Isn’t 20/20 hindsight a wonderful tool for critics and the media? A little secret, it’s also a wonderful tool for coach Self and staff. Believe me, coach Bill Self will be the first to say the team wasn’t ready to play a 9-2 team on their home court, or any court! In my opinion, coach self and staff know that and will utilize their talent to correct it. We have all seen what the players are capable of, at least in spirts, and as the season goes, those spirts will lengthen. Inductee in the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame HS basketball coach
Good thing that defender just stood there an put his hands up on that very last Kansas shot. Ref was probably shocked he couldnt call a foul because there wasnt 1. . That's why he didn't call it for the 2 free throws win...hardly any fouls in 1st half
Man WVU just controlled the games 3/4. Kansas just looked bad. Dickinson is not the best center on Kansas team!. WVU needs to be given credit. Just out coached and outplayed Kansas. Kansas is not a top 10 team, maybe not a top 20. Team
The reality is that AJ Storr is cooked. The other reality is that we are still playing 3 of the same guys from last year 35 mpg. It didn’t work last year and it’s not going to work this year. Unfortunately, this lies on Bill.
K-State fan here. I've enjoyed your content Michael & it was always good hearing you & Tim Fitzgerald do podcasts in the past. Aside from the usual takes of coaches getting out-coached or players not being "bought in", both KU & K-State bball have struggled this season and I truly believe that a huge part of it is due to the NIL & Transfer Portal age that we currently live in. Especially with the Transfer Portal, on a year-to-year basis it greatly hinders team growth, chemistry & culture because of the inevitable revolving door of players coming & going every season. I don't think it's good for college athletics but unfortunately I don't think it is going away anytime soon.
Do you all actually believe the final play was a foul or are you just used to the officials bailing you out on your home floor? Honestly. Where was there a foul?
The problem is KJ didnt try to "make a play" he panicked and ran towards the basket. But like all but one of the other players he went up extremely weak and got stuffed at the rim..that used to never happen kj was always strong. Now they all play weak. Short arming shots, weak layups, defense just taking the ball out of ku guards hands. Etc. Weak!

Bill self got out coached
How about giving WVU some credit
From a ku fan, you guys kicked our ass tonight. Better team from the tip. That's 2 in a row
Great game. I really like your coach.
I give wvu credit for seeing what Bill can't. Hunter is a liability on Defense and they attacked him. And that Bill has 1 shooter on the starting 5.

I think the team benefits from Flory seeing more of the 4-spot.

If KJ starts on Saturday im boycotting
If it wasn't for the foul shots that game wouldn't even been closed Kansas went to the line 17 times West Virginia 3 looks like home cooking
wonder why no one else noticed the huge difference in favor of KU? I guess thats home court advantage?
We were more aggressive at getting downhill towards the basket. Quit whining, you guys got plenty of calls.
That take makes 0 sense. WVU made 0 attempt to get to the paint or draw contact. KU tried the whole game to get fouls and they did
@@Desperado9552 Actually both teams scored 28 points in the paint each. Go look at the stats.
How about giving you a little bit of credit for playing the game
We beat top 15 Gonzaga and Arizona at neutral site, beat top 10 Kansas at Kansas- and the AP still prolly won’t even rank us in the top 25 🥴
It was number three Gonzaga a number 25 Arizona Georgetown and a number 7 Kansas.
If it were not for the Refs in the second half this was a 25 point win. Definitely rigged
West Virginia came in there and just beat you guys in your own house just like we have done many times at our own house let's go mountaineers 🏀
WVU baby it’s OUR year!
Hahaha ok bub
Great start best in years especially for such a young team
This season is possibly looking like last season! RCJH
