How convenient lol, we were learning about CNS fatigue in my exercise physiology class today. Right after I got out of class saw this video was posted. Used this video for part of my studying today lol, Thanks Dane!

The easiest way I've found to test this is to hang on a bar every morning. Whenever your hands are sore or you just can't seem to hang on and your central nervous system as fried then you need to improve your recovery or take a day off because you will hurt yourself if you try to push it when your muscles aren't responding

Hi Dane. I'm a judoka. I've been encountering poor quality sleep post judo for a while now. I had identified high cortisol as a likely cause.. I have found that a 10 minute deep yoga breathing meditation has worked wonders. Something to consider for you protocols. PS. Love your work. Best fitness channel on youtube.

Cardiac Coherence, works wonders. Some yoga exercises (yin yoga) also help in preparing for sleep.

And what about training late night? In my case, i am only able to train judo at 8pm. I don't like it, but it is the only time available.

Not the same as fatigue from lifting, you probably need another meal + 1/2- 3/4 liters of more water

The same deal here of training closer to sleep, after training the adrenaline and the excitement overpower the fatigue, and especially in the days you need to rest the most like the highest intensity ones you end up going late to bed

Where is the commentator from the live, who was at the training stage of his work in the medical field, I wondered if he also adopted the moustache🤔😅

CHUNKING ? (bare with me, it'll make sense why I wrote that in capitals)
I thought you were going to elaborate on my eating, especially post training. :)

I Usually recognize CNS after a challenging workout. If i feel fine the next day i know i have CNS fatigue. If i feel sore or stiff i can keep pushing.

Hows that work? Eventually I get so stiff things don't work right for sprinting.

30 years ago no one was talking about your central nervous system being fried, just drink some whole milk and get some rest.
