE INTERVIEWER..
I love how John doesn't even sugarcoat anything. "We don't come here to sight-see buildings."
WHEN GEORGE WAS TAPPING THE GUY ON THE BACK ( 1:37 - 1:41 )....IDK WHY BUT MY HEART JUST MELTED
Wow this reporter is such a jerk. The guys are some classy gentlemen for not being rude back to him.
When George tells the reporter to "Go on." !!!! lol
I know right 😂😂 I was dying
"Where do the hairdos come from?"
John: "The scalp."
He was great at throwing their stupid "questions" back in their faces!
Quick witted.Intelligent and musically and artistically talented. Quite a guy!
George cracks me up....
I know right 😂
Such charming, witty, and handsome guys. I wish there were more like them these days..
This guy makes canadians look bad, If I were the beatles I would never come back. John looked like he wanted to tell him to go away somewhere.
I was 11 years old and I rode my bike 20 k to Toronto airport...put in a containment area with about 1000 other kids, sqeezed my way to the front...watching from 40-50 yards I saw all 4 Beatles walk from an aircraft hanger to an Air Canada jet. love how they come to one another's rescue all the time - john hears that george is starting to sound frustrated with the interviewer and hops in, etc.
Love listening to George talk:)
i couldn’t stop laughing when george said “ok go on” HES SO CUTE
Aww I can't believe he dissed Ringo like that! "Paul, you're a favorite..it's your good looks that go along with it." after he just got done telling Ringo he was pretty much a favorite. What the hell. They're all good looking and a favorite in my book! :D
Beatles were so cute, so very polite and so young. 🤩 They handled their fame so well.💜👍🥰
Very shambolic interview. Canada seems a bit like New Zealand, every time someone comes into the country, they are asked how much they like it, even if they have just come in from the airport.
That interviewer being so rude to George is crazy to watch.
George Harrison is a true legend
George is so beautiful.
God I am in LOVE with George!
love how they come to one another's rescue all the time
"Paul you're a favorite in Toronto."
"Ahh, I thought Ringo was.."
"No I think it's your looks that go a long way"
*hangs head down* "Gee."
LOL, the sarcasm being matched with adorableness is too much for me.
The look Ringo and Paul exchange after that insult is fantastic.
1:40
They were 4 comedians bouncing off one another, enjoying giving comical answers to simple questions.
It's so funny and also lovable of John saving George from an interview about to go bad by saying to hurry because they will seeing the "bricks" and that. LOL. George got annoyed when the man asked how they started. "We bought guitars, like duh. "
It was hilarious how John does his impression of the interviewer at the end. LOL
I'm rather ashamed about how us Canadians treated The Beatles. When going back to the hotel, John had to be saved by a policeman and shoved into the elevator. Later, he said "I thought I was [done] for it."
I just love how the covertly(sometimes not so much) dismantle the interviewer, John's comment towards the end about seeing bricks is priceless.
Omg the Beatles are the best I love all of there songs and I just love them😍😍
Like if you love the Beatles!!!!
When George tapped the interviewer he seemed really mad like he was gonna yell at him for insulting Ringo.
Aww poor Ringo. The look on his face.
WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THIS INTERVIEWER?!
1:35
interviewer makes Paul feel uncomfortable and insults Ringo at the same time
Then he's got the job of a reporter right
Manar A. Gee
John had his number from the start. We are here to work! George says it too. What a stupid question. Loved the scalp answer from John!! These guys had it all!
Ikr
I was there..literally the day before starting high school...what an intro to higher education
It is just impossible not to love them :)
I live in Canada and this is typical Canadian fare --- we have a desperate need for people to tell us we are good or at least acceptable.
lol 3:52 when Ringo tries not to get in the way of the interview and George looks at him like 'what are you doing?' XD
John: busy you don't get out and see the bricks ahahahah
Absolutely AWESOME memories ...
thanks for sharing!
i love how Paul trots off at 2:53 XD
2:53
Lol
I love how George seems so socially awkward and innocent. :3
He's not though. He answers readily and speaks up when he want sot be asked things. These guys were the best. Could have been comedians too.
This reporter knows nothing about the group, except their name and they are from England. Terrible.
Oh my gosh - they are so sweet, I can't stop smiling haha :)
Coming from a Canadian it's kind of embarrassing that this is like the only interview of The Beatles in Canada :/
Yep. Hope the Mounties arrested that jerk interviewer! 😂
I love how George was waiting forever for the stupid interviewer and when he finally gets to him George already found somebody else.
These dudes were belly laugh funny! Cheers, '62 Mathew St. (Total Retro Rock)
1:51 "who's hitting me" hahshahsha john, it's always john
Oh that’s so funny, he really smacks him one round the back of his head.
johns barking sounds so cute^^
You're right, nowadays it's the celebrities that insult the reporters. LOL!
John barking at the end, hilarious!
Canadians are very self-conscious: "How do you like the place so far?".
"Where do the hairdo's come from?" "From the scalp. Gotta go now!" I lol'd hard.
3:27 George was pissed lol
Reporter: I think its your good looks that go along with it
Paul:....gee-_-(While George is adorably poking the heck out of that reporter)
Its wonderful to see the beatles of the past in canda i use to fo myself years ago all the time to canada. Its not 12 yrs ago now and this is old information. Today is march 2022
Lol love how John is like Were here to work not to sight see
Reporter: Where did you start?
George: At school.
Reporter: In Liverpool?
Me: No, on the blooming moon. O.o
HAHA I love how cheeky they are.
That reporter needs to realize they're the Beatles. Paul's so darn cute. How did that girl get so close to them?!
I'm not old...but I was 16 at the time of the Beatles concert! Spent the night at the King Eddy with about 15 girls in a single room...didn't get to see the Beatles there but it was exciting!!!
when that girl walks on stage, I love the way Paul looks at her. and Ringo is hott so that reporter can go..somewhere else.
They're Fab!
george...funny and adorable!!
I love Georgie...he is so damn cute 🥰
George is right that it was rude for the interviewer to have his back to him!
Cannot believe how rude that reporter was to George 😢
I always crack up when I see John hitting Paul in the middle of an interview, lol! He loved doing that =D Aww, aren't our boys the greatest? =]
4:39 John in full troll mode
LOL good on John for parodying the reporter's obnoxiously insistent question about them not getting out whilst on tour to George at the end - the guy was so self centred that he didn't even realise he was being parodied.
"where do the hairdos come from"
John:"SCALP" lol
Look at this... they were professionals and showed huge respect towards everyone:fans and press. When I think of all the nowadays so called stars I get a laugh! I mean, the Beatles were already big and humbles, but now if one get's the chance to have a n1 hit they get all mighty! Bravo Beatles.
Interviewer: Ringo?
Ringo: ugh yes 🙄
Love that they good temperaments.
lol that last bit with john talking to george was fucking funny
Can't believe that reporter. He was rude! Unreal! I was at that concert...seems unreal but true! Never forget it!
Ringo you're pretty popular here
Paul you're a favorite here
Wh-what?
lol at 0:57 John's like, why the hell are you looking at me for!
Paul looked HOT
No air conditioning
That was an unbelievably hyper crazy crowd though. Man! I've seen their other concerts but the screams and the response from the girls in Toronto was absolutely amazing. Yeah, a bit annoying but all in all not malicious.
That girl was just standing there at 2:24 like, "Oh shit, I'm standing next to all the Beatles..oh fuck what do I do lol " that would prob be me
Well same lol
Who the hell does this interviewer think he's talking to?

Wow this was a mess. The interviewer dissing Ringo and George and complaining that they didn’t do any sightseeing. George getting pissed. And Paul gets so uncomfortable and anxious that he leaves.

the only bit of relief in that whole interview was john barking lol
God, that interviewer is so rude to George.
George is a fuckin' legend, not a nobody, he had his back to him! If that was me, I would be privlidged to be with all four of them, and it made me laugh how sarcastic John and George were with the interviewer too.
Interviewer: "Where do you get the hair from?"
John & George: "Our scalp"
Classic
One can only hope that this was an exception for the Beatles in those days because that interviewer was a complete knob.
omg i love John at 4:40 :3 'see the bricks, and that.' XD
4:40
has any of you guys notice when ever paul speakes john jabs him, its soooo funny.
"paul your one of our favorite in troanto"
