I loved the press from Bill Self to activate Moore, Harris and KJ on D. It really brought ENERGY in the 2nd half. I haven't seen Bill do a good press since that West VA comeback on Feb 2017! This is the year we could have a lethal defense when you think about it. Imagine Moore, Harris, KJ, Diggy and Flory all on the court defensively in a press! That would be complete "fire"!

Pretty good analysis. Storr maybe has one more chance in the coming week or two to crack the 8, but you sort of feel bad for the kid. He has to be a better player than what he's shown this year. It's tougher for some players to adjust to Self's gaming style, especially defensive intensity and energy. Some players freeze up a little bit and never feel themselves out there. Hopefully, he can make the most of his season with us.

I happened to miss the first half, but wow, that second half was fun to watch! Part of the fun of college ball is seeing how the players develop over a season (or hopefully more). Clearly we are starting to see some of the pieces come together, and the amount of talent and continued room for growth is exciting. Rock Chalk!

We have a very talented team. If we get Storr going, this team is going to be hard to beat in March AND April.

What a complete clown show Kansas has turned into. Players can play and Self cannot coach. From 1st to what 24 ranked. This is nothing but a laughable display of basketball. Kansas has been failing these last few years and Kansas now needs to get rid of a big $ sign and fire Self. Last year was just as bad and the players were inconsistent.

Bill doing a disservice to KJ by playing him so much instead of 4 guards. It’s back on Bill. Griff/Storr need to be starting and not benched after one mistake. Again, falls back on Self by bringing back the same trio of Harris/KJ/Dickinson and expecting different results. The games are getting hard to watch and it’s really annoying. Ok, I’m done wining now 😅

The reality is that AJ Storr is cooked. The other reality is that we are still playing 3 of the same guys from last year 35 mpg. It didn’t work last year and it’s not going to work this year. Unfortunately, this lies on Bill.

Kj should not start. He’s not a rebounder nor scorer. Self needs to wake up on this. Debunda should start and play more with Hunter. Griffin and Storr need to play more to be more effective. Harris has to take shots and become more offensive. Others can take his place too. When Harris and Kj start there’s 2 of 5 players who don’t regularly score.

Isn’t 20/20 hindsight a wonderful tool for critics and the media? A little secret, it’s also a wonderful tool for coach Self and staff. Believe me, coach Bill Self will be the first to say the team wasn’t ready to play a 9-2 team on their home court, or any court! In my opinion, coach self and staff know that and will utilize their talent to correct it. In full agreement that Dickinson is too slow footed. Particularly when he defends at the top of the key. Offenses just go right around him. Play him down low where he doesn't have to move much.

Ain’t no reason why AJ Storr, and Rylan Griffin regress to what they are now compared to what they were as ‘guys’ where they came from. The offense does not fit them. And thinking we gon win anything playing through drop foot, slow footed Hunter Dickinson is delusional. For Flory to come in and play 17 minutes and your numbers look similar to the starter over you is a problem. Something gotta change quick, cause the offense has been shaky and the defense is non existent 🤦🏿‍♂️

Good thing when Kansas shot that very last shot as time expired that wv defense player stood still an just raised his arms. Even if that WV player would have barely touched him they would have called a foul. I saw ref looking right beside play. He after the short missed shot just walked away.... He knew it wasn't a foul because he was right there looking at them...

WVU fan here: KU will bounce back. They always do. I’m super proud of DD and the WVU staff and team for this win.

But like all but one of the other players he went up extremely weak and got stuffed at the rim..that used to never happen kj was always strong. Now they all play weak. Short arming shots, weak layups, defense just taking the ball out of ku guards hands. Etc. Weak!

I've decided to do a study. I'm going to look at the foul count in every Kansas game for the past 20 years and compare the foul disparity between Kansas home and away games. I'm going to publish the results. If there exists a bias, the NCAA needs to answer why... this isn't pro wrestling.

You have to stop playing through Harris & Adams! You learned that last year yet you do it again??? Insanity! Every team just plays off them & packs the paint. All 3 losses are from that! There isn’t a single person that was in Allen Fieldhouse today who doesn’t understand coach’s message. This team is as talented as it gets. The TEAM doesn’t have enough grit. That’s the easiest way to explain it. Flory, KJ, & Zeke are the heart. They need to be allowed to take over this team.

It is crazy how KU fans talk about their Hall of Fame National Champion Coach. This is why great coaches are retiring or moving on from their longtime homes.

K-State fan here. I've enjoyed your content Michael & it was always good hearing you & Tim Fitzgerald do podcasts in the past. Aside from the usual takes of coaches getting out-coached or players not being "bought in", both KU & K-State bball have struggled this season and I truly believe that a huge part of it is due to the NIL & Transfer Portal age that we currently live in. Especially with the Transfer Portal, on a year-to-year basis it greatly hinders team growth, chemistry & culture because of the inevitable revolving door of players coming & going every season. I don't think it's good for college athletics but unfortunately I don't think it is going away anytime soon.
